
<p><strong>Rajasthan Weather Today:</strong> Monsoon rains have surprised everyone in Rajasthan. The rainfall on Monday, including in Jaipur and other districts, proved more of a hardship than a relief for the common people. The Meteorological Department has issued a new update for 29 July. According to the Meteorological Department&#8217;s prediction for 29 July, there is a possibility of moderate to light rain and one or two spells of heavy rain with thunderstorms and lightning in Jaipur, Jaipur City, Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, Bundi, Kota districts and surrounding areas. Winds of 30-50 KMPH are also expected. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for these seven districts.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Orange Alert Issued for 7 Districts</h2>



<p>The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for 29 July. Under this yellow alert, there is a possibility of moderate to light rain with thunderstorms and lightning in Bharatpur, Karauli, Alwar, Dholpur, Chittorgarh, Baran, Jhalawar districts and surrounding areas. Winds of 20-30 KMPH are expected.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Highest Rainfall Recorded in Atru</h2>



<p>According to Meteorological Department data, light to heavy rain was recorded in many places in eastern Rajasthan and light rain in some places in western Rajasthan in the last 24 hours. The highest rainfall of 109.0 mm was recorded in Atru (Baran).</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Heavy Rainfall Alert for 30-31 July</h2>



<p>According to the Meteorological Centre, there is a strong possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in Bharatpur, Dholpur, Karauli, Deeg, Sawai Madhopur, Alwar, Dausa, Jaipur, Jaipur Rural, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Beawar, Didwana-Kuchaman, Nagaur and Tonk on 30-31 July. Moderate to heavy rainfall is also likely in Bikaner, Churu, Hanumangarh and Sri Ganganagar.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Highest Rainfall in Jaipur in 10 Years</h2>



<p>Jaipur recorded its highest one-day rainfall in 10 years, with 111 mm (more than four inches) recorded on JLN Marg. The all-time record for one-day rainfall in Jaipur is 326 mm, recorded in 1981. In addition, 55 mm of rain was recorded at the Jaipur Collectorate, 74 mm at Sanganer, and 12 mm at Amer.</p>

<p><strong>US Tariff on India:</strong> US President Donald Trump had imposed a 25% tax on India, but reports now indicate that the US has deferred the 25% tariff on India for seven days. Medvedev responded sharply, suggesting that Trump should rewatch his favourite zombie films and remember how dangerous a non-existent &#8216;dead hand&#8217; could be. &#8216;Dead hand&#8217; refers to the Cold War concept of Soviet automated nuclear retaliation, a system that could theoretically launch a counterattack even after the destruction of the Russian leadership.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Threats Issued Upon Entering Office</h2>



<p>Following his re-election, Donald Trump announced tariffs on several countries on 2 April, but deferred their implementation for seven days until 31 July. He has now again extended the implementation date by a further seven days. China responded most forcefully to the US tariff policy. When Trump announced a 145% tariff on China, China retaliated with a 125% tariff. In May, both countries reduced tariff rates through mutual agreement and initiated trade negotiations.</p>

<p>Torrential rainfall in Rajasthan has caused widespread disruption. Many districts are facing flood-like situations, with roads and homes submerged.</p>



<p>Water levels in most dams have reached near-critical levels. Many routes are blocked, and school closures due to flooding have impacted students&#8217; education.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Schools Closed on 1st and 2nd August</h2>



<p>In view of the situation, schools in several districts have been declared closed on 1st and 2nd August. Government and private schools, Anganwadis, and coaching institutes in Ajmer, Bundi, Bikaner, Nagaur, Didwana-Kuchaman, Jaisalmer, and Dholpur will remain closed due to heavy rainfall warnings.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Teachers and Staff to Remain Present</h2>



<p>In Ajmer, District Collector Lok Bandhu has ordered the closure of schools and Anganwadi centres on 1st August. However, teachers and staff have been instructed to remain present at their designated times. In Bundi, schools will remain closed for students from classes 1 to 12 until 2nd August.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Administrative Confusion Regarding Closure</h2>



<p>However, administrative confusion regarding school closures has also emerged. The authority to close government schools has been delegated to the respective CBEOs (Cluster Block Education Officers), but the lack of clear instructions regarding private schools has created uncertainty. Some private schools have announced closures independently, leading to confusion among parents.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Building Survey Underway in Jaisalmer</h2>



<p>In Jaisalmer district, the holiday period for students has been extended due to safety inspections of school buildings. The district administration has decided to keep all government and non-government schools and Anganwadi centres closed for students until 2nd August.</p>



<p>According to the order issued by the district administration, the inspection of the structural condition of buildings, the need for repairs, and other safety aspects is currently underway. This decision has been taken to avoid putting children at risk. However, all teaching and non-teaching staff have been instructed to remain present at schools and Anganwadi centres as per their departmental timings.</p>



<p>A warning has also been issued of disciplinary action against the relevant government and non-government educational institutions that fail to comply with the order. It is noteworthy that this holiday was initially announced from 29th to 31st July and has now been extended to 2nd August.</p>

<p><strong>LPG Cylinder Price:</strong> A significant relief from inflation has arrived on the first day of the month. State-owned oil companies have reduced the prices of LPG cylinders. However, this reduction applies only to commercial gas cylinders, used in restaurants, hotels, and wedding/party functions. The price of commercial gas cylinders has been reduced by ₹33.50. The new rates came into effect today, August 1st.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What are the new prices?</h2>



<p>While the prices of 19 kg LPG cylinders have decreased, there has been no change in the price of 14 kg domestic LPG cylinders. With the new rates, a 19 kg LPG cylinder will now cost ₹1,631.50 in Delhi, down from ₹1,665. Similarly, commercial gas cylinder prices have decreased across the country. In Kolkata, the new price is ₹1,734.50. In Mumbai, it is ₹1,582.50, and in Chennai, it is ₹1,789. The reduction in the price of 19 kg gas cylinders has provided significant relief to small businesses and confectioners in the food industry.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Domestic LPG Cylinder Prices Unchanged for the Past 4 Months</h2>



<p>State-owned oil companies have not changed the price of 14.3 kg domestic LPG cylinders for the past four months. The last price change for domestic LPG cylinders occurred on 8 April 2025. Since then, prices have remained unchanged.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Current Cooking Gas Cylinder Prices</h2>



<p>Currently, a domestic cooking gas cylinder costs ₹853 in Delhi. In Mumbai, it costs ₹852.50, in Lucknow ₹890.50, in Patna ₹942.50, in Hyderabad ₹905, in Indore ₹881, and in Ghaziabad ₹850.50.</p>

Registered Post Service to be Discontinued from September 1st


<p><strong>Registered Post:</strong> The Indian Postal Department has decided to discontinue the registered post service, which has been in operation since the British era, and merge it with the speed post service. Bengaluru Company Defrauded of Rs 378 Crore by Part-Time Employee


<p>A case of approximately ₹378 crore being stolen by hacking a company&#8217;s server in Bengaluru on Wednesday has come to light. The company suspects the involvement of a part-time employee.</p>



<p>The Whitefield Cyber Crime, Economic Offences and Narcotics (CEN) police station has registered a case in this regard. Nebilo Technologies Private Limited, located in Vaishnavi Tech Park near Belandur, Bengaluru, has filed the complaint.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Police detain employee</h2>



<p>Hardeep Singh, Vice President of Public Policy and Government Affairs, filed the complaint. The role of Rahul Agrawal, a company staff member, is suspicious in this case. He has now been taken into police custody.</p>



<p>According to the First Information Report (FIR), the company operates as a trading platform for cryptocurrency exchange and sales. On July 19, at approximately 2:37 AM, an unknown person hacked into the company&#8217;s wallet and transferred 1 USDT to another account.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Amount later transferred to different accounts</h2>



<p>Later, at approximately 9:40 AM, the same person transferred 40 million USD (approximately ₹378.95 crore) to their account. This amount was later distributed across six different accounts.</p>



<p>Upon investigating the hacking incident and the transfer of funds, the company found that the laptop used by employee Rahul Agrawal had been tampered with.</p>



<p>Upon questioning, Agrawal stated that he had been working part-time with the company for a year and used the laptop solely for company-related work.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Laptop used for unauthorised purposes</h2>



<p>It was also discovered that, in violation of company policy, the laptop was also used for unauthorised purposes. The FIR states that Rahul Agrawal is suspected of being involved in this crime, possibly in collusion with others.</p>



<p>Police have registered a case against Rahul Agrawal and others under sections 66, 43, 66(C), and 66(D) of the Information Technology Act, as well as sections 303, 316(4), 318(4), and 319(2) of the BNS Act.</p>



<p>An officer stated that further investigation into the matter is underway and more information is expected to emerge as the investigation progresses. Cybercrime remains one of the most challenging issues these days.</p>



<p>In the past few years, many people have fallen victim to it and lost their hard-earned money. However, due to the tireless efforts of the authorities, many cases have also been solved, and large sums of stolen money have been recovered.</p>


<p>A company in Bengaluru has reported a theft of ₹378 crore. The company suspects Rahul Agrawal, a part-time employee, of involvement in the theft. </p>

<p>The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for several districts in Rajasthan following widespread rainfall across the state. Light to moderate rain was recorded in most parts of eastern Rajasthan, with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas. </p>



<p>Western Rajasthan also experienced light to moderate rainfall, with heavy showers in isolated locations. The highest rainfall was recorded in Shahpura, Jaipur, at 156 millimetres. The highest maximum temperature was recorded in Ganganagar at 37.0 degrees Celsius, and the lowest minimum temperature was recorded in Sirohi at 20.1 degrees Celsius. The IMD has forecast further rainfall for the next 48 hours.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Orange Alert in 6 Districts</h2>



<p>The IMD has issued an orange alert for Ajmer, Jaipur, Sikar, Churu, Nagaur, and Pali districts, warning of heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning.</p>



<p>A yellow alert has been issued for Alwar, Bhilwara, Bundi, Dausa, Jhunjhunu, Kota, Rajsamand, Tonk, Bikaner, Hanumangarh, Jodhpur, and Sri Ganganagar, predicting heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Tomorrow&#8217;s Forecast</h2>



<p>The IMD has issued a yellow alert for eight districts for tomorrow, predicting heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning in Ajmer, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Bikaner, Churu, Hanumangarh, Nagaur, and Sri Ganganagar.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">IMD Forecast</h2>



<p>According to the IMD, a circulation system persists over Madhya Pradesh and adjoining eastern Rajasthan, leading to the ongoing heavy rainfall. However, there is a strong possibility of relief from heavy rainfall from August 1st. However, some parts of the Shekhawati region and Bikaner division may still experience isolated heavy rainfall on August 1st.</p>

<p><strong>World Athletics</strong>: Women athletes will now be required to undergo a one-time gender test, the SRY gene test. Any female athlete who does not undergo this test will not be able to participate in world ranking competitions. The World Athletics Council implemented this test on Wednesday. </p>



<p>This rule has been created to prevent athletes who have changed their gender to compete in women&#8217;s events, and will come into effect on 1 September 2025. Therefore, female athletes will not be able to participate in the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, starting August 13th, without passing the SRY gene test.</p>



<p>According to a press release issued by World Athletics, this test will need to be done only once in a lifetime and will be conducted via a buccal swab or blood test, whichever is more convenient. This test will identify the athlete&#8217;s gender.</p>

<p>Commenting on the new rules and the SRY test, World Athletics President Sebastian Coe said, “The philosophy we cherish in World Athletics is the protection and promotion of the integrity of women’s sport. In a sport that is genuinely trying to attract more women permanently, it is really important that they enter the sport with the confidence that there is no biological impediment. The testing is a very important step to confirm biological gender.” He further added, “We are saying that to compete at a specific level in the female category, you have to be biologically female.”</p>

Couple robbed on way back from religious trip, wife murdered, husband hurt


<p><strong>Bareilly</strong>: A couple returning from a pilgrimage to Purnagiri were attacked and robbed, resulting in the brutal murder of the wife and serious injuries to her husband. The incident sent shockwaves through the police department. Upon receiving information, SSP Anurag Arya, SP South Anshika Verma, SP Crime, SOG, Surveillance Unit, and the Forensic Team arrived at the scene and collected evidence.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Incident Occurs Late at Night While Returning by Bike</h2>



<p>Om Sharan, a resident of village Vyuli, Wazirganj, Badaun, was returning with his wife Amarwati (35) after visiting Purnagiri. After stopping for a while at their in-laws&#8217; house in village Motipur, Awala, they set off for home at night on a relative&#8217;s motorbike. Family members advised them against travelling at night, but they insisted, citing their children being alone at home.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Bike Stopped Near Kanthari Temple by Miscreants</h2>



<p>As the couple neared the Kanthari temple on the Awala-Wazirganj road, they were surrounded by more than half a dozen miscreants. The armed assailants, after looting cash and jewellery, attacked the couple when they resisted. Om Sharan stated that the miscreants attacked his wife&#8217;s face and head with a sharp weapon, causing her to fall to the ground bleeding profusely. She was rushed to the Community Health Centre, where doctors declared her dead.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Injured Husband Informs Relatives, Police Arrive</h2>



<p>Following the incident, the injured husband informed his relatives and then the police. The Dial 112 team arrived at the scene and took the injured to the hospital. The news of Amarwati&#8217;s death caused chaos among her relatives. The deceased has two young children – a son and a daughter. Her husband, Om Sharan, runs a tent house in Wazirganj town.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Police Gathering Technical Evidence</h2>



<p>The police have completed the panchnama (post-mortem report) and sent the body for post-mortem. Forensic experts have collected crucial clues from the crime scene. SSP Anurag Arya stated that a case has been registered and the investigation has begun. Preliminary investigations suggest that there were about six assailants. Technical surveillance is being used to identify and apprehend them. The SSP assured that the culprits will be arrested soon and the strictest action will be taken.</p>


<p>A couple returning from a pilgrimage to Purnagiri were attacked and robbed en route. The woman was brutally murdered, while her husband sustained serious injuries. </p>
