
<p>Jaipur: In the coming days, 1,001 kilometres of roads across twenty districts of the state will be widened, and some new bridges will also be constructed. The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has approved approximately ₹1915 crore for 40 state road projects under the Central Road Infrastructure Fund (CRIF).</p>



<p>New projects worth approximately ₹1394 crore have been approved for the construction of 104.49 km of highway projects in the state. Deputy Chief Minister, Diya Kumari, stated that these projects, costing ₹1915 crore, primarily involve the strengthening and widening of sections of various state roads (31 major district roads, 8 state highways, and 1 other district road).</p>



<p>Along with this, approval has been received for the construction of a four-lane Nagaur bypass (Amarpura to Gogelav) at a cost of ₹1394 crore, and for the four-laning of the Nagaur-Netra road.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Road Strengthening in these Districts</h2>



<p>In Jaipur, roads will be constructed from Sinwar Gate-Navrangpura via Dhankya, Begas, Asalpur (30 km), and from Begas to Boraj (26 km). In addition, roads will be widened in Ajmer, Khetri-Tijara, Alwar, Bhilwara, Nagaur, Bikaner, Bundi, Udaipur, Jalore, Sirohi, Jhalawar, Jhunjhunu, Jodhpur, Karauli, Kota, Rajsamand, Tonk, Pali, and Pratapgarh.</p>

Israel Warns Two Iranian Cities to Evacuate, Over 600 Killed in Relentless Strikes


<p>The ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran shows no signs of abating. Today marks the seventh day of this bloody war, and fears remain that the fighting will continue for a considerable time. It is noteworthy that while Israel is inflicting significant damage on various targets within Iran, it is also successfully thwarting many Iranian attacks. Israeli strikes have targeted Iranian nuclear facilities, military bases, oil depots, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defence, state media broadcasters, and a heavy water reactor, causing substantial damage to Iran.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Warning to Evacuate Two Cities</h2>



<p>Amidst the ongoing conflict, the Israeli Defence Force (IDF) has issued a warning for the evacuation of two Iranian cities. The IDF has urged residents of Arak and Khondab to leave their homes and move to safer locations. Shortly after this announcement, the IDF attacked the heavy water reactor located in Arak.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Israel&#8217;s Intentions</h2>



<p>Arak houses a heavy water reactor, a crucial component of Iran&#8217;s nuclear programme. This is the primary reason for the IDF&#8217;s actions. However, the extent of the damage inflicted on the reactor by the Israeli attack remains unclear. Arak also produces large quantities of weaponry, further contributing to its status as a key Israeli target. Khondab also contains the IR-40 heavy water reactor, another significant asset in Iran&#8217;s nuclear programme. The IDF may soon launch an attack on this facility as well.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Death Toll Exceeds 600</h2>



<p>The death toll in Iran resulting from Israeli strikes has surpassed 600. Reports indicate that 639 people have been killed, with 1,329 injured. These figures are expected to rise. The reported death toll in Israel stands at 24.</p>

<p><strong>Latest Weather Update: </strong>The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall warning for 20 states across the country. The southwest monsoon has shown rapid intensification in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Meghalaya, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Delhi-NCR, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Manipur. Red and Orange alerts have been issued for several states, increasing the likelihood of floods, landslides, and transportation disruptions.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Monsoon&#8217;s Fury in UP and Bihar</h2>



<p>According to the IMD, the monsoon will be fully active in UP by June 20. Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in eastern and southeastern UP. Light to moderate rainfall has been recorded in districts like Sonbhadra, Ballia, Mau, and Ghazipur. Rainfall intensity is expected to increase further from June 19. In Bihar, the monsoon has already reached eastern districts such as Kishanganj, Araria, Purnea, Katihar, Bhagalpur, Banka, Jamui, and West Champaran on June 17. The IMD has issued a red alert for heavy rainfall in these districts. An orange alert has been issued for 18 districts for thunderstorms and winds gusting at 40-50 km/h.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Situation in Other States</h2>



<p><strong>Jharkhand and Odisha:</strong> A red alert has been issued for heavy to very heavy rainfall in seven districts of Jharkhand (Ramgarh, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Jamtara, Dumka, Saraikela Kharsawan, and East Singhbhum) and several parts of Odisha.</p>



<p><strong>Delhi-NCR:</strong> Pre-monsoon rain has begun in Delhi since June 17, leading to waterlogging and traffic problems. A red alert has been issued for light to moderate rain and strong winds (60-80 km/h) until June 19.</p>



<p><strong>Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh:</strong> The monsoon has gained momentum in Gujarat after a 20-day lull. Heavy rainfall is expected in 19 districts of Madhya Pradesh.</p>



<p><strong>Assam and Meghalaya:</strong> Heavy rainfall and the risk of landslides are anticipated in the northeastern states. A warning for very heavy rainfall has been issued for Meghalaya.</p>



<p><strong>Karnataka and Kerala:</strong> An orange alert has been issued for heavy rainfall and strong winds (40-50 km/h) in several districts of Karnataka and Kerala in South India. Fishing has been banned in Kerala.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">IMD Warnings and Precautions</h2>



<p>The IMD has advised people to stay away from rivers, ponds, and electricity poles. People have been cautioned against standing under trees and using mobile phones during thunderstorms. Local administrations have been instructed to be prepared to handle waterlogging and floods.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Monsoon Advances Towards North India</h2>



<p>According to the IMD, the monsoon is rapidly advancing towards North India. The monsoon is likely to reach Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and the remaining parts of eastern UP within the next 48 hours. Rainfall activity is increasing due to low-pressure systems over the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.</p>

Bandikui-Jaipur Expressway: Delhi now just two-and-a-half to three hours away, cars to zoom at 120 kmph on new route


<p>Bandikui-Jaipur Expressway: The 67-kilometre Bandikui-Jaipur Expressway, connecting the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway to Jaipur, is complete, and the road safety audit is also finished. Now, the only question is when this expressway will open and bring Delhi closer to Jaipur. Even NHAI officials are unable to provide a definite answer.</p>



<p>The Bandikui-Jaipur Expressway was scheduled for completion in November last year, but due to various reasons, the work was delayed by eight months, finally concluding in early June. Trials commenced before the road safety audit, and after the trials were completed, the road safety audit was also finished. However, NHAI officials are now awaiting the green signal from Delhi.</p>

<p>Officials from Jaipur and Dausa state that they have completed their work and are only waiting for the green signal from Delhi to commence operations. An inauguration ceremony is likely to precede the expressway&#8217;s opening. However, all these decisions rest with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways at the central level.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Traffic Jams Due to Expressway Delay</h2>



<p>Since the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway opened, Jaipur&#8217;s traffic has been diverted. Many vehicles travelling from Jaipur to Delhi now use the expressway via Dausa. This has led to traffic jams in Kanota, immediately outside Jaipur. The situation has become so severe that Kanota intersection experiences jams lasting 10 to 20 minutes. The situation worsens on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Additionally, occasional jams occur at various points between Jaipur and Dausa.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Delhi Now Just Two to Three Hours Away</h2>



<p>Once the Bandikui-Jaipur Expressway opens, Delhi, Gurgaon, Sohna, and Faridabad will be much closer. After joining the expressway near Bagrana on the Jaipur-Agra Road, reaching Delhi will take only two to three hours.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Cars to Cruise at 120 kmph</h2>



<p>Cars will be able to travel at a speed of 120 kilometres per hour. Travelling on the fully controlled expressway from Jaipur to Sohna and Gurgaon will not only alleviate traffic congestion but also eliminate the need for frequent speed adjustments. The Bandikui-Jaipur Expressway is a four-lane highway, while the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is an eight-lane highway. A six-lane expressway, approximately 20 kilometres long, connects Sohna and Gurgaon.</p>

<p>This research, conducted at King&#8217;s College London, closely monitored the dietary habits of over 850 individuals. Many of these individuals consumed healthy foods such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds daily. However, a significant flaw was their high consumption of chocolate, biscuits, cakes, and crisps. The result was that all the benefits of healthy eating were negated, and these individuals faced a significantly increased risk of heart disease.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Increased Blood Sugar Levels and Stroke Risk</h2>



<p>The research showed that individuals who consumed only fruits, nuts, and granola for breakfast experienced health benefits. However, those who consumed biscuits, cakes, and pies for breakfast experienced a significant increase in blood sugar levels. Their metabolism deteriorated, and obesity increased rapidly. Furthermore, these individuals exhibited a higher risk of heart attack and stroke compared to others.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">New Dietary Plan in Britain</h2>



<p>Following this study, the British government is planning to remove biscuits, cakes, and other processed snacks from its food menus. The research found that approximately 26 percent of people consumed unhealthy items alongside healthy food. This is why their health did not improve, and they frequently fell ill. This report, published in the European Journal of Nutrition, has forced people to consider that healthy eating alone is not sufficient; controlling snacks is also essential.</p>

<p>To maintain peace, law and order, and prevent criminal activities during the state-level Independence Day celebrations in Jodhpur, the police commissionerate will now use drones in addition to CCTV cameras. Following the receipt of a night vision drone from police headquarters, a decision has been made to monitor the city using drones, except on Sundays.</p>



<p>Following the instructions of Police Commissioner Rajendra Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters and Traffic), Shailendra Singh Indoliya, issued the orders. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters), Nazim Ali, informed that a night vision drone has been received from the headquarters. Two drones are already in use. These drones will monitor the entire city. During the day, ADCP East-West will monitor drone flights, and at night, night patrol officers will do so. Sunday will be a maintenance day.</p>

<p>The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) released the examination schedule for exams up to September 2025 on Tuesday. The schedule shows the highest number of exams are scheduled for July, followed by August and then September. Over 1200 positions will be filled through these BPSC exams. This includes the 71st Combined Examination (BPSC 71st Exam Date 2025). The notification for the 71st Combined Examination was released by the Bihar Public Service Commission a few days ago. <p><strong>Udaipur News:</strong> A doctor died due to electrocution in Udaipur district, Rajasthan. The incident occurred in the hostel of Ravindranath Tagore Medical College.</p>



<p>The accident happened late Wednesday night while the doctor was filling water in a cooler. As he was filling the cooler, he received an electric shock and was severely burnt. He was rushed to MB Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.</p>

<p>The deceased doctor, Ravi Sharma, was posted at the Kherwara Community Health Centre. He had been staying with his cousin, Prashant, at the PG hostel located in Chetak Circle of the medical college for two to three days.</p>

<p>The deceased doctor, Ravi Sharma, was about to join MB Hospital. His cousin, Prashant, was on night duty. Ravi was alone in the room when the accident occurred. After receiving the shock, he screamed loudly and then collapsed unconscious.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Life could not be saved even after CPR</h2>



<p>Upon learning of the accident, other resident doctors from nearby rooms rushed to help. Immediate CPR was administered to Ravi Sharma, but his life could not be saved. He was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.</p>

<p>A tragic accident occurred near Junglechatti on the Kedarnath trekking route. Large boulders and debris tumbled from a hillside onto the path, impacting five people. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) retrieved the individuals from the ravine below. Currently, two fatalities have been confirmed.</p>



<p>This follows a previous incident where a helicopter crash near Kedarnath resulted in seven deaths. The helicopter, en route from Kedarnath to Guptkashi, crashed in a remote area near Gaurikund. It had taken off at 5:17 AM and was returning from Kedarnath with passengers when it lost its way due to inclement weather in the Kedarnath valley.</p>



<p>Authorities later confirmed that severe weather conditions caused the helicopter to deviate from its course, leading to the accident. Seven people, including the pilot, were on board, hailing from Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat. All seven perished in the crash.</p>



<p>This helicopter accident was the fifth incident related to Kedarnath since the temple doors opened. On June 7th, another helicopter experienced a technical malfunction during takeoff, necessitating an emergency landing on the Rudraprayag-Gaurikund highway. The helicopter&#8217;s tail section collided with a parked car, narrowly missing nearby buildings. Fortunately, all five pilgrims on board escaped unharmed.</p>


<p>Kedarnath has once again witnessed a tragic incident. This time, two people have died and three have been injured when rocks fell from a mountain. The SDRF team reached the spot and rescued the people. All the injured have been sent to the hospital for treatment.</p>

<p>Under the Pradhan Mantri Anusuchit Jati Abhiudaya Yojana (Prime Minister&#8217;s Scheduled Caste Upliftment Scheme), Scheduled Caste-dominated villages will be revitalised. A village development plan will be created for each village. The scheme has selected 777 villages across 30 districts of the state, including five villages in Sirohi district. In this context, Prakash Chandra Agrawal, Chief Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad (District Council), has issued necessary guidelines to the Development Officers of Rewadar, Abu Road, and Sirohi Panchayat Samitis.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">House-to-House Survey</h2>



<p>As per the government&#8217;s instructions, Panchayat workers will conduct a house-to-house survey in the selected Scheduled Caste-dominated villages under this scheme. During this survey, their social and economic status will be recorded in the prescribed forms. This work must be completed within 10 days. The survey work has already begun in Tartoli village, selected under Morathla Panchayat in Abu Road block.</p>



<p>The SC-dominated Tartoli village in Morathla Gram Panchayat of the Panchayat Samiti area has been selected under the scheme. Instructions for a house-to-house survey have been given to the Gram Vikas Adhikari (Village Development Officer).</p>

<p><strong>Covid 19:</strong> The infection rate of Corona in the state has reached close to 7 percent. So far, 131 patients have been found in 1911 samples tested. However, the first patient was found in May. An elderly resident of Rajnandgaon has also died from this disease.
