
<p><strong>Bikaner News:</strong> Amidst the India-Pakistan dispute, Bikaner District Collector Namrata Vrishni has taken a significant decision. A ban has been imposed on the use of drone cameras, hot air balloons, and firecrackers across the Bikaner district. District Collector Namrata Vrishni issued orders to this effect on Thursday.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Ban to be implemented across urban and rural areas of Bikaner district</h2>



<p>Bikaner District Collector Namrata Vrishni stated in the order that using the powers conferred under Section 163 of the Indian Citizen Protection Code 2023, restrictions have been imposed across all urban and rural areas of the Bikaner district. According to the order, flying UAVs, drone cameras, hot air balloons, etc., will be prohibited. This prohibition will not apply to the operation of strategically important activities by the central government&#8217;s military or paramilitary forces and the state government&#8217;s police department.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Ban on the purchase, sale, and use of firecrackers and fireworks</h2>



<p>Similarly, District Collector Namrata Vrishni has banned the purchase, sale, and use of all types of firecrackers and fireworks. This order will be applicable to the entire Bikaner district. Violation of the order will be punishable under Section 223 of the Indian Penal Code 2023. This order will come into effect immediately and will remain in force for two months.</p>

<p>A live bomb found in Kishangarh village, Jaisalmer district, Rajasthan, on Friday morning caused widespread panic. The army immediately sealed off the entire area. The discovery of the bomb created a climate of fear in the region. Security forces have instructed people to maintain a safe distance.</p>



<p>Meanwhile, debris from a drone has been found in the Suli Dungar area within the city, which has been taken into custody by the army. <p>Following the report of a live bomb found in Kishangarh village, Jaisalmer district, SHO Premdan stated, &#8220;We received information that it could be a bomb or a part of one. Therefore, the police have arrived at the scene and are investigating.&#8221;</p>



<p>Eyewitness Arjun Das reported, &#8220;I was riding my bike around 8 pm. I saw a bomb fall, causing an explosion that destroyed a house. It was raining, and we spent the whole night in fear. We didn&#8217;t understand what was happening. We saw something that looked like a bomb. Later, we investigated to find out what it was. This incident occurred between 8 pm and the time of the firing last night.&#8221;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Eyewitness Informs Sarpanch Immediately After Bomb Falls</h2>



<p>Another eyewitness, Ganpat Nath, stated, &#8220;The sky was turning red at night. The bomb fell between 8:30 and 9 pm. I went inside the house out of fear. It&#8217;s still lying where it fell. I informed the Sarpanch immediately after it fell, after which the police informed the army.&#8221;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">56 Drone Attacks Foiled</h2>



<p>It is reported that on Thursday night, a total of 56 attempted drone attacks from Pakistan were launched towards the border districts of Jaisalmer and Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan. These were thwarted by the Indian Air Defence System. However, there is no information about any casualties or damage to property.</p>

<p><strong>Rajasthan Border Tensions:</strong> Tensions are running high once again along the India-Pakistan border. The situation that unfolded Thursday night in the border districts of Rajasthan sent shockwaves across the state. Following an attempted drone-missile attack in Jaisalmer, a complete blackout was imposed across Barmer district. A red alert has been issued in Barmer. Bunker construction has begun in Jaisalmer, Bikaner, and Barmer areas. In addition to schools, colleges have also been closed until further notice. Examinations have been postponed. Central agencies, along with Rajasthan Police and Rajasthan government agencies, are closely monitoring the situation. The Chief Minister is personally overseeing all activities. A complete blackout was maintained throughout the night in most border areas. The public is cooperating fully.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Jodhpur: Citywide Blackout, Police Patrols</h2>



<p>The escalating tensions on the India-Pakistan border are clearly visible in Jodhpur. The city remained on high alert from Thursday night, with a complete blackout imposed from 9:30 PM to 4:00 AM. The administration appealed to the public to keep their house lights completely switched off to prevent the enemy from tracing locations in any emergency. Jodhpur police vehicles patrolled the city continuously. Wherever lights were found on, they were immediately switched off. People in major areas of the city voluntarily cooperated with the administration by switching off their lights.<br>In view of the high alert, all examinations at Jai Narain Vyas University and Maulana Azad University have been postponed until further notice. The administration has also kept health services on alert. Hospitals are ensuring the availability of medicines, generators, ambulances, and medical staff. Leave for all government employees has been cancelled.<br>Jodhpur Airport has also been closed.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Bikaner: Villages Evacuated, Restrictions on Drones and Fireworks</h2>



<p>A high alert has been issued regarding security arrangements in the Bikaner district. The district administration has begun evacuating villages within a 20-kilometre radius of the border. The army and administration have intensified the deployment of security forces in these areas. RAC companies have been deployed in sensitive areas like Khajuwala and Bajju. A nighttime blackout was imposed in Bikaner city. Special surveillance is being maintained around the Nal airbase. The district administration has completely banned fireworks and the flying of drones. The ban on drone flights has also been implemented in Kota. In view of the high alert, schools, colleges, and coaching institutes have been closed until further notice. The administration has kept medical services on alert, instructing doctors, ambulances, and hospital staff to remain prepared. Leave for all government employees has also been cancelled.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Sri Ganganagar: Complete Ban on Fireworks, Public Cooperation During Blackout, Heavy Force Deployment in Border Villages</h2>



<p>A blackout was imposed in Sri Ganganagar district, bordering the India-Pakistan border, from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM on Thursday. Considering security, the administration has completely banned fireworks and the flying of drones. Security has been tightened in the district. All colleges and coaching institutes have been closed until further notice. Markets were closed early, and police patrols had been increased. The state government has immediately deployed officers to vacant posts in the district. This includes border areas like Gharsana, Anupgarh, and Gajsinghpur.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Barmer: Red Alert, Night-Long Siren Sounds, Villages Evacuated, Blackout Until 4 AM</h2>



<p>A red alert was issued in Barmer district on Thursday night due to escalating tensions on the India-Pakistan border. Amidst the sounds of sirens throughout the night, the administration accelerated the evacuation of border villages. People were evacuated from rural areas within a 20-kilometre radius. A blackout was imposed from 9:00 PM to 4:00 AM. The city remained dark, and people were appealed to keep their lights off. The District Collector and Superintendent of Police instructed vigilance regarding security. All schools and colleges remained closed during the red alert. Medical resources were kept on standby, and the leave of paramedical staff was cancelled. Doctors and nursing staff were ordered to remain on 24-hour duty. The deployment of new RAC companies and the construction of bunkers have been expedited in the district.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Jaisalmer: Nine-Hour Blackout, Everything Closed Until 6 AM</h2>



<p>Considering the tense situation in Jaisalmer district, bordering Pakistan, the administration has declared a high alert. Following a recent drone attack, the district administration has extended the blackout period from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Schools have been closed until further notice. Tanot Mata Temple has been closed. No one except soldiers can enter. Similarly, tourists are not being allowed to visit border areas.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Pali: City Echoed with Siren Sounds, Teams Patrolled Throughout the Night</h2>



<p>Amidst the tension, a high alert has been issued in Pali district. Following instructions from District Collector L.N. Mantri, a complete blackout was imposed in the city and Rohat area from 10:45 PM to 4:00 AM on Thursday. People were appealed to keep their house lights off. Police patrol vehicles roamed the city streets, and any lights found on were switched off. Notably, people in most neighbourhoods voluntarily cooperated with the administration by switching off their lights. Many mosques used sirens to alert people and convey the message to remain in darkness.</p>


<p>Rajasthan Border Alert Latest Update: The Chief Minister is personally monitoring all activities. A complete blackout has been maintained in most border areas throughout the night. The public is extending full cooperation.</p>

<p>The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has postponed the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 for a week due to escalating tensions along the India-Pakistan border and nearby areas.</p>



<p>Today’s match between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Lucknow has been called off. On Thursday, the match between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings in Dharamshala was also halted midway.</p>



<p>The decision was taken during an emergency meeting held on Friday.</p>



<p>A match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamshala on Thursday had to be stopped after 10.1 overs due to aerial and drone attacks from Pakistan. The attacks resulted in blackouts in Jammu, Pathankot, and Udhampur – all areas near Dharamshala. This heightened uncertainty surrounding the tournament.</p>



<p>The decision was made by the IPL Governing Council following representations from several franchisees, who shared concerns expressed by players. Broadcasters, sponsors and fans were also considered during discussions. While the BCCI expressed confidence in the country’s armed forces, it said the suspension was in the best interest of all stakeholders.</p>



<p>In a statement, the Board said it stood united with the Government of India, the Armed Forces, and the citizens. It saluted the courage and sacrifice of the armed forces involved in Operation Sindoor, who are responding to the recent terrorist attack and Pakistan’s military aggression.</p>



<p>&#8220;While cricket remains a national passion, there is nothing greater than the Nation and its sovereignty, integrity, and security,&#8221; the statement read. The BCCI affirmed its commitment to decisions that uphold the nation’s interest above all else.</p>



<p>The suspension follows Thursday night’s incident at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium, which led to the cancellation of the match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC). The IPL had reached its closing stages, with the final originally set for May 25.</p>

<p><strong>Operation Sindoor:</strong> Following India&#8217;s missile strikes on terrorist bases under ‘Operation Sindoor’, Pakistan, in a fit of rage, attempted a retaliatory action on Thursday night. The Pakistani army attempted to attack border areas in Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan using drones and missiles, but all attempts were thwarted due to the alertness of the Indian army.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">50 Pakistani Drones Destroyed</h2>



<p>According to sources, Pakistan sent drones to sensitive areas like Jammu, Samba, Baramulla, Kupwara, Udhampur, Pathankot, and Jaisalmer. However, in a large-scale counter-drone operation conducted by Indian Army air defence units, more than 50 drones were neutralised. This operation extensively used L-70 guns, ZU-23 mm guns, Shilka systems, and modern counter-UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) equipment.</p>

<p>One woman was killed and another injured in cross-border firing in the Uri area of Baramulla district, Kashmir. A vehicle travelling from Razrwani to Baramulla came under fire near Mohura. Nargis Begum was killed in the incident. Hafiza, wife of Rajik Ahmad Khan, was injured and immediately taken to GMC Baramulla for treatment.</p>

200km Border Sealed in Sri Ganganagar District Amidst Heightened Security Alert


<p><strong>Deepak Sharma</strong><br>Sri Ganganagar. Following India&#8217;s surgical strikes on terrorist bases in Pakistan, soldiers are on high alert along the border. The Border Security Force (BSF) has sealed approximately 200 km of border in Sri Ganganagar district, from Rawalammandi and Suratgarh to Hindumalkoat. Soldiers are vigilantly monitoring the border fence in shifts.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Increased Security on the Border</h2>



<p>According to BSF sources, Pakistan had deployed its troops a few days earlier. Pakistan has constructed an earthen embankment well behind the zero line, making it difficult to observe activities on the other side. In response, the BSF has increased the number of personnel at border outposts. The number of night checkpoints has also been increased. Officers from sector and battalion headquarters are also regularly patrolling the border.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">No Anxiety Among Villagers</h2>



<p>Considering the tension, villagers near the border have been prevented from accessing their fields beyond the fence, but there is no anxiety among the villagers. Villagers from Lakhakam, Khataan, 33 PS, 36 PS, 40 PS, and other villages bordering Pakistan, stated that they will cooperate with the security forces under all circumstances. These villages witnessed the 1965 and 1971 Indo-Pak wars.</p>



<p>Meanwhile, a team comprising the District Collector, Superintendent of Police, and CMHO is on high alert along the border, anticipating a possible retaliatory attack following the air strikes. Police are patrolling border villages. City residents expressed happiness over the surgical strikes and pledged their support for the nation&#8217;s decision. A mock drill was observed and understood during the day. In the evening, as soon as the sirens sounded, vehicles on the roads stopped and pulled over to the side.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Appeal to Ignore Rumours</h2>



<p>On Wednesday, an Anupgarh police team, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Prashant Kaushik and Station House Officer Ishwar Prasad Jangid, visited border villages. The police interacted with the villagers, briefed them about the current situation, and strictly warned them against rumours. They emphasised the need for vigilance but stressed that there was no need for panic.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Instructions Given to Villagers</h2>



<p>The police team appealed to the villagers to immediately report any suspicious individuals, activities, or vehicles to the nearest police station or helpline. They were also urged not to spread or share any false information on social media. DSP Kaushik stated that strict action would be taken against those spreading rumours. The Station House Officer informed that police patrols have been intensified in border villages due to their sensitivity.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Full Cooperation from Villagers</h2>



<p>Upon the arrival of police officers in the villages, the villagers welcomed the administration and assured their cooperation in all circumstances. In many places, villagers volunteered to monitor and report any suspicious activity. DSP Kaushik stated that the Anupgarh area is completely calm and normal life continues. People are urged to maintain peace and not be misled by any unverified information.</p>


<p>A team comprising the Superintendent of Police, the Chief Medical Officer (CMHO), and others is on high alert at the border, anticipating a possible retaliatory attack following the airstrike.</p>
