
<p><strong>CUET UG 2025 Exam Postponed:</strong> The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the CUET UG 2025 exam, originally scheduled for 8 May. The postponement, for a week, is due to the NTA&#8217;s failure to release admit cards and city slips in a timely manner. New exam dates will be announced soon. A meeting between the NTA and UGC is also scheduled for today.</p>

<p>Reports suggest the exam has been postponed until next week because the NTA failed to release city slips and admit cards. Postponing the exam to next week will give the NTA sufficient time to issue these.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">New Dates to be Released Soon</h2>



<p>The postponement of the CUET exam has caused considerable distress to lakhs of students and their parents. However, the NTA will soon announce the new dates on its official website. Approximately 13.5 lakh students have registered for the CUET UG exam this year, exceeding last year&#8217;s numbers. This record number of registrations may complicate the admission process.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Exam to be Held in CBT Mode</h2>



<p>This year&#8217;s CUET UG exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. All 37 subjects will be examined online, with students given 60 minutes per subject. Each subject will consist of 50 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The exam will be held in two to three shifts, with a different schedule for each day, which will be released in detail.</p>

<p><strong>Operation Sindoor:</strong> Late on Tuesday, at approximately 1:30 AM, India launched a large-scale, precise counter-terrorism operation codenamed ‘Operation Sindoor’. This was a joint operation involving the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy, targeting a total of nine terrorist bases located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The air strike destroyed key camps belonging to organisations such as Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">90 Terrorists Killed</h2>



<p>With the assistance of RAW, the Indian forces identified the targets; four were located in Pakistan and five in PoK. According to Indian intelligence sources, 80 to 90 terrorists were killed in these strikes, with the highest number of casualties, 25-30, in the Bahawalpur and Muridke camps.</p>

<p>The presence of a large number of terrorists in these camps had already been confirmed. Military sources say that these attacks completely destroyed seven Jaish and Lashkar camps and two Hizbul bases.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Pakistan&#8217;s Statement</h2>



<p>The Pakistani army confirmed India&#8217;s action, stating that the Indian forces launched a total of 24 missile strikes at six different locations, resulting in eight deaths and 33 injuries. However, India has not responded to these claims.</p>



<p>This operation is in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April, which claimed the lives of 26 innocent people. India has sent a clear message that its policy towards terrorism is now based entirely on “zero tolerance”.</p>

The operation, codenamed ‘Operation Sindoor’, commenced around 2 am, targeting terrorist bases in Pakistan and PoK. Following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam&#8217;s Beasaran on 22 April, Prime Minister Narendra Modi vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice, stating that they would be pursued &#8220;to the ends of the earth.&#8221;</p>

<p>The Ministry of Defence stated that the targets were bases from where terrorist attacks were planned and directed. Indian forces targeted terrorist bases in both Pakistan and PoK. The statement added that Indian missiles targeted terrorist bases in Kotli, Bahawalpur, Muridke, and Muzaffarabad, known to house operatives from Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Lashkar Base Targeted</h2>



<p>Reporting from Muzaffarabad in PoK, Reuters reported hearing multiple explosions. Citing a Pakistani military spokesperson, broadcaster ARY News reported that India launched missile strikes at three locations within Pakistan, and that Pakistan would retaliate. The New York Times reported that Muzaffarabad residents also heard jets overhead. They stated that a location in a rural area near Muzaffarabad, once used by Lashkar-e-Taiba, was targeted in the strikes.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Jaish-Linked Madrasa Also Targeted</h2>



<p>The Pakistani military spokesperson indicated that two other locations were also struck: Bahawalpur in Punjab province, home to a religious madrasa linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Kotli in PoK.</p>

<p>Operation Sindoor, carried out by the Indian Army, is now considered a historic and decisive step. <p><strong>Operation Sindoor:</strong> The Indian armed forces&#8217; &#8216;Operation Sindoor&#8217; targeting terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) has caused a global stir. This action was taken in response to the 22 April terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which killed 28 tourists. India targeted nine terrorist bases, including those of groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed. The operation has drawn reactions from world leaders and international organisations.</p>

<p>US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in his reaction to ‘Operation Sindoor’, said, “I am monitoring the situation between India and Pakistan closely. I echo the President’s (Trump) comments earlier today that this hopefully ends quickly and will continue to engage both Indian and Pakistani leadership towards a peaceful resolution.” He appealed to India and Pakistan to de-escalate tensions and maintain peace through dialogue. Rubio spoke with India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and received information about the operation, in which India targeted terrorist bases. He reiterated the commitment to cooperation with India against terrorism but urged both countries to exercise restraint.</p>

<p>UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric, quoting the Secretary-General, stated, “The Secretary-General is very concerned about India’s military actions, particularly those across the Line of Control and the international border. <p>Sharif termed India’s action a “war crime” and a “cowardly attack”. He claimed that several civilian locations, including a mosque, were targeted in the attacks, resulting in eight deaths and dozens of injuries. Sharif stated, “Pakistan has every right to respond, and that response has already begun.”</p>

<p><strong>CG Board Result 2025:</strong> The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) will declare the class 10th and 12th examination results on 7 May 2025. <p>Approximately 5.71 lakh students appeared for the board examinations this year. The examinations were held in March, and the process of checking answer sheets began in the same month. 36 evaluation centres were set up across the state, and the evaluation of all answer sheets was completed by 17 April. Last year, 75.61% of students passed class 10, with Simran Sabba from Jashpur topping with 99.50%. In the class 12 results, 80.74% of students passed, with Mahak Agrawal from Mahasamund topping with 97.40%.</p>

<p>A major political upheaval has unfolded in Rajasthan&#8217;s political landscape. Kanwarlal Meena, BJP MLA from Anta, has received a severe setback from the Supreme Court. A bench headed by Justice Vikram Nath dismissed Meena&#8217;s petition and ordered him to surrender within two weeks. Furthermore, the court did not stay his sentence, leading to the automatic termination of his MLA status.</p>



<p>Following the Supreme Court&#8217;s order, Kanwarlal Meea must now go to jail within 14 days. Under the Constitution and the Representation of the People Act, his MLA-ship will be automatically terminated. Meanwhile, all eyes are on the Speaker of the Assembly&#8217;s actions.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Demand for Cancellation of Membership</h2>



<p>Prior to the Supreme Court&#8217;s decision, the Congress launched a major political offensive. A delegation led by the state Congress president Govind Singh Dotasra and Leader of the Opposition Tikaram Julie submitted a memorandum to the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Secretariat. They demanded the immediate cancellation of the MLA&#8217;s membership following his three-year sentence.</p>



<p>Dotasra alleged that the Assembly Speaker should have taken suo moto cognisance and cancelled the MLA&#8217;s membership, but he neither took action nor heeded the opposition&#8217;s concerns. He stated that according to the law, an MLA&#8217;s membership is automatically terminated upon receiving a sentence of two years or more.</p>



<p>This case dates back to 2005, when MLA Kanwarlal Meena had a heated argument with the then SDM Ramniwas Mehta. It is alleged that during this altercation, Meena pulled out his revolver, pointed it at the SDM&#8217;s temple, and threatened to kill him. Additionally, the videographer&#8217;s recording of the incident was allegedly seized and destroyed.</p>



<p>However, in 2018, the ACJM court, Manoharthana, acquitted him due to lack of evidence. But the case reached the ADJ court, where he was sentenced to three years in 2023. This decision was challenged in the High Court, but the Rajasthan High Court upheld the sentence and ordered the MLA to surrender.</p>


<p>A major political upheaval has unfolded in Rajasthan. BJP MLA Kanwarlal Meena has received a significant setback from the Supreme Court.</p>

<p><strong>Operation Sindoor:</strong> In response to a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April 2025, India successfully destroyed nine terrorist camps spread across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) under ‘Operation Sindoor’. Details of this historic military operation were revealed in a joint press briefing by the Army, Air Force, and Ministry of External Affairs. The press briefing included Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Lieutenant Colonel Sophia Kureshi of the Indian Army, and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh of the Air Force. They shared details of the military and diplomatic aspects of Operation Sindoor.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Commitment to Justice for Victims of the Terrorist Attack</h2>



<p>Lieutenant Colonel Sophia Kureshi explained that the aim of ‘Operation Sindoor’ was to deliver justice to the victims of the Pahalgam terrorist attack. A total of 26 unarmed tourists, including 25 Indian and 1 Nepali citizen, were brutally murdered in this attack. She stated that Pakistan has fostered an organised structure of terrorism over the past three decades, extending into PoK. These structures were targeted, resulting in the destruction of nine terrorist camps.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Terrorist Training Camps Destroyed</h2>



<p>She revealed that the first target in PoJK was the Sawai Nala camp in Muzaffarabad, 30 km from the Line of Control, which served as a Lashkar-e-Taiba training camp. The terrorists involved in the Sonmarg (20 October 2024), Gulmarg (24 October 2024), and Pahalgam (22 April 2025) attacks had received training here.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">25-Minute Operation, No Civilian Casualties</h2>



<p>Wing Commander Vyomika Singh stated that the attack began at 1:05 am and lasted until 1:30 am. During this time, the Air Force carried out highly precise strikes to avoid damage to civilian infrastructure and prevent civilian casualties. She said that the locations were selected based on high-level intelligence. The operation involved coordinated roles from the Army, Air Force, and intelligence agencies.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Attack Not Just on Tourists, but on Entire India: Foreign Secretary</h2>



<p>Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri began the press briefing with a video clip showing glimpses of the Parliament attack (2001), Mumbai attack (2008), Uri, Pulwama, and now the Pahalgam attack. He explained that on 22 April, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Pakistan-linked terrorists attacked tourists in Pahalgam, shooting them at close range in front of their families. The attack was not just on innocent tourists but on India’s national unity, social harmony, and tourism.</p>

<p>Misri stated that the terrorist organisation ‘Resistance Front’, a group linked to Lashkar, claimed responsibility for the attack. Intelligence investigations have clearly indicated Pakistan’s role in this attack. He further stated that our intelligence agencies have received indications of potential future attacks on India. Therefore, we exercised our right to cross-border retaliation, and this action was calibrated, responsible, and proportionate.</p>

Bijapur Naxal Encounter: Over 20 Naxals Killed in Chhattisgarh


<p>While India launched a major operation, codenamed ‘Operation Sindhur’, against Pakistan at 1:30 AM on Wednesday, resulting in the targeting of 9 terrorist bases in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), security forces in Chhattisgarh&#8217;s forest region have also conducted a significant operation. Security personnel engaged in intense firing, reportedly eliminating over 20 Naxals. No official confirmation has been released regarding this operation yet.</p>



<p>It is reported that two days prior, during an encounter on the Karegutta hills, security forces killed a female Naxal and recovered a .303 rifle from her body. The SP confirmed in recent days that during a 12-day operation, 4 Naxals were killed, several weapons seized, and hundreds of Naxal bunkers destroyed. Currently, security forces have reportedly surrounded key Naxal leaders.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Bijapur Naxal Encounter: Over 200 IEDs Recovered</h2>



<p>Reports indicate that over 200 IEDs have been recovered from the area. Security personnel are fully deployed at an altitude of approximately 5000 feet near Karegutta hill. It is believed that any attempt by Naxals to enter Chhattisgarh from the Telangana border will result in direct confrontation with security forces.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Claims of Killing Top Naxal Leaders</h2>



<p>Police claim that several senior Maoist leaders have either been killed or seriously injured during the operation. In addition to the encounter, hundreds of Naxal hideouts and bunkers have been destroyed.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Joint Operation Ongoing Since 21 April</h2>



<p>IG Sundarraj stated that this joint operation involving CRPF, Cobra Battalion, DRG (District Reserve Guard), and STF (Special Task Force) teams has been underway since 21 April. Continuous search operations are being conducted in forests where prior intelligence indicated Naxal activity.</p>



<p>During the encounter, heavy firing took place on both sides. After the Naxals retreated, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation, during which the body of the female Naxal was recovered. Her identity has not yet been publicly released, but security agencies are investigating her rank and any cases registered against her.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Over 100 Hardcore Naxals Killed</h2>



<p>Bastar IG Sundarraj P stated that a total of 129 hardcore Naxals have been killed so far in 2025. The bodies of these Maoists have been recovered, along with several modern weapons.</p>

<p>कोटा. विश्व एथलेटिक्स दिवस कोटा सहित पूरे देश और दुनिया में उत्साह से बुधवार को मनाया जाएगा। वर्ष 2025 की थीम ’’वर्ल्ड माइल चैलेंज’’ रखी गई है, जो एथलीटों को नई सीमाएं पार करने और बेहतर फिटनेस के लिए प्रेरित करती है। कोटा जो शिक्षा के साथ-साथ अब खेल प्रतिभाओं की कर्मभूमि भी बनता जा रहा है। एथलेटिक्स दिवस खेलों के जरिए अनुशासन, एकता, शांति और फेयर प्ले की भावना को बढ़ावा देता है। एथलेटिक्स केवल एक प्रतिस्पर्धा नहीं, बल्कि साहस, धैर्य और संघर्ष में अडिग रहने की भावना का प्रतीक है। कोटा के उभरते खिलाड़ी इस दिन को आत्म-विश्लेषण और आगे की प्रेरणा के रूप में देखते हैं। साथ ही साथ यह दिन उन सभी खिलाड़ियों को सम्मान देने का भी अवसर है, जो सीमित संसाधनों के बावजूद कड़ी मेहनत कर रहे हैं। विश्व एथलेटिक्स दिवस हमें याद दिलाता है कि चाहे हालात जैसे भी हों, फिनिश लाइन तक पहुंचना ही असली जीत है।</p>

<p>CG News: कोंडागांव जिले के कोंडागाँव विकासखंड अंतर्गत मालगांव में मंगलवार को पारंपरिक देव मड़ई का आयोजन किया गया। जिसमें आसपास के 17 गांव के देवी देवता शामिल हुए जिनका मेले में आने वाले हर कोई आशीर्वाद लेने के लिए उमड़ पड़ा। </p>

<p>Janaki Navami 2025: धर्मशास्त्रों के मुताबिक इस दिन भगवान राम व मां जानकी का व्रत-पूजन करने पर पृथ्वी दान व समस्त तीर्थों के भ्रमण का फल प्राप्त हो जाता है। इसे जानकी जयंती और सीता नवमी दोनों नाम से ही जाना जाता है।</p>


राजधानी जयपुर में मांगलिक और शुभ कार्यों के लिए स्वयं सिद्ध अबूझ मुहूर्त जानकी नवमी का पर्व आज विभिन्न योगों में मनाया जा रहा है। राजधानी जयपुर में चांदपोल स्थित रामचन्द्र मंदिर में सालभर में एक बार होने वाले सीताजी के चरणों के विशेष दर्शन का भक्तों को मौका मिलेगा। 

महंत नरेद्र तिवाड़ी ने बताया कि 101 किलो दूध से अभिषेक, 21 तोपों के सलामी के बीच संध्या आरती होगी। विशेष फूलों के बंगले में ठकुरानी विराजेंगी। इससे पहले सुबह 11 बजे पंचामृत अभिषेक के बाद रजवाड़े के दौर के आभूषण और राजसी जामा आदि से माता जानकी का शृंगार किया गया। 

रामचंद्र मन्दिर में दोपहर दो बजे जन्म आरती के बाद पंजीरी व पंचामृत का वितरण होगा। शाम सात बजे संध्या आरती होगी। रामदरबार को आम, तरबूज, खरबूजा, फालसा, अनार व बील आदि फलों के साथ ही चौगुनी के लड्डुओं का भोग लगाया जाएगा।

मंदिर श्री सीताराम जी छोटी चौपड़ में माता सीता जन्मोत्सव महंत नंदकिशोर महाराज के सानिध्य में धूमधाम से मनाया जा रहा है। यहां भी 299 वर्ष पुरानी परंपरा के अनुसार पूरे साल में जानकी नवमी के दिन ही माता जानकी जी के श्रीचरणों के दर्शन श्रद्धालु जनों को कराए जाते हैं। 

मंदिर प्रवक्ता विमल शर्मा ने बताया कि 21 हवाई गर्जनाओं के बीच दोपहर 1:30 बजे माता जानकी की जन्म आरती की गई। नवीन पोशाक धारण कराकर नख से शिख तक शृंगार किया जाएगा। इसके अलावा लाडली जी मंदिर में महंत संजय गोस्वामी व आनंदकृष्ण बिहारी मंदिर में पुजारी मातृप्रसाद शर्मा के सान्निध्य में कार्यक्रम हो रहा है।

<p>कोटा. पश्चिमी विक्षोभ के एक परिसंचरण तंत्र के प्रभाव से हाड़ौती अंचल में सोमवार सुबह आए तेज अंधड़ और जोरदार बारिश ने तबाही मचाई। इससे जनजीवन अस्त-व्यस्त हो गया। टिन टप्पर उड़ गए। बड़े पेड़, होर्डिंग व खंभे सड़कों पर गिर गए। शहर के कई इलाकों में विद्युत आपूर्ति ठप हो गई। टेंट-शामियाने तहस-नहस हो गए। शादी समारोहों में खलल पड़ गया। करीब आधे घंटे से अधिक समय हुई तेज बारिश से वातावरण में नमी लौट गई। इससे ठंडक का अहसास हुआ। बारिश का सबसे ज्यादा असर अनाज मंडियों पर देखा गया, जहां खुले में रखा किसानों का माल भीग गया।</p>
