Pakistani Spy Apprehended in Rajasthan; Shocking Revelations During Interrogation


<p>Rajasthan Intelligence has apprehended a spy accused of working for Pakistan&#8217;s ISI. The arrested spy, Pathan Khan, is a resident of Mohanagarh, Jaisalmer. According to Rajasthan Intelligence, officials from various security agencies in Jaipur are interrogating the accused, Pathan Khan. Jaisalmer is an extremely sensitive and strategically important area with constant military movement and exercises, according to Rajasthan Intelligence.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Went to Pakistan in 2013, Received Espionage Training There</h2>



<p>During interrogation, the accused revealed to intelligence agencies that he went to Pakistan in 2013. There, he came into contact with officials from the Pakistani intelligence agency. Lured by money, he underwent espionage training and received a substantial sum in return. After returning to India, he used his mobile phone to send information about military exercises and movements in Jaisalmer to the ISI.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Continuously Provided Information to ISI</h2>



<p>Intelligence agencies stated that the accused continued to meet with ISI officials in Pakistan, lured by money. During meetings with his Pakistani handler, he provided information about the highly sensitive international border region in Jaisalmer. He continuously supplied information about the Indian Army and strategic areas.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Provided Indian SIM Cards to ISI Officers</h2>



<p>The accused spy, Pathan Khan, also provided Indian SIM cards to Pakistani intelligence officers for espionage purposes. In return, the ISI provided Pathan Khan with funds through various means. Using these Indian SIM cards, Pakistani officers attempted to entrap Indian soldiers using female officers in honey traps.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Case Registered Under Official Secrets Act</h2>



<p>After arresting the accused spy, Pathan Khan, he was taken from Jaisalmer to Jaipur where his mobile phone and other devices were examined. A case has been registered against Pathan Khan under the Official Secrets Act.</p>

Delhi-NCR lashed by fierce rain and winds: 4 dead, roads flooded, 100 flights delayed


<p>Delhi-NCR experienced a sudden weather change on Friday morning, with heavy rain and strong winds commencing. Since morning, the capital and surrounding areas have witnessed disrupted daily life due to strong winds, lightning, and rain. Four people died in Chhattarpur after a tree fell on a house. Many areas experienced waterlogging, impacting traffic. The meteorological department has issued a red alert for Delhi and warned of winds reaching speeds of 70-80 km per hour in the next few hours.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">100 Flights Delayed</h2>



<p>Due to strong winds, a metal structure collapsed at Indira Gandhi International Airport (Terminal 3). Furthermore, over 40 flights were diverted, and more than 100 flights are delayed due to the inclement weather. According to the meteorological department, hail has also been reported in some areas, increasing the risk of injury to people and livestock in open spaces.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Winds to Reach 90 km per Hour</h2>



<p>Besides Delhi-NCR, alerts have also been issued for several districts in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. Moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in Yamunanagar, Karnal, Panipat, Mathura, Agra, Bharatpur, and surrounding areas. Winds in these areas could reach speeds of 40 to 90 km per hour.</p>

<p>While the rain has provided relief from the heat, it has also resulted in several adverse consequences. There is a risk of broken tree branches and damage to power and communication lines. Weak structures and huts may also be damaged. The meteorological department has advised citizens to stay indoors, keep windows and doors closed, and avoid travel.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Possibility of Thunderstorms, Lightning, and Rain in These States</h2>



<p>According to the meteorological department, strong thunderstorms, lightning, and heavy rain are likely in several parts of north-eastern and southern India in the next few hours. Alerts have been issued for northern Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, south-western Rajasthan, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, south Ganga coastal West Bengal, and northern coastal Andhra Pradesh.</p>

<p>Yogi Government&#8217;s Madarsa Action: The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has taken another major administrative step, cracking down on illegal madrasas and religious structures in districts bordering Nepal. On Thursday, the sixth day of this special campaign, the administration shut down 44 illegal madrasas and removed more than 36 encroachments.</p>



<p>Following instructions issued by the state government, joint teams of revenue and police administration are taking action against illegal occupations, unregistered madrasas, and religious structures built on government land in border areas. So far, a total of 82 illegal madrasas have been closed and more than 350 encroachments have been removed.</p>

<p><strong>Strict action in Shravasti:</strong> On Thursday, five illegal madrasas were sealed in Shravasti district. A total of 41 madrasas have been acted upon so far. Eight more encroachments were removed within 15 kilometres of the Nepal border. A mosque built on government land in Gram Bhartha, Roshangarh, Pargana and Tehsil Bhinga was also demolished. The administration clarified that no illegal religious construction of any kind will be tolerated on government land.</p>



<p><strong>Notices to eight madrasas in Balrampur:</strong> Eight madrasas have been issued notices in Balrampur district. Illegal occupation was removed from three mazars (shrines), and five were issued notices. A total of 16 encroachments were identified, of which action has been completed on three. An Eidgah (prayer ground) has been built at one location, and action is being prepared against it. During inspection, 20 madrasas were found substandard, not teaching the prescribed curriculum. All of these have been closed.</p>



<p><strong>135 illegal constructions demolished in Bahraich so far:</strong> Four encroachments each were removed in the Nanpara and Mihinpurwa areas of Bahraich district. A total of 135 illegal constructions have been demolished in this district so far. Five madrasas have already been sealed here. Three out of six people voluntarily removed encroachments, while action is ongoing against the rest.</p>

<p><strong>Campaign also in Siddharthnagar and Pilibhit:</strong> A total of 17 illegal encroachments have been acted upon in Siddharthnagar, including three mosques and 14 madrasas. Administrative action is also being taken continuously against illegal constructions in Pilibhit and Maharajganj districts. The government has made it clear that no illegal construction of any kind will be tolerated on government land.</p>



<p><strong>Yogi government&#8217;s clear message:</strong> This government campaign is not only against illegal madrasas but also against all types of illegal religious constructions and encroachments. Unregistered madrasas are being closed, and bulldozers are being used where government land has been occupied in the name of religious sites.</p>



<p>The state government also says that special vigilance is being exercised in border areas, considering their sensitivity. The government wants to ensure that no activity in these areas endangers national security or social harmony.</p>



<p><strong>Public reaction:</strong> Mixed reactions are being seen among the local population regarding this action. Some people are appreciating the government&#8217;s initiative, while others are linking it to religious sentiments. But the administration says that this is a completely legal action and no particular religion is being targeted. According to officials, this campaign will continue, and illegal madrasas, mazars, mosques, or other religious constructions will be investigated in all border districts across the state. Special survey and monitoring arrangements are being made for this.</p>

<p><strong>MP News:</strong> The government&#8217;s approach to recruitment in Madhya Pradesh is perplexing. Special recruitment drives for reserved posts have been launched repeatedly, but the deadlines have been extended numerous times. In 23 years, the deadline has been extended 20 times, yet the situation remains largely unchanged, with thousands of posts still vacant.</p>



<p>The issue was raised during the state assembly&#8217;s budget session. In response to a question from Congress MLA Jayawardan Singh, the state government admitted that out of 37,317 reserved posts across 75 departments, 21,936 posts for people with disabilities remain unfilled. This represents 60% of the total reserved posts. The School Education Department has the highest number of unfilled positions, with 5,711 vacancies.</p>



<p>MLA Singh stated that the Madhya Pradesh High Court, in January 2024, ordered the government to complete the recruitment process for all vacant posts for people with disabilities by 15 July 2024. However, this deadline was not met. Approximately 900,000 individuals with disabilities are registered on the Divyangjan Sparsh portal, yet applications have not been solicited.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Recruitment Drive Deadline Extensions</h2>



<p>The initial order for the recruitment drive was issued on 10 September 2002. Subsequent orders were issued on 11 July 2005, 31 July 2011, 23 February 2018, 15 January 2009, 7 August 2010, 18 July 2011, 15 June 2012, 10 July 2013, 14 July 2014, 15 July 2015, 21 July 2016, 10 July 2017, 18 July 2018, 9 March 2019, 4 July 2020, 17 September 2021, 21 July 2022, 15 September 2023, and 24 July 2024.</p>

<p><strong>Government teacher:</strong> A government teacher demanded ₹11 lakh and a luxury car as dowry from the girl&#8217;s father after their engagement. He broke off the engagement five days before the wedding when his demands were not met. When the girl&#8217;s father went to persuade him, he was turned away from the house. The girl filed an FIR  at the Gohalpur police station on Wednesday night. Gohalpur police have named Shailendra Jharia and nine other members of his family as accused.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Government teacher: Wedding scheduled for 6 May</h2>



<p>Police said that Shailendra Jharia, a resident of Krishna Colony Suhaghi, is a teacher at a government school. His marriage was fixed with a 22-year-old woman. The engagement took place on 27 April, and the wedding was scheduled for 6 May. During the engagement, the girl&#8217;s family gave the groom&#8217;s side ₹200,000 (INR 200,000) in cash, a ring worth ₹125,000, and clothes worth ₹60,000 as gifts. The bride&#8217;s family also purchased the wedding hall, catering, decorations, and gifts.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Government teacher: Demanded money over the phone</h2>



<p>According to the police, at 4 pm on 29 April, the girl&#8217;s father received a call from Shailendra&#8217;s mother, Saroj. She demanded a car and ₹11 lakh (INR 1,100,000) as dowry. The bride&#8217;s family was alarmed and went to Shailendra&#8217;s house. There, Shailendra&#8217;s mother Saroj, father Bhagwat, sister Shilpi, brother Pawan Raj, Aastha, Shubham, Chandrika, and Uma refused to proceed with the wedding without the car and money. They threatened to marry Shailendra elsewhere on 6 May. Despite the bride&#8217;s family&#8217;s attempts to reason with them, they refused to relent. Subsequently, an FIR was filed at Gohalpur police station.</p>

<p>Udaipur Police Crack Down on Illegal Prostitution Ring: Sukher police station in Udaipur arrested eight women from different states and a pimp in a crackdown on prostitution.</p>



<p>DSP Shyam Singh Ratnu and Sukher SHO Ravindra Charan reported receiving information about a pimp operating from a house, facilitating prostitution involving women from various states. A decoy operation led to the arrest of eight women engaged in prostitution and the pimp, Sandeep Puri, a resident of Sarannagar, Banar Road, Jodhpur.</p>



<p>The main perpetrator, Jetharam alias Jethapuri, has been named as an accused. He is alleged to have run the gang by providing vehicles and accommodation for the illegal activities. The search for Jetharam is ongoing.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Motorcycle Thief Apprehended, 10 Cases Solved</h2>



<p>Meanwhile, Savina police station solved 10 cases of theft and robbery. Six mobile phones and four motorcycles were recovered from the accused, Aftab Makrani, a resident of Risala Mohalla, Sarada. A knife was also seized. Makrani confessed to 10 incidents of theft and robbery. <p><strong>Suyash Sharma, Royal Challengers Bangalore, IPL 2025:</strong> Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have had a stellar performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 so far. The team is currently second in the points table with 14 points from 10 matches, almost securing their place in the playoffs. Meanwhile, the team&#8217;s leg-spinner, Suyash Sharma (सुयश शर्मा), has made a significant revelation about his fitness.</p>



<p>Suyash revealed that he had been battling a serious hernia problem for the past two years, playing through persistent pain. He thanked the RCB franchise and team management for their support in facilitating his treatment.</p>



<p>Suyash said, “I&#8217;ve been suffering from a hernia for two years. I had become accustomed to playing in pain. This problem existed even before I was part of RCB. But the team showed faith in me and sent me to London for surgery. They took care of my every need. Now I am completely fit, and I am extremely grateful to this franchise for that.”</p>



<p>RCB shared a video on their official X (formerly Twitter) account on Thursday, in which Suyash spoke in detail about his surgery and recovery.</p>



<p>He explained, “I had three hernias, and the surgery was quite extensive. The doctors had said that I should only play after at least three to four matches. I didn&#8217;t even expect to be able to play the first match. But the team physio, James Pippy, took excellent care of me. He and his family supported me immensely. It&#8217;s because of them that I recovered so quickly.”</p>

<p><strong>CG Accident:</strong> A promising student, Ashutosh Agrawal, tragically died in a horrific road accident in the Karli area of Dantewada district early Thursday morning. Ashutosh was preparing for the UPSC exam, and his untimely death has sent shockwaves of grief throughout Dantewada town. The accident occurred around 3:30 am on the Gidam police station road.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Injured Referred to Medical College</h2>



<p>According to reports, Ashutosh Agrawal was the eldest son of Prashant Agrawal, a prominent businessman in the town. Late at night, after finishing his studies, he went for a ride on an Activa scooter with Krishna Yadav, who works at his shop. During this time, on the Police Line Karli road, a high-speed Innova vehicle, in an attempt to avoid a buffalo, collided violently with their scooter and then fled the scene. A high-speed vehicle is described in this report.</p>



<p>Both Ashutosh Agrawal and Krishna Yadav were seriously injured in the accident. With the help of local people, they were brought to Dantewada District Hospital, where doctors declared that Ashutosh&#8217;s life could not be saved due to a ruptured liver. Krishna Yadav has been referred to the Medical College in Jagdalpur.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Ground Zero Stumbles at the Box Office</h2>



<p>Emraan Hashmi&#8217;s <em>Ground Zero</em>, a film based on a true story, sees him portraying BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey. While the film received critical acclaim and audience appreciation, it hasn&#8217;t performed well at the box office.</p>



<p>It collected ₹0.56 crore on its sixth day. To date, it has grossed ₹7.26 crore.</p>

<p>While <em>Kesari 2</em> is on track to set new box office records, <em>Ground Zero</em> tells a story that honours a true Indian hero. Both films have different narratives but share a patriotic theme. Both are now set to face tough competition from <em>Raid 2</em>, which was released today.</p>
