<p>Following the accident, Pawandeep was taken to a local hospital and then transferred to a larger hospital in Delhi NCR for better treatment. Doctors reported multiple fractures, particularly in his legs, shoulder, and head. His team stated: “The operation began at 7 pm and lasted approximately 6 hours. He is currently under observation in the medical ICU.”</p>

<p>A statement released by Pawandeep&#8217;s team said: “It is only due to the prayers of his family, friends, and fans worldwide that Pawandeep is now stable. He will undergo another operation in 3-4 days.”</p>

<p><strong>Operation Sindoor:</strong> Late on Tuesday, at approximately 1:30 AM, India launched a large-scale, precise counter-terrorism operation codenamed ‘Operation Sindoor’. This was a joint operation involving the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy, targeting a total of nine terrorist bases located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The air strike destroyed key camps belonging to organisations such as Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">90 Terrorists Killed</h2>



<p>With the assistance of RAW, the Indian forces identified the targets; four were located in Pakistan and five in PoK. According to Indian intelligence sources, 80 to 90 terrorists were killed in these strikes, with the highest number of casualties, 25-30, in the Bahawalpur and Muridke camps.</p>

<p>The presence of a large number of terrorists in these camps had already been confirmed. Military sources say that these attacks completely destroyed seven Jaish and Lashkar camps and two Hizbul bases.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Pakistan&#8217;s Statement</h2>



<p>The Pakistani army confirmed India&#8217;s action, stating that the Indian forces launched a total of 24 missile strikes at six different locations, resulting in eight deaths and 33 injuries. However, India has not responded to these claims.</p>



<p>This operation is in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April, which claimed the lives of 26 innocent people. India has sent a clear message that its policy towards terrorism is now based entirely on “zero tolerance”.</p>

<p>Madhya Pradesh High Court delivers major ruling on teacher recruitment – The court has issued an interim order, raising the possibility of a special examination. The Madhya Pradesh High Court in Jabalpur issued this interim order regarding the alleged neglect of guest teachers in the teacher recruitment process. Some petitions claim that discrepancies in the experience certificates of guest teachers in the 2023-24 teacher recruitment led to many eligible teachers being excluded.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Special Examination if Petitions are Accepted</h2>



<p>A single bench of Justice Sanjay Dwivedi of the Jabalpur High Court issued the interim order. The court stated that the results of the teacher selection process will be subject to the court&#8217;s final decision on the petitions. If the petitions are accepted, the education department will have to conduct a special examination and consider the cases of the petitioners.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Issue of Experience Certificates</h2>



<p>Priti Tripathi and 13 others from Jabalpur challenged the teacher recruitment process in a petition filed with the Jabalpur High Court.<br>The petition states that for the first time in the 2023-24 teacher recruitment, the Employee Selection Board made experience certificates of guest teachers a mandatory document in the application. However, officers from the districts failed to provide them in the prescribed format. This resulted in a large number of eligible teachers being deprived.</p>

<p><strong>Rohit Sharma Retirement:</strong> Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma has surprised everyone by announcing his sudden retirement from Test cricket. </p>



<p>The decision comes ahead of Team India’s five-Test tour of England right after IPL 2025. Rohit&#8217;s decision is not only a major blow for cricket fans but also a cause for concern for the team management, as they will now have to appoint a new Test captain soon.</p>



<p>The team has vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah as a potential candidate for the Test captaincy. However, according to some media reports, the selectors are hesitant to appoint Bumrah due to fitness concerns and workload management. They prefer a younger player who will be available for all matches in the series. Two contenders are being considered.</p>



<p>Reports suggest that the selectors want to give this responsibility to young batsman Shubman Gill. Gill is currently the vice-captain of the ODI team and has consistently emerged as a rising star in Indian cricket. According to reports, it is not feasible to play Jasprit Bumrah in all five matches of the England Test series. The BCCI may rest him in some matches, keeping workload management in mind. Therefore, it is essential for the team to choose a captain who can play the entire series.</p>



<p>Gill bats at number three in the Test team. His record across all three formats is also good. Playing for India in the longest format, Gill has scored 1893 runs at an average of 35.05 in 32 matches, including five centuries and seven half-centuries. Another reason behind considering Gill as captain is his fitness. He is one of India&#8217;s fittest players and has rarely missed a match.</p>



<p>Besides Gill, the team management could also entrust the captaincy to KL Rahul (केएल राहुल). Although Rahul has captained the Test team before, his record as captain has not been particularly impressive so far. He has captained India in three Test matches, winning two. He took over the captaincy in the absence of Virat Kohli during the second Test of the South Africa tour in 2021-22. He also led the Indian team on the Bangladesh tour.</p>



<p>Recently, Rahul has regained his form in Test cricket and played some crucial innings in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. If the 33-year-old batsman is given the captaincy again, it will further boost his confidence. Rahul has also previously captained Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL.</p>

<p><strong>CG Board Result 2025:</strong> The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) will declare the class 10th and 12th examination results on 7 May 2025. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai will release the results at 3 PM. Students can check their results on the official websites of the Chhattisgarh Board, cgbse.nic.in and results.cg.nic.in. They will need to enter their roll number to access their results.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Number of Candidates</h2>



<p>Approximately 5.71 lakh students appeared for the board examinations this year. The examinations were held in March, and the process of checking answer sheets began in the same month. 36 evaluation centres were set up across the state, and the evaluation of all answer sheets was completed by 17 April. Last year, 75.61% of students passed class 10, with Simran Sabba from Jashpur topping with 99.50%. In the class 12 results, 80.74% of students passed, with Mahak Agrawal from Mahasamund topping with 97.40%.</p>

<p>A major political upheaval has unfolded in Rajasthan&#8217;s political landscape. Kanwarlal Meena, BJP MLA from Anta, has received a severe setback from the Supreme Court. A bench headed by Justice Vikram Nath dismissed Meena&#8217;s petition and ordered him to surrender within two weeks. Furthermore, the court did not stay his sentence, leading to the automatic termination of his MLA status.</p>



<p>Following the Supreme Court&#8217;s order, Kanwarlal Meea must now go to jail within 14 days. Under the Constitution and the Representation of the People Act, his MLA-ship will be automatically terminated. Meanwhile, all eyes are on the Speaker of the Assembly&#8217;s actions.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Demand for Cancellation of Membership</h2>



<p>Prior to the Supreme Court&#8217;s decision, the Congress launched a major political offensive. A delegation led by the state Congress president Govind Singh Dotasra and Leader of the Opposition Tikaram Julie submitted a memorandum to the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Secretariat. They demanded the immediate cancellation of the MLA&#8217;s membership following his three-year sentence.</p>



<p>Dotasra alleged that the Assembly Speaker should have taken suo moto cognisance and cancelled the MLA&#8217;s membership, but he neither took action nor heeded the opposition&#8217;s concerns. He stated that according to the law, an MLA&#8217;s membership is automatically terminated upon receiving a sentence of two years or more.</p>



<p>This case dates back to 2005, when MLA Kanwarlal Meena had a heated argument with the then SDM Ramniwas Mehta. It is alleged that during this altercation, Meena pulled out his revolver, pointed it at the SDM&#8217;s temple, and threatened to kill him. Additionally, the videographer&#8217;s recording of the incident was allegedly seized and destroyed.</p>



<p>However, in 2018, the ACJM court, Manoharthana, acquitted him due to lack of evidence. But the case reached the ADJ court, where he was sentenced to three years in 2023. This decision was challenged in the High Court, but the Rajasthan High Court upheld the sentence and ordered the MLA to surrender.</p>


<p>A major political upheaval has unfolded in Rajasthan. BJP MLA Kanwarlal Meena has received a significant setback from the Supreme Court.</p>

<p><strong>Operation Sindoor:</strong> In response to a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April 2025, India successfully destroyed nine terrorist camps spread across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) under ‘Operation Sindoor’. Details of this historic military operation were revealed in a joint press briefing by the Army, Air Force, and Ministry of External Affairs. The press briefing included Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Lieutenant Colonel Sophia Kureshi of the Indian Army, and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh of the Air Force. They shared details of the military and diplomatic aspects of Operation Sindoor.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Commitment to Justice for Victims of the Terrorist Attack</h2>



<p>Lieutenant Colonel Sophia Kureshi explained that the aim of ‘Operation Sindoor’ was to deliver justice to the victims of the Pahalgam terrorist attack. A total of 26 unarmed tourists, including 25 Indian and 1 Nepali citizen, were brutally murdered in this attack. She stated that Pakistan has fostered an organised structure of terrorism over the past three decades, extending into PoK. These structures were targeted, resulting in the destruction of nine terrorist camps.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Terrorist Training Camps Destroyed</h2>



<p>She revealed that the first target in PoJK was the Sawai Nala camp in Muzaffarabad, 30 km from the Line of Control, which served as a Lashkar-e-Taiba training camp. The terrorists involved in the Sonmarg (20 October 2024), Gulmarg (24 October 2024), and Pahalgam (22 April 2025) attacks had received training here.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">25-Minute Operation, No Civilian Casualties</h2>



<p>Wing Commander Vyomika Singh stated that the attack began at 1:05 am and lasted until 1:30 am. During this time, the Air Force carried out highly precise strikes to avoid damage to civilian infrastructure and prevent civilian casualties. She said that the locations were selected based on high-level intelligence. The operation involved coordinated roles from the Army, Air Force, and intelligence agencies.</p>

<p>Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri began the press briefing with a video clip showing glimpses of the Parliament attack (2001), Mumbai attack (2008), Uri, Pulwama, and now the Pahalgam attack. He explained that on 22 April, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Pakistan-linked terrorists attacked tourists in Pahalgam, shooting them at close range in front of their families. The attack was not just on innocent tourists but on India’s national unity, social harmony, and tourism.</p>

Intelligence investigations have clearly indicated Pakistan’s role in this attack. He further stated that our intelligence agencies have received indications of potential future attacks on India. Therefore, we exercised our right to cross-border retaliation, and this action was calibrated, responsible, and proportionate.</p>

Bijapur Naxal Encounter: Over 20 Naxals Killed in Chhattisgarh


<p>While India launched a major operation, codenamed ‘Operation Sindhur’, against Pakistan at 1:30 AM on Wednesday, resulting in the targeting of 9 terrorist bases in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), security forces in Chhattisgarh&#8217;s forest region have also conducted a significant operation. Security personnel engaged in intense firing, reportedly eliminating over 20 Naxals. No official confirmation has been released regarding this operation yet.</p>



<p>It is reported that two days prior, during an encounter on the Karegutta hills, security forces killed a female Naxal and recovered a .303 rifle from her body. The SP confirmed in recent days that during a 12-day operation, 4 Naxals were killed, several weapons seized, and hundreds of Naxal bunkers destroyed. Currently, security forces have reportedly surrounded key Naxal leaders.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Bijapur Naxal Encounter: Over 200 IEDs Recovered</h2>



<p>Reports indicate that over 200 IEDs have been recovered from the area. Security personnel are fully deployed at an altitude of approximately 5000 feet near Karegutta hill. It is believed that any attempt by Naxals to enter Chhattisgarh from the Telangana border will result in direct confrontation with security forces.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Claims of Killing Top Naxal Leaders</h2>



<p>Police claim that several senior Maoist leaders have either been killed or seriously injured during the operation. In addition to the encounter, hundreds of Naxal hideouts and bunkers have been destroyed.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Joint Operation Ongoing Since 21 April</h2>



<p>IG Sundarraj stated that this joint operation involving CRPF, Cobra Battalion, DRG (District Reserve Guard), and STF (Special Task Force) teams has been underway since 21 April. Continuous search operations are being conducted in forests where prior intelligence indicated Naxal activity.</p>



<p>During the encounter, heavy firing took place on both sides. After the Naxals retreated, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation, during which the body of the female Naxal was recovered. Her identity has not yet been publicly released, but security agencies are investigating her rank and any cases registered against her.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Over 100 Hardcore Naxals Killed</h2>



<p>Bastar IG Sundarraj P stated that a total of 129 hardcore Naxals have been killed so far in 2025. The bodies of these Maoists have been recovered, along with several modern weapons.</p>

<p>A fantastic opportunity has arisen for young people seeking employment at <strong>Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL)</strong>. The company has released an official notification for recruitment to a total of 209 positions for Trade, Technician, and Graduate Apprentices. The application process will commence on 19 May 2025, and interested candidates can apply until 2 June 2025.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Recruitment for these positions</h2>



<p>This recruitment drive will fill positions for Trade Apprentices, Technician Apprentices, and Graduate Apprentices. A total of 209 positions will be filled across these three categories.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Eligibility Criteria</h2>



<p><strong>Trade Apprentice: </strong>ITI certificate in a relevant trade (e.g., Electrician, Fitter, Welder, etc.) from a recognised institution.<br><strong>Technician Apprentice: </strong>Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Electronics branch.<br><strong>Graduate Apprentice: </strong>BE/B.Tech/BSc degree in Mining, Metallurgy, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.<br>Candidates should be between 18 and 25 years of age. Age relaxation will be provided for reserved categories. 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer).</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Candidate Selection Process</h2>



<p>Selection will be based on a merit list, incorporating ITI and matriculation marks. This will be followed by document verification and a medical examination.<br><strong>Salary- Trade Apprentice:</strong> ₹8,000 – ₹9,000 per month<br><strong>Technician Apprentice:</strong> ₹10,000 – ₹11,000 per month<br><strong>Graduate Apprentice: </strong>₹12,000 per month</p>

<p>Janaki Navami 2025: धर्मशास्त्रों के मुताबिक इस दिन भगवान राम व मां जानकी का व्रत-पूजन करने पर पृथ्वी दान व समस्त तीर्थों के भ्रमण का फल प्राप्त हो जाता है। इसे जानकी जयंती और सीता नवमी दोनों नाम से ही जाना जाता है।</p>


राजधानी जयपुर में मांगलिक और शुभ कार्यों के लिए स्वयं सिद्ध अबूझ मुहूर्त जानकी नवमी का पर्व आज विभिन्न योगों में मनाया जा रहा है। राजधानी जयपुर में चांदपोल स्थित रामचन्द्र मंदिर में सालभर में एक बार होने वाले सीताजी के चरणों के विशेष दर्शन का भक्तों को मौका मिलेगा। 

महंत नरेद्र तिवाड़ी ने बताया कि 101 किलो दूध से अभिषेक, 21 तोपों के सलामी के बीच संध्या आरती होगी। विशेष फूलों के बंगले में ठकुरानी विराजेंगी। इससे पहले सुबह 11 बजे पंचामृत अभिषेक के बाद रजवाड़े के दौर के आभूषण और राजसी जामा आदि से माता जानकी का शृंगार किया गया। 

रामचंद्र मन्दिर में दोपहर दो बजे जन्म आरती के बाद पंजीरी व पंचामृत का वितरण होगा। शाम सात बजे संध्या आरती होगी। रामदरबार को आम, तरबूज, खरबूजा, फालसा, अनार व बील आदि फलों के साथ ही चौगुनी के लड्डुओं का भोग लगाया जाएगा।

मंदिर श्री सीताराम जी छोटी चौपड़ में माता सीता जन्मोत्सव महंत नंदकिशोर महाराज के सानिध्य में धूमधाम से मनाया जा रहा है। यहां भी 299 वर्ष पुरानी परंपरा के अनुसार पूरे साल में जानकी नवमी के दिन ही माता जानकी जी के श्रीचरणों के दर्शन श्रद्धालु जनों को कराए जाते हैं। 

मंदिर प्रवक्ता विमल शर्मा ने बताया कि 21 हवाई गर्जनाओं के बीच दोपहर 1:30 बजे माता जानकी की जन्म आरती की गई। नवीन पोशाक धारण कराकर नख से शिख तक शृंगार किया जाएगा। इसके अलावा लाडली जी मंदिर में महंत संजय गोस्वामी व आनंदकृष्ण बिहारी मंदिर में पुजारी मातृप्रसाद शर्मा के सान्निध्य में कार्यक्रम हो रहा है।

<p>कलक्टर किशोर कुमार, एसपी ज्येष्ठा मैत्रेयी सहित अन्य अधिकारियों ने सोसायटी में पहुंचकर लोगों को किसी भी हमले के दौरान राहत एवं बचाव के उपाय बताए। हमले में किस तरह अपनी सुरक्षा की जाए, ऊंची इमारतों से किस तरह बाहर निकला जाए, इसके बारे में बताया। समझाया कि हमले के दौरान बिजली आपूर्ति बाधित हो सकती है, इसलिए लिफ्ट का उपयोग नहीं करना चाहिए। सीढिय़ों से उतरें और सीढ़ी उतरते समय जल्दबाजी नहीं करें। जो बुजुर्ग सीढिय़ों से नहीं उतर सकते, उन्हें हाइड्रोलिक के जरिए उतारकर रिहर्सल किया गया। हमले से इमारतों को नुकसान पहुंचता है, जिससे आमजन को खतरा रहता है।</p>
