कोटा @ पत्रिका. शहर में गर्मी के तीखे तेवर कायम हैं। बुधवार को गर्म हवा चली। धूप इतनी तीखी थी कि दोपहर में सड़कें लगभग सूनी नजर आईं। लोग बाहर निकलने से बचते दिखे और जरूरी काम के लिए ही घरों से निकले। गर्मी के चलते दोपहर में दुकानों पर ग्राहकों की संख्या काफी कम रही। मौसम विभाग के अनुसार, बुधवार को अधिकतम तापमान 42.0 डिग्री सेल्सियस दर्ज किया गया, जबकि न्यूनतम तापमान 1 डिग्री बढ़कर 25.2 डिग्री सेल्सियस रहा। मौसम शुष्क रहने से गुरुवार से वापस तापमान में एक सप्ताह तक बढ़ोतरी रहेगी और लू चलेगी।

Kota city in Rajasthan is experiencing a significant heatwave. On Friday, the maximum temperature soared to 43.6 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature rose by 2 degrees to 26.9 degrees Celsius. Wind speed remained at 7 km per hour. Amidst the rising temperatures, a change in weather is anticipated.



According to the Meteorological Department, a new western disturbance will become active on 26 April (today). Its impact is expected to bring thunderstorms, light rain, and strong winds or dust storms in the afternoon across several districts, including Jaipur, Ajmer, Bharatpur, and Kota. In view of this, the department has issued a yellow alert. However, this relief is not expected to last long.



From 27 April, a period of intense heat is expected to return, with a possibility of a heatwave developing by 29 April. People are advised to exercise caution.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Relief from Heatwave Expected in May</h2>



The Meteorological Department has predicted another change in weather during the first week of May. The influence of easterly winds and continuously active western disturbances could increase the frequency of storms and rain, leading to a drop in temperature and providing relief from the heatwave.

Weather Update: A fresh western disturbance will become active on 26 April, i.e., today. Due to its influence, several districts including Jaipur, Ajmer, Bharatpur, and Kota, and surrounding areas may experience thunderstorms, light rain, and strong winds or dust storms in the afternoon.

UP Board Result Live: The Uttar Pradesh Board examination results were declared on Friday, 24 April 2025. Director of Secondary Education, Dr. Mahendra Dev, and UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh announced the results. This year, 81.15% of students passed the 12th-grade examination, while 90.11% passed the 10th-grade examination. The pass percentage of prisoners was 5% higher than that of students.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Prisoner Performance</h2>



Considering the Uttar Pradesh Board examination results, 91 out of 105 prisoners passed the intermediate (12th grade) examination, achieving a pass percentage of 86%. This is 5% higher than the 81.15% pass rate for students. In the 10th-grade examination, 91 out of 94 prisoners who took the exam from jail passed, resulting in a 96% pass percentage. Compared to the last 5 years, there has been a 17% increase in the pass percentage (83% in 2020).



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">12th Grade Results</h2>



In the Uttar Pradesh Board examination results, 81.15% of students passed the 12th grade. A total of 27,05,017 students appeared for the 12th-grade exam this year, including 14,58,983 boys and 12,46,024 girls.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">10th Grade Results</h2>



In the Uttar Pradesh Board examination results, 90.11% of students passed the 10th grade. This year, there were 14,49,736 boys and 12,82,458 girls who appeared for the exam. Girls achieved a pass percentage of 93.87%, while boys achieved 86.66%, a difference of 7.21%.

India formally informed Pakistan on Thursday of its decision to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty with immediate effect, citing Islamabad&#8217;s violation of the treaty&#8217;s terms. Debashree Mukherjee, Secretary, Ministry of Jal Shakti, wrote to the Secretary of Pakistan&#8217;s Ministry of Water Resources. The letter, written by Debashree Mukherjee to Syed Ali Murtaza, Secretary, Pakistan&#8217;s Ministry of Water Resources, stated: “The Government of India has decided that the Indus Waters Treaty, 1960, will be suspended with immediate effect.”



The decision to suspend the decades-old treaty follows a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday, which killed 26 people, mostly tourists. India stated that cross-border terrorism emanating from Pakistan targeting Jammu and Kashmir directly impedes India&#8217;s rights under the Indus Waters Treaty. The 1960 treaty allocates the eastern rivers Sutlej, Beas, and Ravi to India and the western rivers Indus, Jhelum, and Chenab to Pakistan.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Cross-Border Terrorism Continues</h2>



The letter reads: “Respectful adherence to a treaty is fundamental to its basis. However, we have witnessed continued cross-border terrorism emanating from Pakistan targeting the Indian Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.” The letter further states that the resulting security uncertainties have directly hampered the full exercise of India&#8217;s rights under the treaty. The letter adds: “Furthermore, in addition to other violations committed by it, Pakistan has refused to respond to India’s request to enter into consultations envisaged under the Treaty and has thus violated the Treaty.”



Following the Pahalgam terrorist attack, India announced several strong policy measures. The Cabinet Committee on Security decided to temporarily halt the Indus Waters Treaty and suspend visa services for Pakistani citizens with immediate effect. Additionally, the number of staff at the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi has been reduced from 55 to 30.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Visas Cancelled from 27 April</h2>



The Ministry of External Affairs stated on Thursday that all existing valid visas issued by India to Pakistani citizens will be cancelled from 27 April 2025. Medical visas issued to Pakistani citizens will only be valid until 29 April 2025. All Pakistani nationals currently in the country must leave India before the revised visa expiry date. Meanwhile, Indian citizens have been strongly advised against travelling to Pakistan, and those currently in Pakistan have been advised to return home as soon as possible.



On Thursday, India briefed top diplomats from around 20 countries on the Pahalgam attack and India&#8217;s stance. These countries include the US, UK, Russia, the European Union, Italy, Qatar, Japan, China, Germany, France, Indonesia, Malaysia, Oman, the UAE, and Norway. Their diplomats were summoned to the Ministry of External Affairs in South Block.



The terrorist attack in the Baisaran Valley, Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on 22 April, shocked the nation. The attack resulted in the deaths of 26 tourists, including 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen, with several others injured. The terrorist group ‘The Resistance Front’, linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba, claimed responsibility for the attack. The incident has once again heightened tensions in India-Pakistan relations.

MP News: Finding employment is challenging for ordinary people. In response, the government plans to provide employment to at least one family member. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav instructed officials to this effect during a review meeting of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) department on Friday. He stated that the state has immense potential for development. Every sector is full of promise; work needs to be done at the grassroots level. Through MSMEs, at least one person in every family can be provided with employment or self-employment.



With an investment of ₹55,000 crore, 17.55 lakh registered MSME units are operating in the state, providing jobs to over 92 lakh people. There are 5,300 start-ups, with more than 2,500 led by women. Investors are being given details related to the land bank, and over 1,100 plots will be available for allotment from 1 May. Departmental minister Chaitanya Kashyap was also present at the meeting. The CM instructed the department to organise a grand event on MSME Day (27 June) in Indore, followed by another in Bhopal in September.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Open Small Units in Districts, Starting with Ratlam</h2>



CM Mohan Yadav said, &#8220;Rapidly expand activities according to the circumstances and capabilities of each district. Expand entrepreneurship by connecting youth with micro-industries such as oil mills, spice-flour mills, and processing units for kodo millet, kutki and other millets. Modernise agricultural produce markets. These should include facilities for safe storage of milk, vegetables, etc., starting with Ratlam.&#8221;



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">State Ranked 7th in MSME Development</h2>



Madhya Pradesh is ranked 7th in the country in MSME development. The CM said, &#8220;We have to secure a top position for the state by next year.&#8221; The year 2025 is being celebrated as the Year of Industry and Employment, therefore, Industry-Employment Day will be celebrated at two-month intervals. Powerloom units will be started. Regional-level camps will be held to improve skill enhancement and technical proficiency with the help of experts.



The Tech Growth Conclave organised by the Department of Science and Technology will be held at the Brilliant Convention Centre in Indore on 27 April. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Nvidia, Siemens-EDA, Tholons, Yotta, CTRLS Data Centers, Rackbank, and Netlink will participate. These companies have given their consent. The conclave will focus on the animation, visual effects, gaming, comics, and extended reality industries.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">CM to Hold One-on-One Discussions</h2>



CM Dr. Mohan Yadav will hold one-on-one discussions with representatives of the major companies attending the conclave. In the morning, sectoral roundtables will discuss GCC, IT, ITeS, semiconductors, drones, and AVGC-XR. Discussions will focus on partnerships. In the afternoon, there will be one-on-one meetings between the CM and industrialists.
