
<p><strong>IBPS Clerk 2025:</strong> Important updates have been released regarding the IBPS Clerk recruitment exam. The application deadline has been extended. The online application deadline for the IBPS Clerk recruitment 2025 (now Customer Service Associate – CSA) was initially set for 21 August 2025. Applications can now be submitted until 28 August. Candidates who have not yet applied can do so on the official website as soon as possible. The deadline for fee payment and corrections is also 28 August. A total of 10,277 positions will be filled through this recruitment drive. The preliminary exam is scheduled for October 2025, and the main exam for November 2025.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">IBPS Clerk 2025: Educational Qualifications and Age Limit</h2>



<p>Applicants must possess a graduation degree from a recognised university. Regarding the age limit, candidates must be between 20 and 28 years of age (date of birth should not be before 2 August 1997 and after 1 August 2005). Reserved categories will receive age relaxations. SC/ST candidates will get a 5-year relaxation, and OBC candidates will get a 3-year relaxation. Knowledge of computers is mandatory. Candidates should possess a diploma/degree in computer operations/IT or have studied computers at the school/college level.</p>

<p>Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited Jodhpur on Monday. He inaugurated the Adarsh Defence and Sports Academy at the Vidya Bharati School, R K Damani National Revival and Education Centre, Hanwant Adarsh Vidya Mandir, Lalsagar.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Paid homage to the land of heroes</h2>



<p>Rajnath Singh said, &#8220;I bow to this heroic land of Rajasthan. The land of Rajasthan has given countless brave and valiant sons. Rajasthan is a land that sacrifices everything for honour. Since childhood, we have heard stories of its heroes. The heroes here have sacrificed themselves on the battlefield. He said that I have always had an attachment with Vidya Bharati. Vidya Bharati has worked in the direction of the thinking of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. Vidya Bharati is doing better work in this direction.&#8221;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Education, values, discipline and national service</h2>



<p>Prof. Narpat Singh Shekhawat, Vidya Bharati Jodhpur Provincial President, informed that this centre will be developed as an ideal model based on the values of education, values, discipline and national service. A hostel with a capacity of 400 students has been prepared here in the first phase, in which 200 students will be trained in the defence sector and 200 students in sports.</p>



<p>The entire project of this academy is approximately ₹110 crore. In the first phase, the sports academy has been constructed at a cost of about ₹30 crore, which has 125 rooms. Dr. Nirmal Gehlot, the project committee chairman, said that the dream of this scheme, which started in 2015, has been realised today and a new direction of nation-building will be set from Jodhpur.</p>


<p>The total project cost for the academy is approximately ₹110 crore. The first phase, costing around ₹30 crore, involved the construction of the sports academy, which includes 125 rooms.</p>

<p>Jaipur&#8217;s roads have become a network of potholes, and the responsible departments remain unresponsive. Millions of rupees were spent on a superficial patchwork, but the first rain washed it all away. As a result, citizens are forced to travel, risking both their vehicles and their lives. The situation from Gandhi Path to Galta Gate is such that it&#8217;s impossible to tell whether it&#8217;s water or a pothole on the road. Even after a reprimand from the High Court, no concrete plan has been formulated, nor has accountability been established.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Widespread Deterioration</h2>



<p>Roads are in a dilapidated condition from Gandhi Path West, along with Ramgarh Mod, Karbala, through Jaisinghpura Khore to Bajri Mandi Road, Maharana Pratap Marg, Vidhyut Nagar, and the main routes leading to the Watica Infotech City on Ajmer Road. Potholes and patchy repairs have made movement difficult. The worst affected is Gandhi Path West. For the past month, JDA engineers have seemingly used this road as a laboratory; they added soil, cement, and then laid asphalt. But as soon as it rained, the shoddy work was exposed, with potholes appearing everywhere, frequently trapping vehicles.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Other Roads in Poor Condition</h2>



<p>The JDA has failed to clear waterlogging outside the Chief Minister&#8217;s Jan Sunwai Kendra in Mansarovar. Potholes have appeared on the Delhi Highway near Galta Gate. Transport Nagar and Goner Road are also damaged. The 80-foot road near Mahesh Nagar crossing and the road from Gurjar Ki Thdi to the Sewage Farm Circle are unusable. The Greater Corporation has yet to repair the Nivaru Road. Roads leading to the industrial area are also in disrepair, despite being within the defect liability period.</p>

<p>The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) implemented a fare revision on Monday, 25 August 2025. This is the first fare increase in eight years, with the last revision occurring in 2017. According to the DMRC, the increase is minimal, ranging from ₹1 to ₹4 on most lines, with a maximum increase of ₹5 on the Airport Express Line.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Maximum Fare of ₹64 for Longest Distance</h2>



<p>Under the new fare structure, the minimum fare for 0-2 kilometres is now ₹11, while the maximum fare for distances exceeding 32 kilometres is ₹64. Previously, the minimum fare was ₹10. This revision applies to Delhi-NCR&#8217;s 390-kilometre-long metro network and over 285 stations.</p>

<p>Following the fare hike announcement, many commuters and social media users expressed their displeasure. Users on the social media platform ‘X’ voiced concerns about the rising cost of living and demanded transparency from the DMRC regarding the utilisation of this increased revenue.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">DMRC&#8217;s Response</h2>



<p>DMRC officials stated that the fare revision was necessary for operational stability, maintaining high service standards, and future infrastructure upgrades. This move is intended to support the maintenance and expansion of Delhi Metro&#8217;s vast network, but passenger discontent makes it a controversial decision.</p>

<p>A horrifying incident has come to light from Hyderabad. A deranged husband brutally murdered his five-month pregnant wife. He was apprehended while disposing of her dismembered body.</p>



<p>It is reported that before being caught by the police, he had already thrown the head, hands, and legs into a river. Police informed that the woman&#8217;s torso was still in her house.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Mahendra and Swati had a love marriage</h2>



<p>The deceased has been identified as 21-year-old Swati , a resident of Kamareddyguda in Vikarabad district. She was five months pregnant. The murder took place in Balaji Hills, Medipally, Hyderabad.</p>



<p>The accused has been identified as Mahendra. Swati and Mahendra fell in love and got married. Afterward, they started living in Balaji Hills. Mahendra worked as a driver for a ride-hailing company.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Accused called his sister after the murder</h2>



<p>Police said that around 4:30 pm on Saturday, Mahendra murdered Swati. He then dismembered her body and disposed of some parts.</p>



<p>Later, he called his sister and informed her that his wife was missing. The sister became suspicious and informed a relative, who took her to the police station.</p>



<p>Police stated that at the station, Mahendra initially tried to claim his wife was missing, but during interrogation, he confessed to murdering his wife.</p>

<p>Delhi Police have made a significant breakthrough in the case of the rapid firing incident that took place on August 17th at the Gurugram residence of Elvish Yadav, YouTuber and winner of Bigg Boss OTT-2. The Delhi Police Special Cell arrested two more shooters, identified as Gaurav Singh alias Nikka (22) and Aditya Tiwari (19). Both accused are residents of Faridabad and Uttar Pradesh and are linked to the Himanshu Bhaau gang.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Approximately 24-25 Rounds Fired</h2>



<p>According to the police, Gaurav and Aditya were apprehended near Shahbad Dairy in a planned operation. They were directly involved in the shooting outside Elvish Yadav&#8217;s Sector-57 residence at around 5:30 am on August 17th. Approximately 24-25 rounds were fired, captured on CCTV footage. Elvish was not present at home at the time, but his family members were. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Himanshu Bhaau Gang Claimed Responsibility</h2>



<p>Following the firing, the Bhaau gang claimed responsibility for the attack on social media. Gangster Neeraj Faridpuria and Himanshu Bhaau alias Bhaau Ritolya claimed in a post that Elvish Yadav had ruined many families through the promotion of gambling, leading to the attack. The post also warned other social media influencers.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Police Action</h2>



<p>The Delhi Police Special Cell and the Faridabad Crime Branch acted swiftly. They previously arrested a shooter, Ishant alias Ishu Gandhi, in an encounter. Ishant was apprehended in Jawahar Colony, Faridabad, where he fired upon the police and was injured in retaliatory fire. Another accused, Jatin (24), linked to a bike-taxi service and who provided the motorcycle for the firing, was also arrested.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Accused Planned to Flee the Country</h2>



<p>Police stated that Gaurav and Aditya were attempting to flee towards the Nepal border but were apprehended in time based on intelligence. Interrogation is underway to ascertain the motives behind the conspiracy and identify other individuals involved. Police are also investigating whether the attack was solely planned by the Himanshu Bhaau gang or if other gangs were involved.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Elvish Previously Involved in Controversies</h2>



<p>Elvish Yadav has been embroiled in several controversies before. Besides promoting gambling, an investigation is also underway against him in a case related to snake venom. This firing incident has raised concerns about his safety. Police have registered an FIR at Sector-56 police station, Gurugram, and have expedited the investigation. Joint teams from Delhi and Haryana Police are conducting raids in Haryana, Rajasthan, and Delhi to search for other suspects. Further revelations in this case are expected.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Income Tax Department Report Reveals Scam, Food Ministry Issues Notices</h2>



<p>A report from the Income Tax Department to the Food Department revealed that individuals claiming to be poor and benefiting from government schemes are actually wealthy, with annual incomes exceeding ₹6 lakh. They fraudulently included themselves in the BPL cardholder category by misrepresenting their financial status. Following the identification of these tax payers, action has begun to remove them from the list, and notices have been served.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Beneficiaries Served with Notices</h2>



<p>DSO HS Muvel stated that notices have been issued to approximately 4300 beneficiaries in the district whose incomes exceed ₹6 lakh. They have been given 15 days to respond. Some beneficiaries, while not millionaires, have filed tax returns for home loans. These individuals can present their case before the SDM.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Ultimatum in the Notices</h2>



<p>Notices have been issued to individuals in the district who have filed income tax returns or have an annual income exceeding ₹6 lakh through the relevant SDM office. The notices state that they are receiving free food grains under PMGKAY despite their annual income exceeding ₹6 lakh (as per information from the Income Tax Department). Therefore, their eligibility is questionable. The notices demand an explanation within 15 days, failing which their eligibility slips will be cancelled. These notices target three categories of individuals: those holding senior positions in companies, those filing tax returns with an annual income exceeding ₹6 lakh, and those with bank transactions exceeding ₹25 lakh.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">e-KYC Issues Prevent Some Eligible Beneficiaries from Receiving Benefits</h2>



<p>Conversely, some eligible beneficiaries in the district are unable to receive food grains due to a lack of e-KYC. These individuals frequently raise complaints during public hearings. The inability to obtain fingerprints from the elderly and children is hindering their e-KYC process.</p>

UP International Trade Show: Unique showcase of schemes and achievements at India Expo Mart from 25 to 29 September


<p><strong>Lucknow:</strong> Preparations are underway for the third edition of the UP International Trade Show to be held at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida. This year&#8217;s show will not be limited to trade alone; various departments of the state government will also showcase their achievements, projects, and schemes.</p>



<p>Scheduled for 25-29 September, this grand event has allocated a total area of 37,085 square meters for various stalls, of which 28,649 square meters have already been booked. This clearly indicates that this year&#8217;s UP International Trade Show will truly set a new benchmark for participation, giving a new identity to the state&#8217;s economic and cultural strength.</p>



<p>Departments associated with industrial development, such as Invest UP, UPEIDA, GNIDA, YIDA, and Noida, will be major attractions at the show. The IT &amp; Electronics, Energy, and New &amp; Renewable Energy departments will also display their schemes.</p>



<p>To attract visitors, special stalls will be set up related to urban development, tourism &amp; culture, and the Namami Gange (Clean Ganga Mission) initiative. The Irrigation Department, Food Safety and Drugs Administration, Health &amp; Hospitals, AYUSH, Environment, and Forest departments will also participate.</p>



<p>Departments related to the rural economy, such as the Agriculture Department, Dairy Development, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, and UPSRLM, will showcase their achievements. ODOP and GI products will also attract the attention of domestic and international visitors.</p>



<p>This year, stalls related to Sugar &amp; Cane, Textiles &amp; Handlooms, CREDAI, Banking &amp; Finance, Transport (Auto-EV), UPSDM, and Higher Education will also enhance the show.</p>



<p>Furthermore, initiatives like CM Yuva, New Entrepreneurs, and Partner Country Pavilions will be centres of attraction. In addition to departmental stalls, the venue will feature food courts, B2B and B2C stages, and a cultural stage hosting various cultural activities and shows.</p>

Vande Bharat sleeper train set to run from Delhi to Patna, update on Patna Metro shared


<p>The Modi government is reportedly planning to unveil several initiatives in Bihar ahead of the state assembly elections. One such initiative involves the launch of India&#8217;s first semi-high-speed Vande Bharat sleeper train, connecting Delhi and Patna. Railway sources indicate that the train is slated for launch in September, with Prime Minister Modi potentially flagging it off. This new category of train boasts special amenities, premium catering, and a design capable of reaching speeds up to 160 kilometres per hour.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">10-15% Higher Fares Expected</h2>



<p>The fare for the Vande Bharat sleeper train is expected to be 10-15% higher than that of the Rajdhani Express, the railway&#8217;s premium train service. A dynamic fare system will be implemented. According to a senior Railway Board official, the Vande Bharat train&#8217;s trial run has been completed, and the train arrived at the Shakurbasti shed (train set depot) in Delhi last week. This week, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will brief the media on the train&#8217;s features. Sources indicate that while final decisions regarding fares and the route are pending, the train&#8217;s launch between Delhi and Patna is likely, considering the upcoming Bihar assembly elections.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">PM to Inaugurate Patna Metro</h2>



<p>Prime Minister Modi&#8217;s visit is tentatively scheduled for the third or fourth week of September. Sources suggest that, in addition to inaugurating the primary corridor of the Patna Metro, he may also flag off the first semi-high-speed Vande Bharat sleeper train. Preparations for the Patna Metro inauguration are underway, although the Patna Metro Rail Corporation is yet to receive formal confirmation from the Prime Minister&#8217;s Office. Meanwhile, power supply to the metro depot will commence within three days, followed by phased trials of the power supply between the New Patliputra Bus Terminal station and Malahi Pakri on the primary corridor.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">12,000 Special Trains for Diwali and Chhath</h2>



<p>Earlier, the Railway Minister announced the operation of 12,000 special trains in Bihar during Diwali and Chhath. Minister Vaishnaw explained that the railways face a massive influx of passengers to and from Bihar during these festivals. To address this, special trains will be deployed to ensure smooth travel for those returning to Bihar from Delhi and other cities. These trains may operate for two weeks, facilitating the homecoming of migrants. Concurrently, the railways have launched a pilot scheme for round-trip packages, offering a discount of up to 20% on return tickets when purchased together. This facility will be available from 13 October to 1 December 2025, applicable to all trains and classes.</p>
