Furthermore, Pakistan also recently acknowledged that they negotiated the ceasefire directly with India, without any third-party involvement.</p>

<p><strong>SI Recruitment-2021:</strong> Rajasthan High Court&#8217;s Division Bench on Monday stayed a single-judge bench order cancelling the Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment-2021. This decision was taken after hearing the appeal of Amar Singh and other selected Sub-Inspectors before a bench headed by Justice S.P. Sharma.</p>



<p>The single-judge bench had ordered the cancellation of the recruitment exam citing widespread irregularities and malpractice. The selected candidates challenged this decision by filing an appeal in the Division Bench.</p>



<p>In its order, the single-judge bench had stated that the fairness of the SI recruitment-2021 process was questionable due to paper leaks and other irregularities. The court, deeming it neither legal nor transparent, directed the cancellation of the recruitment.</p>



<p>Against this decision, the selected Sub-Inspectors filed a petition in the Division Bench, arguing that cancelling the entire recruitment was not justified. They stated that the government was also not in favour of cancelling the recruitment and that the Special Operations Group (SOG) had initiated action against those involved in the paper leak.</p>



<p>The petitioners argued that it was possible to identify the right and wrong candidates in the recruitment process. They termed the single-judge bench&#8217;s decision as not legally sound and demanded its cancellation. They said that the selected candidates should not be punished for the mistakes of a few. Furthermore, it was argued that cancelling the recruitment would unfairly impact those candidates who had passed the exam honestly and through hard work.</p>



<p>After hearing arguments from both sides, the Division Bench imposed an interim stay on the single-judge bench&#8217;s order. The court directed that the decision to cancel the recruitment process be stayed until the next hearing. This decision has provided relief to the selected candidates, who had been facing uncertainty for a long time. The matter will now be debated in detail at the next court hearing, after which a final decision will be taken.</p>

Maharashtra Cancels Recognition of 23 Schools


<p>The Maharashtra government has revoked the recognition of 23 English-medium residential schools run for students of the Dhangar Community (Dhangar Community School). This action follows the discovery of alleged irregularities. A senior official stated that 20 of these schools are located in Jalna district, two in Beed, and one in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district.</p>



<p>These schools were established in 2024 under the Rajmata Yeshwantrao Holkar English Medium Residential Education Scheme. The scheme aimed to provide students with free accommodation, meals, and quality education. Initially, 5,500 students were enrolled, with a target of adding 10,000 new students annually.</p>



<p>However, inspections conducted by departmental officials between 11 and 14 July revealed serious irregularities. The official reported that several schools, despite receiving government grants, failed to provide students with adequate housing or basic amenities like meals. This matter came to light after social workers Suresh Kale and Somnath Kale from Ambad filed a complaint with the department.</p>



<p>Subsequently, the Other Backward Classes and Minority Welfare Department took stringent action, issuing an order on 1 September to revoke the recognition of the 23 schools. The department clarified that affected students will not be deprived of education. They will be accommodated in nearby recognised schools to ensure their studies are not disrupted.</p>



<p>While this decision is considered crucial for ensuring quality education and transparency, it has also caused concern among thousands of students and their parents. Attention is now focused on how and when the government will provide alternative arrangements for the affected children.</p>

<p>Millions of commuters in Mumbai and its suburbs are set to receive a major boost with the Panvel-Borivali-Vasai Rail Corridor finally becoming a reality. The long-awaited project recently received approval from the Cabinet Infrastructure Committee meeting. This ambitious project will be developed under the Mumbai Urban Transport Project (MUTP-3B).</p>

<p>This suburban rail corridor will span 69.23 kilometres and is estimated to cost over ₹12,710 crore. The route will commence from Panvel, traversing through Vasai, and reaching Borivali and Virar. A total of 19 stations will be constructed along this line, including stations like Bhiwandi Road, Navi Dombivali, Kopar, Taloja Panchand, Kalamboli, and Borivali.</p>

<p>Currently, commuters travelling from Navi Mumbai (Panvel) to Borivali or Vasai need to change trains at Kurla or Wadala. This new corridor will eliminate this inconvenience, providing direct connectivity. This will save considerable travel time for daily commuters to and from western Mumbai. The route will also greatly benefit commuters in the western suburbs, enabling them to directly access long-distance trains to Goa or Pune from Panvel.</p>

<p>This new rail corridor will provide Bhiwandi, known for its loom power industry, with direct connectivity to Navi Mumbai and western Mumbai. Residents of large housing projects like Palava and Runwal City, located on Shilphata Road, will also benefit from this rail link, gaining easy access to Borivali, Vasai, and Panvel.</p>

<p>Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba has decided to resign from his post. PM Ishiba cited internal party strife as the reason for his resignation. Since the Upper House election defeat in July, Ishiba has faced criticism within the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP). Ishiba assumed the premiership last October.</p>



<p>Japan Today, citing sources close to Ishiba, reported that Ishiba, who assumed office in October 2024, had expressed a desire to quell the leadership struggle within the LDP by threatening to dissolve the House of Representatives and call for snap elections. This stance faced strong opposition within the LDP.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Loss of Majority in Both Houses</h2>



<p>This decision comes less than a year after the 68-year-old Ishiba took the helm of the long-dominant Liberal Democratic Party (LDP). He has lost his majority in both houses of parliament.</p>



<p>Public broadcaster NHK stated that Ishiba made the decision to avoid a split in the party, while the Asahi Shimbun daily said he was unable to withstand the mounting calls for his resignation.</p>



<p>Reportedly, the Agriculture Minister and a former Prime Minister met with Ishiba on Saturday night and urged him to resign voluntarily. Last week, four senior LDP officials, including the party&#8217;s number two, Hiroshi Moriyama, offered their resignations.</p>

<p>The Asia Cup 2025, commencing on 9th September, will feature eight teams for the first time, including three associate nations: Hong Kong, UAE, and Oman. Hong Kong, the most experienced of the three, is participating in its fifth Asia Cup. The UAE has participated four times, while this will be Oman&#8217;s debut. All three teams qualified through the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Premier Cup tournament.</p>

<p>Hong Kong secured second place in their group by defeating Qatar and Malaysia, reaching the semi-finals. Despite losing to Oman in the semi-final, they qualified for the Asia Cup by winning the third-place playoff against Nepal.</p>



<p>This is Hong Kong&#8217;s fifth Asia Cup appearance and their second in the T20 format. Their first qualification was in 2004, followed by 2008. After missing the next four editions, they returned strongly in 2018 and again qualified in 2022. However, they have yet to progress beyond the first round. This time, Hong Kong will aim to improve their record.</p>

<p>The UAE qualified for the Asia Cup through the ACC Men&#8217;s Premier Cup 2024. In this tournament held in Oman, the top two teams secured Asia Cup berths. The UAE defeated Nepal in the semi-final before beating Oman in the final. They are grouped with defending champions India, Pakistan, and Oman in Group A. Their first match is against India in Dubai, followed by Oman in Abu Dhabi, and then Pakistan in Dubai.</p>



<p>The UAE previously played in the Asia Cup T20 format only once, in 2016. That year, the qualifying stage was integrated into the tournament, and the UAE easily won the first stage with victories over Afghanistan, Hong Kong, and Oman. In the second stage, they lost all four matches, finishing bottom.</p>

<p>Oman topped their group in the Premier Cup with four wins from four matches, before defeating Hong Kong in the semi-final. Although they lost to the UAE in the final, both teams qualified for the Asia Cup. The third-place playoff victory by Hong Kong also secured their place in the tournament.</p>

Kuldeep has 69 wickets in T20 International matches.</p>

<p><strong>Lucknow:</strong> Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a significant benefit for teachers across the state on Teacher&#8217;s Day – cashless medical treatment. This facility will not only be available to teachers of primary, upper primary, secondary, aided schools and colleges but will also cover Shikshamitras, instructors, and cooks.</p>



<p>At the state-level Teacher&#8217;s Honour Ceremony held in Lucknow on Friday, the Chief Minister announced that all teachers in the state will now be able to avail of cashless medical treatment. This facility will not only be available to teachers of primary, upper primary, secondary, aided schools and colleges but will also cover Shikshamitras (Shiksha Mitra), instructors, and cooks.</p>



<p>Making this historic announcement, CM Yogi said that this decision will directly benefit approximately 9 lakh teacher families. Now, in any illness or emergency situation, teachers and their families will not have to face financial hardship.</p>



<p>CM Yogi described this as a &#8216;symbol of the government&#8217;s gratitude for the contribution of teachers&#8217;. </p>



<p>He honoured teachers, distributed tablets, and inaugurated smart classes at the event held in the Lok Bhavan auditorium on Teacher&#8217;s Day. In his address, the Chief Minister said, &#8220;I would say to all the teachers across the state: you do well, and we are with you. On Teacher&#8217;s Day, you all must be thinking what more could be done. We want to announce that we will provide all teachers in the state with the benefit of cashless treatment. Along with this, we will also include Shikshamitras, instructors, and cooks. That is, this facility will benefit approximately 9 lakh teachers, or 9 lakh families, of Uttar Pradesh. The Basic Education, Secondary Education, and Higher Education departments will complete all formalities as soon as possible and work to provide cashless treatment within a time frame.&#8221;</p>



<p>He also announced that a high-level committee has been formed to increase the honorarium of Shikshamitras and instructors. After the committee&#8217;s report, the government will soon take a positive decision on this. The government&#8217;s decision is because these people also support this campaign step by step. The report will be coming very soon, and we will try to do something better in that direction.</p>



<p>CM Yogi said that campaigns like Operation Kayakalp and Project Alankara were launched to improve the condition of schools in the state. Under Operation Kayakalp, 1.36 lakh schools were connected with 19 basic facilities. Meanwhile, through Project Alankara, 2,100 schools have been provided with new buildings and a safe environment so far.</p>
