<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Educational Qualifications and Age Limit</h2>



<p>Applicants must possess a graduation degree and a B.Ed in the relevant subject. The minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 40 years. Reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations. Age will be calculated as of 1 January 2026.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to Apply</h2>



<p>To apply, candidates must first log in to the SSO portal and complete the One Time Registration (OTR).<br>Then, go to the recruitment portal and fill out the application form. The application process will be complete after uploading all necessary documents and paying the fee.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Application Fee</h2>



<p>The application fee for General and OBC candidates is ₹600. For SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS, and differently-abled candidates, the fee is ₹400. A fee of ₹500 will be charged for application corrections. Corrections can be made within 10 days of the application deadline.</p>

<p>The US President Donald Trump has once again made it clear that he will not reduce the 50 per cent tariff imposed on India.</p>



<p>Along with this, he has also levelled serious accusations against Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.</p>

<p>In a social media post, Trump wrote that the big question is whether Chinese President Xi Jinping will mention the &#8216;blood&#8217; that America gave to help China secure its independence from a very unfriendly foreign invader.</p>



<p>Trump further wrote that many Americans were martyred to secure China&#8217;s victory. &#8220;I hope they will be given due respect and remembrance for their courage and sacrifice! May this day be great and unforgettable for President Xi and the wonderful people of China,&#8221; he added.</p>



<p>Trump also stated, &#8220;Please also convey my best wishes to Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un, as you are conspiring against America.&#8221;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Trump&#8217;s Stance on Tariffs</h2>



<p>Regarding the 50 per cent tariff imposed on Indian imports, Trump stated that the trade relationship between India and the US had been completely one-sided for several decades. He asserted that he is not considering reducing the tariffs on India.</p>



<p>When a journalist asked Trump if he was considering removing some of the tariffs imposed on India, he replied, &#8216;No&#8217;.</p>



<p>He explained, &#8220;You have to understand that for many years, our relationship with India has been one-sided. India was charging us very high tariffs, among the highest in the world.&#8221;</p>

<p>Parts of Punjab are submerged in floodwaters, resulting in at least 30 fatalities. A significant portion of the state is grappling with the difficulties and damage caused by water inundating fields and homes.</p>



<p>Official figures indicate that the floods have severely impacted 23 districts in Punjab, affecting over 1,400 villages and more than 350,000 people. Pathankot has reported the highest number of deaths with six, followed by Ludhiana with four. Three individuals remain missing in Pathankot.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Red Alert Issued for Eight Districts</h2>



<p>Amidst the devastation caused by the floods, a red alert has been issued for eight districts in Punjab due to heavy rainfall. The districts under red alert are Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Nawanshahr, Jalandhar, Rupnagar, Fatehgarh Sahib, and Ludhiana.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Gurdaspur Worst Affected</h2>



<p>Gurdaspur is the worst-affected district, with 324 villages submerged, followed by Amritsar (135 villages) and Hoshiarpur (119 villages). The floods have damaged 148,590 hectares of crops, severely impacting the state&#8217;s agricultural sector.</p>



<p>Rescue and relief operations are underway, with 19,597 people evacuated from affected areas. Gurdaspur alone saw the evacuation of 5,581 people, followed by Firozpur (3,432) and Amritsar (2,734).</p>



<p>A total of 174 relief camps have been set up, with 74 currently active. These include 29 in Barnala, 16 in Amritsar, and 14 in Pathankot.</p>



<p>The NDRF has deployed 23 teams across various districts, including six each in Gurdaspur and Amritsar, and three each in Firozpur and Fazilka.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Three Armed Forces Units Deployed</h2>



<p>The Indian Air Force, Navy, and Army have deployed 12 units, including eight on standby and two engineer units. Additionally, 30-35 helicopters are assisting in rescue and relief efforts.</p>



<p>The Border Security Force (BSF) and SDRF are also deployed on the ground, with two SDRF teams in Kapurthala and one BSF team in Gurdaspur. A total of 114 boats and one government helicopter are assisting in the operations.</p>



<p>A local resident from Firozpur stated, “Our village is heavily flooded. Some people are still there, some have come here, while others are in camps set up elsewhere. Our livestock are here, and we are managing their food. The government is arranging rations and food for our animals.”</p>

Jodhpur: RSS national meeting to host over 300 people from 32 organizations including BJP and ABVP


<p><strong>Jodhpur.</strong> Over 300 national-level officials from 32 organisations inspired by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will participate in the Akhil Bharatiya Samanvay Baithak scheduled from 5 to 7 September. Officials from various organisations will start arriving from Wednesday night.</p>



<p>For the first time in a coordination meeting, a new initiative will be seen where senior volunteers from the same organisations at the city and provincial level have been given the responsibility of bringing their all-India level officials from the airport and railway station to the meeting venue.</p>

<p><strong>Jaipur</strong>: There is still a month left for Dussehra and more than one and a half months for the five-day Deepotsav festival. Yet, decorative gates have already started appearing in some city markets. A Patrika reporter investigated the gates, which are supposed to be installed only with prior municipal approval, and uncovered the truth.</p>



<p>Posing as a trader, the reporter spoke to the mela (fair) organisers. Without hesitation, they demanded ₹50,000, stating, “Don’t worry about the corporation; we’ll take care of that.” In Vidhyadhar Nagar, gates are being erected using bamboo and poles under the guise of the Dussehra mela, without any permission.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How the Scam Was Exposed: Office Address Revealed</h2>

<li><strong>Reporter:</strong> Our company is opening a new showroom in Vidhyadhar Nagar; we need gates for publicity.</li>



<li><strong>Mela Committee Official:</strong> We will be putting up 31 gates in the Vidhyadhar Nagar area.</li>



<li><strong>Reporter:</strong> We need 15 gates. What is the cost per gate?</li>



<li><strong>Official:</strong> You can get them. You can put your advertisement on the top part of the gate. On the other side, there will be a photo of Madam and an advertisement for the Dussehra mela. Photos of our workers will also be included. One gate will cost ₹50,000 for one month.</li>



<li><strong>Reporter:</strong> To avoid any problems with publicity, please send the permission from the corporation; we will get approval from the office.</li>



<li><strong>Mela Committee Official:</strong> We have permission from the corporation. No tax will be deducted. We will give you a written statement that we are fully responsible for the gates. Our logo will be displayed during the publicity, and we will get the matter approved from you.</li>

<p>At Ambabari Circle, safety measures were completely ignored during the erection of the gates. While one worker was tying bamboo, another section was hanging in the air. When it rained, the worker descended, leaving a section of bamboo hanging precariously in the air, while vehicles continued to move below.</p>

<p>Rajasthan Weather Update: <strong>Jaipur.</strong> The monsoon has been benevolent in Rajasthan this year, with several districts experiencing continuous heavy rainfall. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued another significant alert. According to the department, rainfall activity will intensify in the eastern and southeastern parts of the state from 3<sup>rd</sup>, 4<sup>th</sup>, and 5<sup>th</sup> September. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is predicted in parts of Udaipur, Kota, Ajmer, and Bharatpur divisions.</p>



<p>The Meteorological Department states that the low-pressure area over the North Bay of Bengal and the circulation system over the state will cause the rainfall to intensify. This will directly impact several districts in Rajasthan. Local administration and the public in areas predicted to receive heavy rainfall have been advised to remain vigilant.</p>



<p>Furthermore, the Meteorological Department has predicted increased rainfall activity in Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions of western Rajasthan between 5<sup>th</sup> and 7<sup>th</sup> September. Therefore, it can be said that the beginning of September will be quite wet for Rajasthan.</p>

<p><strong>🔷</strong> A low-pressure area persists over the North Bay of Bengal and is expected to move west-north-west in the next 24 hours. A circulation system remains over the northern parts of the state and Haryana.</p>



<p><strong>🔷</strong> Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in parts of Bharatpur, Jaipur, Kota divisions, and Shekhawati region today, with light to moderate rainfall in other areas.</p>



<p><strong>🔷</strong> An increase in heavy rainfall activity is expected in the eastern and southeastern parts from 3<sup>rd</sup> September. <p><strong>Trump tariff:</strong> Tensions continue between India and America over tariffs. The Trump administration has imposed a 50% tariff on India. India has clearly stated that it will not compromise its strategic autonomy. Meanwhile, the two countries have come together on the front of military exercises. The armies of India and America are about to conduct a significant joint military exercise in the United States. This exercise will involve both countries&#8217; armies practicing modern warfare, including the use and countermeasures of unmanned aerial systems.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Battalion of the Madras Regiment Deployed to the US</h2>



<p>An Indian military contingent has arrived in Alaska, USA, to participate in ‘Yudh Abhyas 2025’. According to the Ministry of Defence, a unit of the Indian Army has departed for Fort Wainwright, Alaska. The exercise will run from the 1<sup>st</sup> to the 14<sup>th</sup> of September.</p>



<p>The Ministry of Defence states that this is the 21<sup>st</sup> edition of the joint military exercise ‘Yudh Abhyas 2025’ between India and the United States. According to the Ministry of Defence, the Indian military contingent participating in this exercise comprises personnel selected from a battalion of the Madras Regiment.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">US Army’s Arctic Wolves Brigade Combat Team to Participate</h2>



<p>From the US side, personnel and officers from the 1<sup>st</sup> Battalion, 5<sup>th</sup> Infantry Regiment “Bobcats”, 11<sup>th</sup> Airborne Division of the Arctic Wolves Brigade Combat Team will participate. During the two-week exercise, soldiers will practice various strategic war games and skills. These include heliborne operations, the use of surveillance resources and unmanned aerial systems. The Indo-US joint military exercise will also include practice in rock craft and mountain warfare skills, casualty evacuation and battlefield medical assistance.</p>



<p>The integrated use of artillery, aviation and electronic warfare systems is also included in this exercise. In addition, specialist officers from both armies will discuss important topics through joint task forces. These topics include the operation of unmanned aerial systems and counter-unmanned aerial systems, information warfare, communication systems and logistics management. The exercise will conclude with jointly planned and executed strategic war games, with a special emphasis on live fire exercises, high-altitude combat scenarios and preparation for United Nations peacekeeping operations.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Objective of the Exercise</h2>



<p>The main objective of ‘Yudh Abhyas 2025’ is to strengthen mutual cooperation and interoperability between the two armies and to make preparations for tackling multi-domain challenges more effective. It is noteworthy that India is currently also conducting an exercise in Egypt. This is a multilateral joint military exercise.</p>



<p>Various countries&#8217; armies are participating in this exercise, called ‘Bright Star 2025’, including an Indian military contingent. The ‘Bright Star’ exercise was jointly initiated by Egypt and the United States in 1980. It is considered the largest tri-service multilateral exercise in the West Asia and North Africa region.</p>

<p>A 6.0 magnitude earthquake has caused devastation in Afghanistan. Jalalabad and the surrounding areas have been severely affected, resulting in significant loss of life and property. Several villages have been completely destroyed, with homes reduced to rubble and people left homeless. Roads have collapsed, and widespread panic ensued.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Death Toll Reaches 1,100</h2>



<p>The earthquake&#8217;s severity led to fears of substantial damage, and the death toll has now reached 1,100, according to a spokesperson from the Taliban government&#8217;s interior ministry.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Over 3,500 Injured</h2>



<p>The Taliban government&#8217;s interior ministry spokesperson also reported that over 3,500 people have been injured. The injured are receiving treatment at nearby hospitals, clinics, and medical centres. Many are in critical condition, raising concerns that the death toll may rise further.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">India Sends Aid</h2>



<p>India was among the first to offer assistance following the earthquake. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences and pledged all possible support. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar spoke with Afghan Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi about the situation. India has delivered 1,000 family tents and 15 tonnes of food supplies from Kabul to Kunar via the Indian mission. Jaishankar also indicated that further relief materials will be sent from India.</p>

<p>To facilitate devotees during Ganpati Visarjan (Anant Chaturdashi 2025), Central Railway and Western Railway have announced special midnight local trains. These trains will operate from CSMT (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus) to Kalyan, Thane, and Panvel, and between Churchgate and Virar. All trains will stop at every station.</p>



<p>The railway stated that special trains will run on the main line (CSMT-Kalyan/Thane) on 4/5 September (Thursday/Friday night), 5/6 September (Friday/Saturday night), and 6/7 September (Saturday/Sunday night). On the Harbour line, special services between CSMT and Panvel will only be available on the night of 6/7 September, the day of Ganpati Visarjan, to ease late-night travel for devotees.</p>

<p>The monsoon is being generous in Madhya Pradesh. Clouds brought heavy showers in the month of Sawan. Though the early days of Bhadon were dry, in the last five days, as the month draws to a close on 7 September, rains have returned. Due to monsoon trough activity, more than 26 districts witnessed heavy rainfall on Monday.</p>



<p>In Ratlam, heavy rains filled the Gholawad Dam, forcing officials to open three gates. As a result, Palsoda village went under water, and people were seen climbing onto rooftops.</p>



<p>According to the Meteorological Department, an alert for very heavy rain has been issued in Madhya Pradesh for the next 72 hours. For today, warnings of heavy showers have been given in 14 districts.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Good Rainfall Expected in September</h2>



<p>Bhopal also experienced intermittent rain since morning. According to the Meteorological Department, the state&#8217;s seasonal quota is 39 inches, of which 37.72 inches have already fallen. Bhopal has received 32.57 inches of rain so far against a quota of 43 inches, leaving a shortfall of 10.43 inches. The Meteorological Department predicts good rainfall in September. In Damoh, just two hours of rain after 11 days resulted in 2.8 inches of rainfall. Ratlam and Datia received 1.5 inches, Gwalior 0.75 inches, and Bhopal 0.5 inches. While the generous rainfall brought relief to many districts, it also caused problems in some areas.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Heavy Rainfall Warning for 14 Districts Today</h2>



<p>The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rain in 14 districts in the next 24 hours. These include Alirajpur, Jhabua, Ratlam, Ujjain, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Sheopurkalan, Sidhi, Rewa, Mauganj, Dindori, Seoni, Mandla, and Balaghat. These areas could receive 2.5 to 4.5 inches of rain in the next 24 hours. Other districts in the state are under an alert for thunderstorms and light rain.</p>

<p>According to the Meteorological Department&#8217;s report, an orange alert for extremely heavy rainfall has been issued for Barwani, Khargone, and Burhanpur in MP on 3 September. These areas could receive up to 8.5 inches of rain in the next 24 hours. A yellow alert for heavy rain has been issued for Neemuch, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Jhabua, Alirajpur, Dhar, Khandwa, Harda, Narmadapuram, Betul, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Sheopur, Morena, Seoni, Balaghat, Mandla, and Dindori.</p>

<p>According to the Meteorological Department, an orange alert for extremely heavy rainfall has been issued for Dewas, Khandwa, Khargone, and Barwani in MP on 4 September. A warning for heavy rain has been issued for Neemuch, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Ujjain, Agar-Malwa, Jhabua, Alirajpur, Burhanpur, Harda, Narmadapuram, Betul, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Seoni, Mandla, and Balaghat. Other districts in the state are under an alert for thunderstorms and light rain.</p>



<p>Conditions in the Indian and Pacific Oceans will keep several monsoon activities active in September. This suggests two or three spells of rain throughout the month, ensuring the state&#8217;s quota is met.</p>

<p>Robin Uthappa, who shared the dressing room with Gill at KKR, revealed that Indian Test captain Shubman Gill has been primarily selected for the Asia Cup 2025 team due to marketing and commercial considerations. After leading India brilliantly in the England Test series and establishing himself as a run machine in red-ball cricket, Gill has earned a place in the Indian T20I team.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">‘Promoting a Star Culture’</h2>



<p>Gill&#8217;s selection, especially as an opener, has surprised some, as the opening pair of Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma has been quite aggressive and strong. While BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar argued that Gill was India&#8217;s vice-captain in 2024 but didn&#8217;t get a chance due to workload in other formats, Uthappa countered this, stating that it is nothing but a continuation of BCCI&#8217;s promotion of a star culture.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Targeting the BCCI</h2>



<p>He stated that Indian cricket has always had superstars in every era, and they have supported specific players in the best interests of Indian cricket. I think this thinking is still at play. He further added, &#8220;I think marketing and commercial considerations also matter, which is why he has been brought into the team. You want some superstars to drive the game forward. Shubman will be one of them.&#8221;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Fourth Highest Run-Scorer in IPL 2025</h2>



<p>It is noteworthy that Shubman Gill had a stellar performance for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2025. He scored 650 runs in 15 matches, averaging 50 with a strike rate of 155.88, including six half-centuries. This performance made him the fourth-highest run-scorer in the tournament. If he was selected based on his IPL performance, then why was top scorer Sai Sudharsan overlooked?</p>
