
<p><strong>SSC Stenographer Answer Key 2025:</strong> New information has been released for candidates who appeared in the SSC Stenographer exam. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the provisional answer key for the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ examination, 2025. This examination was conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT) on 6, 7, 8 and 11 August 2025 at various centres across the country. Candidates can now view the answer key on the official website. Candidates can also raise objections online based on their response sheet and the answer key. The window for submitting objections will be open from 6 PM on 22 August to 6 PM on 25 August. A fee of ₹50 per question has been set for raising objections (previously it was ₹100).</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">SSC Stenographer: Estimating the Potential Score</h2>



<p>Before the results are released, candidates can calculate their estimated marks based on the answer key. Add marks for correct answers. Marks will be deducted for incorrect answers according to the negative marking scheme. No marks will be added or deducted for unattempted questions. The response sheet will contain the candidate&#8217;s name and roll number, the name of the exam and post, the date and time of the exam, details of the exam centre, and all the questions asked along with the answers selected by the candidate.</p>

<p>Jaipur&#8217;s roads have become a network of potholes, and the responsible departments remain unresponsive. Millions of rupees were spent on a superficial patchwork, but the first rain washed it all away. As a result, citizens are forced to travel, risking both their vehicles and their lives. The situation from Gandhi Path to Galta Gate is such that it&#8217;s impossible to tell whether it&#8217;s water or a pothole on the road. Even after a reprimand from the High Court, no concrete plan has been formulated, nor has accountability been established.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Widespread Deterioration</h2>



<p>Roads are in a dilapidated condition from Gandhi Path West, along with Ramgarh Mod, Karbala, through Jaisinghpura Khore to Bajri Mandi Road, Maharana Pratap Marg, Vidhyut Nagar, and the main routes leading to the Watica Infotech City on Ajmer Road. Potholes and patchy repairs have made movement difficult. The worst affected is Gandhi Path West. For the past month, JDA engineers have seemingly used this road as a laboratory; they added soil, cement, and then laid asphalt. But as soon as it rained, the shoddy work was exposed, with potholes appearing everywhere, frequently trapping vehicles.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Other Roads in Poor Condition</h2>



<p>The JDA has failed to clear waterlogging outside the Chief Minister&#8217;s Jan Sunwai Kendra in Mansarovar. Potholes have appeared on the Delhi Highway near Galta Gate. Transport Nagar and Goner Road are also damaged. The 80-foot road near Mahesh Nagar crossing and the road from Gurjar Ki Thdi to the Sewage Farm Circle are unusable. The Greater Corporation has yet to repair the Nivaru Road. Roads leading to the industrial area are also in disrepair, despite being within the defect liability period.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Awaiting Road Repairs</h2>



<p>In Vidhyadhar Nagar, near Bania College, the JDA is preparing to lay a new road in the rain. The old road has been dug up.<br>Near the Durgapura bridge, the Greater Corporation dug up a decades-old cement road during the rains. Demolishing roads during the monsoon has angered local residents.</p>

<p>During the second phase of the monsoon season in Rajasthan, heavy rainfall over nearly two months has resulted in approximately 91 deaths and over 51 injuries due to flooding and lightning strikes. Around 38 houses have collapsed due to waterlogging. The disaster has impacted not only people but also farmers&#8217; livestock, with approximately 47 animal deaths reported. Rainfall in the state has exceeded the average by over 48% this monsoon season.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Monsoon&#8217;s Second Phase</h2>



<p>The second phase of the monsoon continued its heavy rainfall on Sunday. In the past 24 hours, Dausa recorded the highest rainfall at 285 millimetres (11.4 inches), followed by Nagaur with 173 mm (7 inches) and Deh with 137 mm (5 inches). Rainfall was also reported in Jaipur, Bharatpur division, Shekhawati region, Bikaner and Ajmer divisions, and parts of Sikar.</p>



<p>Jaipur recorded 92 millimetres of rainfall. According to the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, heavy rainfall is expected in 22 districts, including those in Udaipur and Jodhpur divisions, and southern parts of the state on Monday. The monsoon is also expected to remain active for the next five days.</p>



<p>In Kota, Bundi, Baran, and Jhalawar, the rain subsided on Sunday, bringing some relief to the residents. However, due to significant waterlogging, normal life has not yet resumed. Rescue teams are working to evacuate stranded people.</p>


<p>Heavy Rain Alert: Rajasthan has received over 48% more rainfall than the average so far this monsoon season. In the past 24 hours, Dausa received the highest rainfall, recording 285 millimetres (11.4 inches).</p>

<p>The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) implemented a fare revision on Monday, 25 August 2025. This is the first fare increase in eight years, with the last revision occurring in 2017. According to the DMRC, the increase is minimal, ranging from ₹1 to ₹4 on most lines, with a maximum increase of ₹5 on the Airport Express Line.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Maximum Fare of ₹64 for Longest Distance</h2>



<p>Under the new fare structure, the minimum fare for 0-2 kilometres is now ₹11, while the maximum fare for distances exceeding 32 kilometres is ₹64. Previously, the minimum fare was ₹10. This revision applies to Delhi-NCR&#8217;s 390-kilometre-long metro network and over 285 stations.</p>

<p>Following the fare hike announcement, many commuters and social media users expressed their displeasure. Users on the social media platform ‘X’ voiced concerns about the rising cost of living and demanded transparency from the DMRC regarding the utilisation of this increased revenue.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">DMRC&#8217;s Response</h2>



<p>DMRC officials stated that the fare revision was necessary for operational stability, maintaining high service standards, and future infrastructure upgrades. This move is intended to support the maintenance and expansion of Delhi Metro&#8217;s vast network, but passenger discontent makes it a controversial decision.</p>

<p>A horrifying incident has come to light from Hyderabad. A deranged husband brutally murdered his five-month pregnant wife. He was apprehended while disposing of her dismembered body.</p>



<p>It is reported that before being caught by the police, he had already thrown the head, hands, and legs into a river. Police informed that the woman&#8217;s torso was still in her house.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Mahendra and Swati had a love marriage</h2>



<p>The deceased has been identified as 21-year-old Swati , a resident of Kamareddyguda in Vikarabad district. She was five months pregnant. The murder took place in Balaji Hills, Medipally, Hyderabad.</p>



<p>The accused has been identified as Mahendra. Swati and Mahendra fell in love and got married. Afterward, they started living in Balaji Hills. Mahendra worked as a driver for a ride-hailing company.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Accused called his sister after the murder</h2>



<p>Police said that around 4:30 pm on Saturday, Mahendra murdered Swati. He then dismembered her body and disposed of some parts.</p>



<p>Later, he called his sister and informed her that his wife was missing. The sister became suspicious and informed a relative, who took her to the police station.</p>



<p>Police stated that at the station, Mahendra initially tried to claim his wife was missing, but during interrogation, he confessed to murdering his wife.</p>

<p>The 641st Ramdevra Mela at the famous pilgrimage site of Ramdevra in Jaisalmer district commenced formally with the Mangla Aarti on Bhaadva Sudi Bij. As the main temple doors opened in the morning, the inner temple complex resonated with chants of &#8220;Baba Ramdev ki Jai&#8221;.</p>

<p>Devotees offered prayers and sought blessings at the Samadhi. Additional District Collector Parsaram Saini extended his best wishes to the devotees. <p><strong>Voter Adhikar Yatra:</strong> Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is conducting a Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar. During a visit to Purnia, a security lapse occurred while Rahul Gandhi was firing a bullet. A man forcefully approached him and kissed him on the cheek. This incident startled the security personnel present. However, an SPG officer intervened, pulling the man away from Rahul Gandhi and slapping him.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Addressing a Press Conference in Araria</h2>



<p>Congress MP Rahul Gandhi also addressed a press conference in Araria. During this, he strongly criticised the Election Commission and the BJP. He asserted that he would not allow vote theft in Bihar under any circumstances and accused the EC of being a partner to the BJP.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">‘EC and BJP are colluding to steal votes’</h2>



<p>Rahul Gandhi questioned why the BJP has no complaints about the Special Summary Revision (SIR) process, asking if their voters&#8217; names were not deleted. He stated that he had met thousands of people whose names had been removed from the voter list during his yatra – mostly poor, Dalits, backward castes, minorities, farmers, and labourers. He claimed that the EC and BJP are colluding to erase opposition votes.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">EC&#8217;s lack of response</h2>



<p>He stated that the Election Commission&#8217;s position is clear to everyone. He presented data related to Mahadevapura in Karnataka and questioned the EC about the origin of 100,000 fake voters. The EC has yet to respond. He mentioned that the EC demanded an affidavit from him mid-press conference.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">‘Election Commission is not neutral’</h2>



<p>Rahul Gandhi said that a few days later, BJP&#8217;s Anurag Thakur held a press conference, but the Election Commission did not demand an affidavit from him. He highlighted that the EC&#8217;s failure to seek an affidavit from Anurag Thakur, despite raising similar concerns about fake voters, demonstrates the EC&#8217;s lack of neutrality.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">SIR is a method of vote theft</h2>



<p>In the press conference, Rahul Gandhi stated that the Special Summary Revision (SIR) is a method of institutional vote theft. He pointed out that 6.5 million names were deleted in Bihar, yet the BJP hasn&#8217;t lodged a single complaint. He attributed this to a partnership between the Election Commission, Election Commissioners, and the BJP.</p>

<p><strong>Jodhpur News</strong>: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will be visiting Jodhpur on Monday. He will arrive at Jodhpur Airport at 11:35 AM. From there, he will proceed to Hanvant Adarsh Vidya Mandir, Lalsagar at 11:55 AM. There, he will inaugurate the Adarsh Defence and Sports Academy at the Vidya Bharati School, R.K. Damani National Revival and Education Centre. </p>



<p>The event will be presided over by Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. The Defence Minister will remain there until 1:30 PM. After that, he will arrive at Jodhpur Airport at 1:50 PM and depart for Delhi at 1:55 PM.</p>



<p>The grand inauguration of the Adarsh Defence and Sports Academy at the Hanvant Adarsh Vidya Mandir, Lalsagar campus will take place on Monday. The Academy, built under this ambitious Lalsagar project with an estimated cost of approximately ₹110 crore, and costing ₹30 crore itself, will be inaugurated by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat will preside over the function, while industrialist and philanthropist R.K. Damani will be the guest of honour.</p>



<p>Organised under the guidance of Yatindra Sharma, All India Co-organisation Minister of Vidya Bharati, the ceremony will be attended by Members of Parliament, MLAs, military officers, and dignitaries. Dr. Nirmal Gehlot, the project committee chairman, stated that this centre will be an excellent model for defence, sports, Acharya training, administrative services, skill development, and research-based education. In the first phase, a hostel with a capacity of 400 students has been completed, with 200 students to be trained in the defence sector and 200 in sports.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Honouring the Philanthropists</h2>



<p>Philanthropists who contributed financially to the project will be honoured with certificates of appreciation. These include R.K. Damani, Dr. Nirmal Gehlot, Pradeep Rathore, Sushil Jalani, Suresh Gandhi, Shyam Kumbhat, U.P.L. Company, Concor Company, and many other industrialists and philanthropists.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Education, Values, Discipline and National Service</h2>



<p>Prof. Narpat Singh Shekhawat, Vidya Bharati Jodhpur Provincial President, stated that this centre will be developed as an ideal model based on the values of education, discipline, and national service. Committee members said that this project will provide the nation with excellent professionals in military services, sports, and administration in the coming years, and that this centre will set a new standard in India&#8217;s education system.</p>

According to the latest forecast by the Meteorological Department, rain is likely in 17 districts of Rajasthan within 90 minutes. Ukraine launches 160 drones on Russia in 24 hours, areas engulfed in smoke


<p>Ukraine is currently unwilling to negotiate with Russia, as evidenced by the events of the past 24 hours. Ukraine launched four guided air bombs and 160 drones, all of which were reportedly destroyed by the Russian military.</p>



<p>The Russian Ministry of Defence stated that its air defence systems intercepted 33 Ukrainian drones in the country&#8217;s western border regions. It was reported that air defence systems on duty shot down 13 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles between 9:30 AM and 12:00 PM Moscow time. Twelve of these were in the Bryansk region and one in the Kaluga region.</p>

<p>The ministry further reported that 20 more drones were destroyed within the following two hours; eight in Bryansk, seven in Smolensk, three in Kursk, and two in Kaluga.</p>



<p>Earlier in August, Russia accused Ukraine of escalating attacks before a potential meeting between US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Alaska.</p>



<p>In a social media post, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that 22 people were killed and 105 injured in Ukrainian shelling and drone attacks over the past week. The ministry also shared a map highlighting the affected areas in Russian territory.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he discussed security guarantees for Ukraine during a meeting with NATO Secretary-General in Kyiv.</p>

Vande Bharat sleeper train set to run from Delhi to Patna, update on Patna Metro shared


<p>The Modi government is reportedly planning to unveil several initiatives in Bihar ahead of the state assembly elections. One such initiative involves the launch of India&#8217;s first semi-high-speed Vande Bharat sleeper train, connecting Delhi and Patna. Railway sources indicate that the train is slated for launch in September, with Prime Minister Modi potentially flagging it off. This new category of train boasts special amenities, premium catering, and a design capable of reaching speeds up to 160 kilometres per hour.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">10-15% Higher Fares Expected</h2>



<p>The fare for the Vande Bharat sleeper train is expected to be 10-15% higher than that of the Rajdhani Express, the railway&#8217;s premium train service. A dynamic fare system will be implemented. According to a senior Railway Board official, the Vande Bharat train&#8217;s trial run has been completed, and the train arrived at the Shakurbasti shed (train set depot) in Delhi last week. This week, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will brief the media on the train&#8217;s features. Sources indicate that while final decisions regarding fares and the route are pending, the train&#8217;s launch between Delhi and Patna is likely, considering the upcoming Bihar assembly elections.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">PM to Inaugurate Patna Metro</h2>



<p>Prime Minister Modi&#8217;s visit is tentatively scheduled for the third or fourth week of September. Sources suggest that, in addition to inaugurating the primary corridor of the Patna Metro, he may also flag off the first semi-high-speed Vande Bharat sleeper train. Preparations for the Patna Metro inauguration are underway, although the Patna Metro Rail Corporation is yet to receive formal confirmation from the Prime Minister&#8217;s Office. Meanwhile, power supply to the metro depot will commence within three days, followed by phased trials of the power supply between the New Patliputra Bus Terminal station and Malahi Pakri on the primary corridor.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">12,000 Special Trains for Diwali and Chhath</h2>



<p>Earlier, the Railway Minister announced the operation of 12,000 special trains in Bihar during Diwali and Chhath. Minister Vaishnaw explained that the railways face a massive influx of passengers to and from Bihar during these festivals. To address this, special trains will be deployed to ensure smooth travel for those returning to Bihar from Delhi and other cities. These trains may operate for two weeks, facilitating the homecoming of migrants. Concurrently, the railways have launched a pilot scheme for round-trip packages, offering a discount of up to 20% on return tickets when purchased together. This facility will be available from 13 October to 1 December 2025, applicable to all trains and classes.</p>

Two Indians Killed in US Highway Bus Crash


<p>A tour bus crash in New York, USA, has resulted in the death of five people, including two of Indian origin. All victims were returning from a trip to Niagara Falls when the accident occurred.</p>



<p>Among the deceased are 65-year-old Shankar Kumar Jha from Madhubani district, Bihar, and 60-year-old Pinki Changrani, an Indian-origin resident of East Brunswick, New Jersey.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Bus Carrying 54 Passengers</h2>



<p>The bus, carrying 54 passengers, was returning to New York City on Friday afternoon after a sightseeing trip to the famous falls located between the US and Canada. The driver lost control, causing the bus to veer off the highway and plunge into a ditch.</p>



<p>The accident site was approximately 70 km from Niagara Falls and about 600 km from New York City. Three other fatalities were of Chinese origin. The bus carried several international tourists from countries including India, China, the Philippines, and the USA.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Information on Injured Passengers Scarce</h2>



<p>Details regarding the injured have not been officially released, and the exact number of other Indian passengers on board remains unknown. Some passengers remained hospitalised in serious or stable condition on Saturday, while others were discharged after treatment.</p>



<p>Following the accident, some injured passengers were transported to regional hospitals by a fleet of helicopter ambulances. Police stated that an investigation is underway with the involvement of the National Transportation Safety Board.</p>

<p>Police reported that the driver showed no signs of impairment and that there was no indication of mechanical failure in the tour bus. Investigators are now examining whether the driver was distracted and lost control of the vehicle.</p>



<p>It is understood that the bus was equipped with an event data recorder, similar to a black box in aircraft, which may contain clues about the cause of the accident.</p>
