
<p><strong>Rajasthan New DGP:</strong> U.R. Sahoo, the Director General of Police (DGP) of Rajasthan, has been appointed as the new chairman of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) by the state government. This has left the DGP&#8217;s post vacant, sparking a race for the position. IPS officer Rajiv Sharma is considered a frontrunner. Sharma currently heads the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD). Other contenders for the DGP post include Sanjay Agrawal, Rajesh Nirvan, and Govind Gupta.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Who is Rajiv Sharma?</h2>



<p>Originally from Uttar Pradesh, Rajiv Sharma has served extensively on deputation with the central government. In Rajasthan, he has served as Superintendent of Police in Jhalawar, Dausa, Rajsamand, Jaipur Traffic, Bharatpur, and Jaipur. He has also held the post of Inspector General (IG) in Bharatpur and Bikaner. He has also served as the Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and held various responsibilities, including the post of Joint Director in the CBI.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Rajiv Sharma&#8217;s Educational Qualifications</h2>



<p>Rajiv Sharma is a 1990 batch IPS officer. According to information on the Rajasthan Personnel Department website, he holds an MA and an MPhil. His home district is Mathura.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Selection Process for DGP</h2>



<p>The state government has sent a panel of officers of the rank of Director General to the Union Ministry of Personnel for the selection of the new DGP. As per the rules, a maximum of 10 names can be sent in the panel. Only those officers with more than 30 years of experience in police service and who express their willingness are considered. The Ministry of Personnel will forward the state government&#8217;s panel to the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Based on this, the UPSC will, considering seniority and service records, send back the names of three eligible officers of the DG rank to the state government for selection. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma can appoint any one of these three as the DGP.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Two-Year Tenure</h2>



<p>Rajiv Sharma is due to retire in March of the following year. If appointed DGP, he would serve a full two-year term, at least until July 2027.</p>

Israel-Iran war: 2 Indian students injured in Israeli strike, India to rescue 10,000 Indians


<p><strong>Israel-Iran Conflict:</strong> The ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran continues unabated for the fourth consecutive day. The recent clashes between the two countries are now taking the shape of a larger regional conflict. So far, 224 Iranian and 15 Israeli lives have been lost in this conflict. The escalating violence in the war has not only caused global concern but also created a dangerous situation for Indians in Iran.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">10,000 Indians Stranded in Iran</h2>



<p>Approximately 10,000 Indian citizens are currently stranded in Iran. A large number of these are Indian students pursuing medical and religious education at various Iranian institutions. Amidst the Israel-Iran conflict, the Indian government is about to launch a special rescue operation to bring these Indians back safely.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Operation to Evacuate Indian Citizens</h2>



<p>The Indian government has stated that the Iranian government has also agreed to safely repatriate foreign nationals. Accordingly, Indians will be evacuated via Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, and Afghanistan. The Indian embassy and other agencies have been activated in the border regions for this purpose.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Two Kashmiri Students Injured</h2>



<p>Meanwhile, a worrying incident has come to light. An attack took place near the international students&#8217; hostel at the University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, injuring two Indian students. Both students are from Kashmir. Following the attack, the university administration has relocated these students to Ramsar city for security reasons.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Indian Embassy in Contact with Local Administration</h2>



<p>The Indian embassy is constantly in touch with the local administration, and special surveillance is being maintained for the safety of Indian citizens. The Ministry of External Affairs has clarified that the situation is being closely monitored and additional flights will be arranged if necessary.</p>



<p>Experts say that if this war continues for much longer, its impact could be felt across the entire West Asian region. This could create a challenging situation for countries like India, where a large number of citizens are studying or working abroad.</p>



<p>The Indian government has appealed to its citizens to maintain peace, not pay attention to rumours, and remain in contact with the Indian embassy at all times. Detailed information about the rescue operation will be shared from time to time.</p>

<p><strong>Iran-Israel Conflict:</strong> The military conflict between Iran and Israel is escalating. Israel targeted over 170 locations and 720 military infrastructures in Iran. 20 Iranian military officers and several senior scientists were killed. Approximately 400 civilians died, and over 250 Iranian citizens were injured. In retaliation, Iran attacked Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Iran claimed to have also targeted the Israeli Ministry of Defence. 14 Israeli citizens were killed in the Iranian attacks, with 390 injured.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Mediation Offer Rejected</h2>



<p>Iran rejected mediation offers from Oman and Qatar. Leaders of both countries are speaking of war. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu (Netanyahu) has vowed to continue attacks. Iran&#8217;s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has promised a strong response.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">US Embassy Issues Security Alert</h2>



<p>The US embassy in Baghdad, Iraq, issued a security alert. The embassy advised all US citizens in Iraq to avoid locations frequented by foreigners, and any large gatherings or crowded areas. The embassy stated that foreign terrorist organisations may attack in Iraq.</p>

<p>Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Iran sought to assassinate US President Donald Trump. He said Iran viewed Trump as a threat to its nuclear programme. Trump never showed leniency towards Iran; he did what was right and prevented Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. This is why Iran considers him their number one enemy. Netanyahu claimed that through the Axis of Resistance, Iran planned to assassinate Trump twice, but their plans failed.</p>



<p>Netanyahu added that Trump withdrew from a flawed agreement with Iran, eliminated IRGC commander Qassem Soleimani, and made it abundantly clear that Iran should not possess nuclear weapons. He was extremely firm; therefore, he is enemy number one for Iran.</p>

<p>US President Donald Trump expressed hope that Israel and Iran could reach an agreement, but added that sometimes countries have to fight first. We will continue to support Israel. He further stated that Iran should agree to a nuclear deal.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Drone Factory Discovered Within Iran</h2>



<p>According to the Iranian news agency Tasnim, the Iranian military has discovered a three-story Israeli drone factory within the country. Iranian officials have stated that more such factories may exist. Israel used these factories to target Iranian nuclear and military installations last Friday. Iran has told mediating Qatar and Oman that there will be no ceasefire as long as Israel continues its attacks.</p>

<p>An incident involving a brandished revolver occurred when CNG station employees, adhering to safety protocols, requested the occupants of a car to exit the vehicle during refuelling. A young woman in the car reacted angrily, and during the ensuing argument, she pointed a licensed revolver at an employee&#8217;s chest. A video of this incident quickly went viral on social media.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Asked to Exit Before CNG Refuelling</h2>



<p>The incident involves Ariba, daughter of Ehsan Khan, residing in Mohalla Gigiani, Shahabad area, who had come with her family to refuel their CNG. Rajneesh, a petrol pump employee, stated that all passengers were asked to exit the vehicle to ensure their safety. The occupants of the car became enraged and started arguing. Ariba then angrily pulled out her revolver and threatened to kill the employee. She reportedly said, &#8220;I will shoot you so many times that you will be unrecognisable.&#8221;</p>

<p>All the employees present were frightened and panicked by the incident. A person intervened and managed to take the young woman away. The video of this entire incident is now viral on the internet, creating a tense atmosphere in the area.</p>

<p>The Superintendent of Police of Hardoi, Neeraj Jadoun, stated that a written complaint and video evidence have been received from the victim. Based on this, a case has been registered against the accused young woman, Ariba, under relevant sections of the IPC. The police say that, considering the seriousness of the matter, legal action is being taken and the investigation is ongoing.</p>


<p>A sensational incident has come to light in Hardoi, where a young woman threatened an employee at a petrol pump in the Bilgram police station area with a revolver. This occurred over a minor issue. The CCTV footage of the incident is rapidly going viral.</p>

<p><strong>Heavy Rain Alert:</strong> Amidst fluctuating weather across the country, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for heavy rain, strong winds, and hailstorms until 20 June. Several states in North India, Northeast India, South India, and Central India will be affected. Red and orange alerts have been issued for some areas.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Pleasant Weather in Delhi-NCR, Rain Likely for 6 Days</h2>



<p>Delhi experienced a change in weather on Sunday morning. Heavy rain and thunderstorms brought relief from the intense heat. The meteorological department has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms and rain in Delhi for six days. On Sunday, Delhi&#8217;s maximum temperature was recorded at 36°C and the minimum temperature at 20°C. A further drop is expected in the coming days.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Red Alert in Bihar, Rajasthan</h2>



<p>A red alert has been issued for Bihar and Rajasthan in view of heavy rain and strong winds. North Bihar, in particular, has been warned of heavy rain and lightning from 15 to 20 June. Meanwhile, the eastern parts of Rajasthan are expected to experience thunderstorms and torrential rain in the coming days.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Strong Winds and Rain in Haryana-Punjab and Hill States</h2>



<p>Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh in North India are on alert for rain with thunder and lightning from 16 to 21 June. Hailstorms are also expected in northern Haryana on 16 June. Wind speeds could reach 70 km per hour in parts of Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Heavy Rainfall Warning in South India</h2>



<p>Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh are likely to experience heavy rain with lightning and strong winds from 16 to 19 June. Widespread rainfall is expected in Kerala and Mahe.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Northeast and East India Also Affected</h2>



<p>An alert has been issued for heavy to very heavy rainfall in Guwahati for the next two to three days. The Assam State Disaster Management Authority has warned of waterlogging, traffic disruption, and the possibility of landslides in some vulnerable areas. Furthermore, heavy rain and lightning are possible in Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Sikkim.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Heavy Rainfall Predicted for Konkan, Maharashtra, Gujarat</h2>



<p>Between 18 and 21 June, there is a likelihood of thunderstorms in parts of Konkan, Goa, central Maharashtra, and Gujarat. Due to the active monsoon, waterlogging and traffic disruption are possible in these areas.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Monsoon&#8217;s Progress and Next Stages</h2>



<p>The meteorological department has also stated that the monsoon is now advancing rapidly. It is expected to reach Raipur, Chhattisgarh, by 17 June. An orange alert has been issued for several parts of Chhattisgarh.</p>

<p><strong>Census 2027:</strong> The Indian government announced on Monday, 16 June 2025, that the country&#8217;s next census will be conducted in 2027. This will be the first census since 2011 and will include a caste census for the first time since 1931. The notification was issued by the Registrar General and Census Commissioner, Mritunjay Kumar Narayan, under the Ministry of Home Affairs.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Census to be Conducted in Two Phases</h2>



<p>The notification stated that the reference date for the census will be 1 March 2027. However, for the snow-bound and inaccessible areas of Ladakh and Himalayan states (such as Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand), the reference date will be midnight on 1 October 2026.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Know the Census Process</h2>



<p><strong>Phase 1: House Listing Operation (HLO)</strong><br>This phase will collect information on the physical condition, property, amenities, and infrastructure of each house.</p>

<p>This massive census operation will employ approximately 3.4 million enumerators and supervisors, and 130,000 administrative officials. Notably, this census will be conducted through a digital platform, utilising a mobile application and offering self-enumeration facilities.</p>

<p>Home Minister Amit Shah reviewed the census preparations, emphasizing the importance of data security. Stringent security measures will be ensured during data collection, transmission, and storage to prevent any misuse of information.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Long-Standing Demand for Caste Census</h2>



<p>There has been a long-standing demand for a caste census at both social and political levels. The 2027 census will provide the country with official caste data for the first time, enabling the formulation of better policies and schemes for various sections of society.</p>


<p>The Union Home Ministry on Monday issued a gazette notification announcing that the Census will be conducted in 2027. This ethnic census will be conducted in two phases. The process will commence on 1 October 2026.</p>

India's 2027 Census to Proceed in Two Phases


<p>Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has announced good news for Rajasthan. The central government has approved ₹1914.71 crore for 40 road projects in the state. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for this.</p>



<p>This amount has been sanctioned for 40 state road projects spanning 1000 kilometres. These include 31 major district roads, 8 state highways, and one other district road.</p>



<p>Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, announced on social media that ₹1914.71 crore has been approved for 40 state road projects totalling 1000.90 kilometres under the Central Road Infrastructure Fund (CRIF).</p>



<p>These projects primarily involve strengthening and widening sections of various state roads (31 major district roads, 8 state highways, and 1 other district road). This will improve road connectivity and ensure smoother travel across different parts of Rajasthan.</p>

<p><strong>NEET Counselling 2025:</strong> The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the results of the NEET UG exam. The counselling process for admission to all medical colleges will begin soon. Counselling is conducted separately under the All India quota and state quotas. Under the All India quota, admissions are made to 15% of medical and dental colleges across the country. For the remaining 85% of seats, each state will release its own counselling schedule separately.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Two New Medical Colleges to Commence Studies</h2>



<p>During counselling, students who passed the exam must register and fill in their college choices. The selection of a medical college must be done carefully, according to rank. The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) will soon begin the registration process for admission to 85% of medical and dental seats in Bihar. This year, there is a possibility of two new medical colleges commencing studies in Bihar. Admissions are expected to begin in the new medical colleges in Saran and Samastipur.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">1490 MBBS Seats in Bihar</h2>



<p>The state has a total of 1490 MBBS and 140 BDS seats. All government MBBS and BDS colleges combined have a total of 1630 seats. 15% of these seats are filled under the All India quota, while 85% are filled under the state quota.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Number of Seats in Bihar Colleges</h2>



<p>With an increase of 200 MBBS seats, the total number of seats in medical colleges in the state will be 1690. Currently, there are 200 seats in PMC, 120 in DMC Laheriasarai, 120 in Bhagalpur, 150 in NMC Patna, 120 in Muzaffarpur, 120 in Gaya, 120 in IGIMS Patna, 120 in GMC Bettiah, 120 in VIMS Pawapuri, 100 in Madhepura, 100 in ESIC Medical College, Bihta, 100 in GMC Purnia, 40 in Patna Dental College, and 100 in Rahui Dental College.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Admission to 706 Medical Colleges</h2>



<p>Admission to medical colleges across the country is granted through the NEET UG exam. This course provides admission to MBBS, BDS, Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), etc. Currently, there are 706 medical colleges across the country with 1,15,812 MBBS seats.</p>


<p>NTA has released the results of the NEET UG examination. The counselling process for admission to all medical colleges will begin shortly. This year, there is a possibility of two new medical colleges commencing studies in Bihar.</p>

Another Kantara 2 Actor Rishab Shetty Cheats Death in Near-Fatal Set Accident

<p><strong>Kantara 2:</strong> The sequel to the film ‘Kantara’, ‘Kantara 2’, is coming soon. Filming has already begun, but accidents are occurring daily on the film set. Just the other day, a mimicry artist suffered a heart attack during shooting and died. Prior to this, another artist died on set. A few days earlier, a bus carrying 30 people was involved in an accident. Once again, a major accident occurred during the shooting of Kantara 2; a boat carrying 30 crew members capsized, endangering lives. Actor Rishab Shetty was also in the boat.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Boat capsizes during Shooting</h2>



<p>According to reports, the shooting of ‘Kantara 2’ was taking place in the Mani reservoir in the Masti Katte area of Shivamogga district. A scene was being shot when 30 people, including Rishab Shetty, who were on board a boat, fell into the water. The boat suddenly capsized. However, everyone is safe and there are no reports of anyone being injured. The actor and 30 crew members were safely rescued and given medical check-ups.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Shetty including 30 crew members escape a boat mishap</h2>



<p>Although everyone was safe in the boat capsizing incident, expensive camera equipment and other shooting gear were swept away in the water. The police say a major tragedy was averted. It is not yet fully known what other items are missing besides the camera. An investigation into the matter is underway. A senior crew member said, “The water was shallow, so everyone escaped. We think the divine spirits blessed us.”</p>

<p>Regarding the release of the film Kantara 2, Shetty&#8217;s film is slated to be released in theatres on 2 October 2025. Fans are quite happy about this, but if such accidents continue to occur on the shooting set, the film&#8217;s release may be delayed.</p>

Lufthansa Boeing 787-9 Makes U-Turn Landing in Frankfurt After Bomb Threat


<p>A Lufthansa Airlines flight from Frankfurt, Germany, to Hyderabad was denied landing permission in Hyderabad after a bomb threat. The aircraft was turned back to Frankfurt mid-flight and landed back in Frankfurt two hours after takeoff.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Landing Permission Denied</h2>



<p>Lufthansa Airlines told news agency ANI that they were not granted permission for the landing in Hyderabad; therefore, the aircraft was returned to Frankfurt. The Hyderabad Airport Authority told ANI that the bomb threat was received while the aircraft was outside Indian airspace. Therefore, the flight could not enter Indian airspace and returned to its origin.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Aircraft in Bulgarian Airspace</h2>



<p>According to flight tracking data, the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft took off from Frankfurt at 6 PM on Sunday.<br>The aircraft was scheduled to land at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad, at approximately 1:30 AM on Monday. The aircraft was recalled when a bomb threat was received while it was in Bulgarian airspace. However, investigations revealed the bomb threat to be a hoax. Earlier, an Air India flight from Phuket, Thailand, to Delhi received a bomb threat, resulting landed back in Phuket.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Airlines Exercising Extreme Caution</h2>



<p>Airlines are exercising extreme caution following the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The Thursday crash claimed 297 lives. The aircraft crashed shortly after taking off from Ahmedabad airport. There were 242 people on board, with only one survivor. Several people in the building that the plane struck also lost their lives.</p>

<p>Rajasthan High Court Driver Recruitment 2025: The High Court, State and District Legal Services Authorities, and subordinate courts will recruit a total of 58 drivers. This includes 5 positions reserved for women drivers.</p>



<p>The application process will be online, commencing on Wednesday of this week and running until 7 July. The High Court will recruit 25 drivers, including 5 women. <p>इंदौर के ट्रांसपोर्ट कारोबारी राजा रघुवंशी की हत्या उसकी पत्नी सोनम ने अपने कथित प्रेमी व अन्य के साथ मिलकर की थी। कुछ इसी तरह की सनसनीखेज वारदात खेरली कस्बे में भी हुई है। फर्क सिर्फ इतना है कि सोनम ने शादी के बाद पति को अपने कथित प्रेमी व उसके साथियों के साथ मिलकर मारा, तो वहीं खेरली की अनिता राज नाम ने उस युवक की हत्या करवा दी, जिसके साथ वह लिव-इन-रिलेशनशिप में रह रही थी। अनिता अपने पति को पहले ही छोड़ चुकी थी। लिव-इन-रिलेशनशिप में रहते हुए उसके एक अन्य युवक से अवैध संबंध बन गए। इन अवैध संबंधों में बाधा बने युवक की अनिता ने अपने कथित प्रेमी व उसके चार अन्य दोस्तों के साथ गला दबाकर हत्या कर दी। </p>
<p>खेरली. कस्बे के बाइपास रोड पर वार्ड नंबर 19 में गत 8 जून को मिले शव की गुत्थी पुलिस ने सुलझा ली है। मृतक का नाम मानङ्क्षसह उर्फ वीरू जाटव पुत्र शिवचरण जाटव है। मानङ्क्षसह उर्फ वीरू अपनी पत्नी व दो बच्चों को छोडकऱ अनिता राज नाम की महिला के साथ लिव-इन-रिलेशनशिप में रहता था। अनिता के एक अन्य युवक काशी से भी अवैध संबंध थे। मानङ्क्षसह उर्फ वीरू इससे खफा रहता था। इसी बात पर अनिता ने अपने कथित प्रेमी काशी और उसके चार दोस्तों के साथ मिलकर मानङ्क्षसह उर्फ वीरू की गला दबाकर हत्या कर दी। पुलिस ने अनिता, उसके कथित प्रेमी काशी व अन्य आरोपी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है। तीन आरोपी फरार हैं।<br />
खेरली थाना अधिकारी धीरेंद्र गुर्जर ने बताया कि मृतक मानङ्क्षसह उर्फ वीरू की दो पत्नियां हैं। इनमें एक के साथ उसकी बकायदा शादी हुई थी और दूसरी कथित पत्नी अनिता राज के साथ वह लिव-इन में रहता था।<br />
अनिता ने 7 जून की रात अपने कथित प्रेमी काशी के साथ मिलकर मानङ्क्षसह उर्फ वीरू की हत्या कर दी। दो लाख रुपए की सुपारी देकर काशी ने अपने चार साथियों को हत्या करने के लिए बुलाया था। मानङ्क्षसह उर्फ वीरू का शव 8 जून को संदिग्ध अवस्था में मिला था।<br />
पहले मानङ्क्षसह उर्फ वीरू के घर में किराए पर रहती थी अनिता: अनिता का पहला विवाह भरतपुर जिले के भुसावर क्षेत्र के सेंदली गांव में हुआ था। विवाह के कुछ समय बाद वह पति को खेरली ले आई और पति को अपने पक्ष में कर सास-ससुर एवं अन्य परिजनों पर मुकदमा दर्ज करा दिया। उसका पति फलों की ठेली लगाता था। यहां अनिता की मुलाकात मानङ्क्षसह उर्फ वीरू से हुई और अनिता व उसके पति मानङ्क्षसह उर्फ वीरू के घर किराए पर रहने आ गए। इसी दौरान मानङ्क्षसह उर्फ वीरू के अनिता के साथ अवैध संबंध बन गए। टोका-टाकी करने पर अनिता ने अपने पति को छोड़ दिया।<br />
मानङ्क्षसह उर्फ वीरू ने उसे दूसरा घर दिला दिया और उसके साथ रहने लगा। इस बीच अनिता के काशी के साथ अवैध संबंध बन गए और वह उसके साथ रहना चाहती थी। मृतक वीरू के पहली पत्नी से दो एवं आरोपी अनिता से एक संतान है।<br />

मानङ्क्षसह उर्फ वीरू जाटव पुत्र शिवचरण जाटव की दूसरी पत्नी अनिता राज के अवैध संबंध काशी पुत्र फूलचंद प्रजापत के साथ थे। कथित प्रेम प्रसंग का यह सिलसिला करीब चार वर्षों से चल रहा था। करीब एक साल पहले इसकी भनक मानङ्क्षसह उर्फ वीरू जाटव को लगी, तो उसने पत्नी अनिता और उसके कथित प्रेमी काशी से मारपीट की थी। तभी से अनिता और काशी उससे रंजिश रखते थे।<br />
आरोपियों ने ऐसे दिया हत्या की वारदात को अंजाम</p>
<p>काशी ने 2 लाख रुपए की सुपारी देकर अपने चार साथियों को बुलाया और 7 जून की रात शराब पार्टी में मानङ्क्षसह उर्फ वीरू की हत्या की साजिश रची। उसी रात काशी ने अनिता से कहा कि तुम देर रात घर तक दरवाजा खुला रखना। रात करीब दो बजे काशी अपने चार साथियों के साथ बाइक से मानङ्क्षसह उर्फ वीरू के घर पहुंचा और अनिता के साथ मिलकर मानङ्क्षसह उर्फ वीरू की गला दबाकर हत्या कर दी। रात करीब तीन बजे काशी अपने साथियों के साथ वहां से चला गया। जाते समय काशी ने अनिता से कहा कि तुम लोगों के सामने ऐसा व्यवहार करना, जैसे तुमको इस घटना के बारे में पता नहीं हो। अनिता ने ऐसा ही किया। उसने मानङ्क्षसह उर्फ वीरू की पहली पत्नी के पुत्र को फोन कर कहा कि तुम्हारे पिता बीमार हैं। इसके बाद अनिता व अन्य परिजन मानङ्क्षसह उर्फ वीरू को अस्पताल ले गए, जहां चिकित्सकों ने उसे मृत घोषित कर दिया। काशी भी अस्पताल पहुंचा और दुख प्रकट करते हुए शव को जल्दी घर ले जाने की बात करने लगा। मृतक मानङ्क्षसह उर्फ वीरू के भाई ने हत्या की आशंका जताते हुए शव को घर ले जाने से इनकार कर दिया और पुलिस को सूचना दे दी। इस बीच काशी वहां से चला गया। इस संबंध में पुलिस ने मृतक मानङ्क्षसह उर्फ वीरू के भाई की रिपोर्ट पर हत्या का मामला दर्ज करते हुए मानङ्क्षसह उर्फ वीरू की पत्नी अनिता, उसके कथित प्रेमी काशी व अन्य आरोपी बृजेश को गिरफ्तार कर लिया। तीन अन्य आरोपी अभी फरार हैं।</p>
