
<p>Kota city in the Hadoti region of Rajasthan experienced a sudden weather change on Sunday. The day began with sticky heat and heavy humidity, causing considerable discomfort. Fans and coolers proved ineffective against the intense heat. Around 1 pm, there was a light drizzle, which, instead of providing relief, increased the humidity.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Heavy Rainfall with Gusts of Wind</h2>



<p>However, around 4 pm, a significant weather change occurred. Heavy rain accompanied by strong gusts of wind and thunder provided much-needed relief from the heat. This downpour, lasting about half an hour, cooled and refreshed the atmosphere.</p>



<p>According to the meteorological department, Kota&#8217;s maximum temperature on Sunday was 34.5 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 27.2 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal. Morning humidity reached 94%. A total of 5.8 mm of rainfall was recorded between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm, while the total rainfall in the previous 24 hours was 0.8 mm. The average wind speed was 6 km per hour.</p>



<p>Other areas of Kota district also experienced mixed weather conditions. Ramganjmandi experienced a light shower for 15 minutes followed by sunshine, while Satlakhedi received good rainfall accompanied by loud thunder.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Forecast for the Coming Days</h2>



<p>The meteorological department predicts moderate to heavy rainfall with thunderstorms in parts of Udaipur and Jodhpur divisions in southern Rajasthan over the next 3-4 days. Light to moderate rainfall is expected in Kota, Ajmer, Jaipur, Bharatpur, and Bikaner divisions. The formation of a new monsoon system in the Bay of Bengal during the last week of August is expected to accelerate monsoon activity across Rajasthan.</p>


<p>Heavy Rain IMD Alert: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted moderate to heavy rainfall with thunderstorms in parts of Udaipur and Jodhpur divisions of southern Rajasthan over the next 3-4 days.</p>

<p>US President Donald Trump has once again taken credit for halting the India-Pakistan military conflict. He described himself as a very wise person, not a dictator. Trump said that through tariffs he stopped many wars, and before him, no one knew the true power of tariffs. According to him, this saved America trillions of dollars. He claimed that the conflict between India and Pakistan had reached the &#8216;next level&#8217; and could have turned into a nuclear war. During this period, seven fighter jets were shot down, and there were only a few hours to stop it. Trump asserted that he was the one who ended the war.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">It Wasn&#8217;t as Easy as I Thought</h2>



<p>Regarding the Russia-Ukraine war, US President Donald Trump said that America is no longer spending significant money on Ukraine. America is now dealing with NATO, not Ukraine. He stated, &#8220;We want to end the Russia-Ukraine war. We have also held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on this matter. Stopping the Russia-Ukraine war was the easiest for me, but now this task is becoming extremely complex.&#8221;</p>



<p>He mentioned his desire for nuclear disarmament and discussions held with Putin on this issue. Regarding Ukraine&#8217;s security guarantees, US President Donald Trump said, &#8220;I haven&#8217;t discussed its processes yet, but I think they will find a solution.&#8221; He added, &#8220;We give missiles to NATO, and they give them to Ukraine. We are not losing money on Ukraine now, but earning it.&#8221;</p>

<p>During the press conference, US President Donald Trump also reacted to the attacks on Iran. Trump said that a successful operation was carried out to bomb Iran&#8217;s nuclear sites. He stated that 52 tankers and several F-22 and B-2 bombers were used in this operation.</p>

<p>Relief is in sight for the people of Uttar Pradesh, who have been battling heat and humidity. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon has returned to the state with full force. Heavy rain is expected in over 30 districts of the state on 26 August. A yellow alert has been issued for these areas. A yellow alert indicates the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall.</p>

Special caution is advised for the districts of Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Lucknow, Barabanki, Amethi, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Hathras, Kasganj, Etah, Bijnor, Amroha, Sambhal, Budaun, and Shahjahanpur.</p>

<p>The yellow alert for heavy rainfall has been issued for Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Rae Bareli, Mathura, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi, and Lalitpur.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Weather Forecast for the Coming Days</h2>



<p>According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature will drop by 2-3 degrees Celsius over the next 2-3 days. The weather is expected to remain similar until 30 August. On 26 August, rain and thunderstorms are likely in most parts of western UP and several districts of eastern UP. However, the heavy rainfall is expected to reduce on 27 and 28 August.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Status of Weather Systems</h2>



<p>A low-pressure area persists over the Gangetic West Bengal, with its associated cyclonic circulation extending up to the mid-tropospheric levels. This system will move northwestwards across Jharkhand in the next 24 hours and gradually weaken. A cyclonic circulation over the northern part of Madhya Pradesh is also contributing to increased monsoon activity in the state.</p>

<p><strong>Jaipur</strong>: Residents of the state are set to receive a gift of two Vande Bharat trains, along with the inauguration of eight railway stations. The railway claims that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may virtually inaugurate these between 13 and 15 September. In fact, a Vande Bharat rake arrived in Bikaner on Sunday, while it will reach Jodhpur in four to five days.</p>



<p>The trial runs of both rakes will be conducted on local routes instead of Delhi Cantt. On both routes, the trains will not initially run at their full speed of 160 km/h; their maximum speed will be limited to 70-75 km/h. This might slightly dampen the passengers&#8217; excitement for a high-speed train.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Work in Progress on Fares and Timetable</h2>



<p>After finalising the proposed routes, deliberations are underway regarding the fare list and timetable. It is likely that the railway will release the fare and stop list this week.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Inauguration of These Stations as Well</h2>



<p>The renovation work on Jaisalmer, Nokha, Barmer, Someshwar, Khairthal, Narnaul, Neemkathana, and Rewari stations of the North Western Railway is complete. The inauguration of these stations is also expected along with the Vande Bharat trains.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Jodhpur-Delhi-Jodhpur Cantt Vande Bharat Train</h2>



<p>This train will operate daily except Tuesdays. Departing Jodhpur at 5:30 AM, it will reach Delhi Cantt at 1:30 PM. It will arrive at Jaipur Junction at 9:35 AM and halt for 5 minutes. From Delhi Cantt, the train will depart at 3:10 PM, reaching Jaipur at 7:10 PM and Jodhpur at 11:15 PM.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Jodhpur-Delhi Vande Bharat Train Stops</h2>



<p>During its journey, after departing from Jodhpur, this train will stop at Degana, Makrana, Phulera, Jaipur, Alwar, Rewari, and Gurugram stations before reaching Delhi Cantt station. The train will cover the 605 km distance from Jodhpur to Delhi Cantt in 8 hours and 5 minutes.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Bikaner-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Train</h2>



<p>This train will depart from Bikaner at 5:45 AM and reach Delhi Cantt at 11:50 AM, covering a distance of 448 km in 6 hours and 15 minutes. From Delhi Cantt, the train will depart at 4:45 PM and reach Bikaner at 11:00 PM. During its journey, after departing from Bikaner, this train will stop at Ratangarh, Churu, and Rewari stations. </p>

<p>Jaipur&#8217;s roads have become a network of potholes, and the responsible departments remain unresponsive. Millions of rupees were spent on a superficial patchwork, but the first rain washed it all away. As a result, citizens are forced to travel, risking both their vehicles and their lives. The situation from Gandhi Path to Galta Gate is such that it&#8217;s impossible to tell whether it&#8217;s water or a pothole on the road. Even after a reprimand from the High Court, no concrete plan has been formulated, nor has accountability been established.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Widespread Deterioration</h2>



<p>Roads are in a dilapidated condition from Gandhi Path West, along with Ramgarh Mod, Karbala, through Jaisinghpura Khore to Bajri Mandi Road, Maharana Pratap Marg, Vidhyut Nagar, and the main routes leading to the Watica Infotech City on Ajmer Road. Potholes and patchy repairs have made movement difficult. The worst affected is Gandhi Path West. For the past month, JDA engineers have seemingly used this road as a laboratory; they added soil, cement, and then laid asphalt. But as soon as it rained, the shoddy work was exposed, with potholes appearing everywhere, frequently trapping vehicles.</p>

<p>The JDA has failed to clear waterlogging outside the Chief Minister&#8217;s Jan Sunwai Kendra in Mansarovar. Potholes have appeared on the Delhi Highway near Galta Gate. Transport Nagar and Goner Road are also damaged. The 80-foot road near Mahesh Nagar crossing and the road from Gurjar Ki Thdi to the Sewage Farm Circle are unusable. The Greater Corporation has yet to repair the Nivaru Road. Roads leading to the industrial area are also in disrepair, despite being within the defect liability period.</p>

<p><strong>Today&#8217;s Weather News:</strong> The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a double alert for the next 24 hours, predicting heavy rainfall in Alwar, Banswara, Dungarpur, Jhunjhunu, Rajsamand, Barmer, Churu, and Pali, and extremely heavy rainfall in Jalore, Udaipur, and Sirohi. Therefore, rainfall is expected throughout the day in these 11 districts.</p>



<p>Meanwhile, the rainfall in Sawai Madhopur has subsided somewhat. Some areas experienced a dry Monday, providing partial relief to flood-affected regions. </p>



<p>However, dozens of villages in the sub-division still face waterlogging. Numerous roads remain closed. The extent of the rain-related devastation is now becoming apparent, with roads damaged and homes collapsed. Dozens of families have sought refuge with neighbours. </p>



<p>Flood-affected families are now looking to the government for help. The government machinery is still engaged in assessing the damage.</p>

Waterlogging caused economic losses and several homes were destroyed. Hundreds of quintals of fodder were also damaged. Affected people have informed government representatives about the losses, but no relief is yet in sight. Flood-affected people are looking towards government officials with hopeful eyes.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Bridge Damaged by Strong Currents</h2>



<p>Due to continuous rainfall in the Baler area, rivers and streams have overflowed. The continuous inflow of water has damaged a bridge over the Banas River. Khandar Tehsildar Pushkar Singh stated that work has begun to remove debris from the bridge connecting Khandar and Baler on the state highway using a JCB machine. After inspection by the Public Works Department, vehicular movement on the bridge will be resumed.</p>

Patna road accident: Speeding vehicle kills five, including four from same family


<p><strong>Road Accident in Patna</strong> A horrific road accident near Patna claimed the lives of four members of the same family, while one woman sustained critical injuries. According to locals, the victims were standing by the roadside when a speeding vehicle ran them over. Police arrived at the scene after receiving information about the incident and rushed the injured woman to the hospital for treatment.</p>

<p>The incident occurred on Monday night on the approach lane of the four-lane road in Jamunichak, Patna. The victims, women who had gone to relieve themselves, were standing on the roadside when a speeding Thar vehicle struck them, resulting in the death of four individuals. Enraged villagers blocked the road in protest following the incident. A heavy police presence has been deployed at the scene.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Three Children Among the Dead</h2>



<p>Reports suggest that two women and three children had left home to relieve themselves. When they did not return for a long time, their family members went searching for them. A village youth discovered the body of one child on the road, with another child&#8217;s body lying nearby. The bodies of the deceased were scattered on the road. Following the incident, locals blocked NH-30A, causing a traffic jam of approximately 3 kilometres on the Bakhtiarpur Mokama four-lane road.</p>

The Delhi Ministry of Food has issued notices to approximately 4300 people in the Khargaon district. These individuals, many of whom are millionaires, have 15 days to explain to the relevant SDM why they are receiving grains despite their financial status. Failure to provide a satisfactory response will result in the cancellation of their eligibility slips and removal from the beneficiary list. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Income Tax Department Report Reveals Scam, Food Ministry Issues Notices</h2>



<p>A report from the Income Tax Department to the Food Department revealed that individuals claiming to be poor and benefiting from government schemes are actually wealthy, with annual incomes exceeding ₹6 lakh. They fraudulently included themselves in the BPL cardholder category by misrepresenting their financial status. Following the identification of these tax payers, action has begun to remove them from the list, and notices have been served.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Beneficiaries Served with Notices</h2>



<p>DSO HS Muvel stated that notices have been issued to approximately 4300 beneficiaries in the district whose incomes exceed ₹6 lakh. They have been given 15 days to respond. Some beneficiaries, while not millionaires, have filed tax returns for home loans. These individuals can present their case before the SDM.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Ultimatum in the Notices</h2>



<p>Notices have been issued to individuals in the district who have filed income tax returns or have an annual income exceeding ₹6 lakh through the relevant SDM office. The notices state that they are receiving free food grains under PMGKAY despite their annual income exceeding ₹6 lakh (as per information from the Income Tax Department). Therefore, their eligibility is questionable. The notices demand an explanation within 15 days, failing which their eligibility slips will be cancelled. These notices target three categories of individuals: those holding senior positions in companies, those filing tax returns with an annual income exceeding ₹6 lakh, and those with bank transactions exceeding ₹25 lakh.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">e-KYC Issues Prevent Some Eligible Beneficiaries from Receiving Benefits</h2>



<p>Conversely, some eligible beneficiaries in the district are unable to receive food grains due to a lack of e-KYC. These individuals frequently raise complaints during public hearings. The inability to obtain fingerprints from the elderly and children is hindering their e-KYC process.</p>

UP International Trade Show: Unique showcase of schemes and achievements at India Expo Mart from 25 to 29 September


<p><strong>Lucknow:</strong> Preparations are underway for the third edition of the UP International Trade Show to be held at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida. This year&#8217;s show will not be limited to trade alone; various departments of the state government will also showcase their achievements, projects, and schemes.</p>



<p>Scheduled for 25-29 September, this grand event has allocated a total area of 37,085 square meters for various stalls, of which 28,649 square meters have already been booked. This clearly indicates that this year&#8217;s UP International Trade Show will truly set a new benchmark for participation, giving a new identity to the state&#8217;s economic and cultural strength.</p>



<p>Departments associated with industrial development, such as Invest UP, UPEIDA, GNIDA, YIDA, and Noida, will be major attractions at the show. The IT &amp; Electronics, Energy, and New &amp; Renewable Energy departments will also display their schemes.</p>
