
<p><strong>CSIR NET Result 2025:</strong> The CSIR-UGC NET June 2025 exam result will be released soon. The wait for candidates who appeared in this exam is about to end. The exam was conducted on July 28, 2025, and its provisional answer key was released on August 1, 2025, on the official website. Every year, lakhs of candidates participate in this exam to get an opportunity for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) or as an Assistant Professor in universities and colleges.</p>

<li>On the website&#8217;s homepage, click on the “CSIR NET June 2025 Result” link.</li>



<li>Then, fill in the application number, date of birth, and security pin.</li>



<li>After this, the result and scorecard will be displayed on the screen. It can then be downloaded.</li>



<li>Candidates must also ensure their registered mobile number and email ID are active to receive all result-related information in a timely manner.</li>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Minimum Qualifying Marks</h2>



<p>Regarding the minimum qualifying marks to pass this exam, a minimum of 33% marks is mandatory for General, EWS (Economically Weaker Section), and OBC (Other Backward Classes) category candidates. For SC (Scheduled Caste), ST (Scheduled Tribe), and PwD (Persons with Disability) candidates, this limit is set at 25%.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Subjects Covered in the Exam</h2>



<p>The CSIR NET is conducted in five major science-related subjects: Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Earth Sciences. Each subject has a separate syllabus, question paper, and minimum cut-off.</p>

Mumbai battered by heavy rains: School bus submerged, police rescue children


<p>Heavy rainfall in Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, and Raigad districts has severely disrupted daily life. Roads in low-lying areas of Mumbai, the financial capital, are inundated. Considering the situation, all schools and colleges operating in the afternoon shift have been declared closed for the day. The meteorological department has issued a two-day ‘red alert’ for Mumbai and several districts in the Konkan region.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Mumbai’s Pace Halted as Roads Submerge</h2>



<p>Mumbai has been experiencing torrential rainfall since last night. Low-lying areas in several parts of the city, including Dadar, Matunga, Juhu, Andheri, Santacruz, Kurla, Sion, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar, Malad, Goregaon, and Kandivali, are waterlogged. In some places, the water level has reached waist height. Local trains, considered Mumbai’s lifeline, are also running behind schedule. Tracks near several stations, including Kurla, are submerged, affecting local train services.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, a Don Bosco School bus got stuck in rainwater near the Matunga police station. Six young children, two female staff members, and the driver were trapped for about an hour. Upon receiving information, Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Pawar from Matunga, along with his team, arrived at the scene and safely rescued all the children, bringing them to the police station.</p>



<p>Reports suggest that the Don Bosco School bus got stuck in severe waterlogging in Gandhi Market, Sion, on Monday morning, worsening the situation. A video of this incident has also surfaced. The swift action by the Mumbai Police is being widely appreciated.</p>

<p>Commenting on the heavy rainfall in Mumbai, Maharashtra Minister Ashish Shelar stated, “I am personally at the Mumbai Municipal Corporation’s disaster control room… We have also held a meeting. Discussions were held with the commissioner as per the Chief Minister’s instructions… Schools and colleges have been closed in the afternoon. Trains and local trains are running slightly behind schedule… Instructions have been given to provide BEST bus alternatives if passenger numbers increase at Dadar Terminal, CSMT, Kurla, and Sion… Information has been received about trees falling in some places; instructions have been given to remove them as soon as possible to avoid traffic problems.”</p>

<p><strong>Trump-Zelensky Meeting:</strong> US President Donald Trump stated that Ukraine should abandon its aspirations of joining NATO. <p>He also pressured Ukraine to accept a peace agreement, suggesting that with some concessions, the war, ongoing for over three years, could be swiftly concluded. Trump cited Russia&#8217;s annexation of Crimea during former US President Barack Obama&#8217;s 2014 tenure on Truth Social. Trump stated that Zelensky could choose to end the war with Russia immediately or continue a protracted conflict, but should remember how it began.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Leading European Figures in Attendance</h2>



<p>Today, alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, prominent European leaders, along with NATO and EU heads, will meet with US President Donald Trump in Washington. It&#8217;s anticipated that during the meeting with Zelensky, Trump might pressure the Ukrainian president to cede the Donbas region as part of a peace agreement with Russia. In response, European leaders, who have stood by Ukraine for over three and a half years, are arriving in Washington to present a united front in support of Zelensky.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Trump Spoke with Zelensky After the Summit</h2>



<p>It&#8217;s noteworthy that following the Alaska summit, US President Donald Trump held talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. During this conversation, Trump briefed Zelensky on the US-Russia summit. The discussion also included Ukraine potentially relinquishing certain territories. Zelensky responded that Ukraine cannot cede land without constitutional changes. He highlighted that key cities in Donetsk, such as Sloviansk and Kramatorsk, are strategically sensitive and prevent further Russian advances.</p>



<p>He also emphasised Ukraine&#8217;s need for security guarantees to prevent future Russian aggression. Zelensky stated that they seek lasting peace for Ukraine, not another ceasefire amidst Russian attacks. Meanwhile, in media interactions, Trump had stated that Ukraine should agree to a peace deal with Russia, asserting that Russia is a major military power and Ukraine is no match for it.</p>

<p><strong>Kseniya Alexandrova Dies:</strong> Sad news has emerged from the fashion and modelling world. Kseniya Alexandrova, a contestant in the 2017 Miss Universe Russia pageant, died in a road accident. The 30-year-old model had married four months before the accident and was with her husband at the time. Her husband was driving the car. The accident occurred on 5 July, and she fought for her life between then and 12 August, ultimately succumbing to her injuries.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Kseniya Alexandrova Dies</h2>



<p>According to Russian media reports, this tragic accident occurred while Kseniya was travelling with her husband in the Tver Oblast. Suddenly, a large elk appeared on the road and collided with their car. The impact was so severe that the elk smashed through the car&#8217;s windscreen and entered the vehicle.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Model&#8217;s Husband Recounts the Day&#8217;s Events</h2>



<p>The couple sustained serious injuries in the accident and were rushed to the hospital. Her husband, recalling the horrific scene, stated: “When it (the elk) leaped out, I didn&#8217;t understand anything at all. The elk&#8217;s legs went through the car window, causing serious injuries to Kseniya&#8217;s head and brain. She lost consciousness. Her head was split open, and she was covered in blood.” Kseniya Alexandrova remained hospitalised for over a month following the accident. Doctors made every effort to save her, but were ultimately unsuccessful.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Kseniya Alexandrova Married Her Boyfriend</h2>



<p>Kseniya Alexandrova had a brilliant career. She was a well-known face in Russia. In 2017, she was the first runner-up in the Miss Russia competition and represented Russia in the Miss Universe pageant the same year. Her talent and beauty brought her global recognition. She married her boyfriend in April of this year and shared pictures of her wedding on social media. This accident, occurring just months after her wedding, has deeply shocked her entire family.</p>

<p>The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced its squad for the Asia Cup 2025. The Indian team announcement is scheduled for 19 August, with the tournament commencing on 9 September. Suryakumar Yadav, having passed his fitness test, is set to remain captain. Eleven players are considered certainties for the squad, with four more strong contenders for the 15-member team. <p>Kota city in the Hadoti region of Rajasthan experienced a sudden weather change on Sunday. The day began with sticky heat and heavy humidity, causing considerable discomfort. Fans and coolers proved ineffective against the intense heat. Around 1 pm, there was a light drizzle, which, instead of providing relief, increased the humidity.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Heavy Rainfall with Gusts of Wind</h2>



<p>However, around 4 pm, a significant weather change occurred. Heavy rain accompanied by strong gusts of wind and thunder provided much-needed relief from the heat. This downpour, lasting about half an hour, cooled and refreshed the atmosphere.</p>



<p>According to the meteorological department, Kota&#8217;s maximum temperature on Sunday was 34.5 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 27.2 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal. Morning humidity reached 94%. A total of 5.8 mm of rainfall was recorded between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm, while the total rainfall in the previous 24 hours was 0.8 mm. The average wind speed was 6 km per hour.</p>



<p>Other areas of Kota district also experienced mixed weather conditions. Ramganjmandi experienced a light shower for 15 minutes followed by sunshine, while Satlakhedi received good rainfall accompanied by loud thunder.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Forecast for the Coming Days</h2>



<p>The meteorological department predicts moderate to heavy rainfall with thunderstorms in parts of Udaipur and Jodhpur divisions in southern Rajasthan over the next 3-4 days. Light to moderate rainfall is expected in Kota, Ajmer, Jaipur, Bharatpur, and Bikaner divisions. The formation of a new monsoon system in the Bay of Bengal during the last week of August is expected to accelerate monsoon activity across Rajasthan.</p>

World Breast Cancer Research Day, observed on 18 August, highlights the importance of ongoing research and early detection. Are you aware that breast cancer can occur without a lump? Recognising subtle symptoms such as skin changes, nipple discharge, and inflammation is crucial for timely treatment.</p>



<p>Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers worldwide, affecting millions of women and some men annually. It is the most frequently diagnosed cancer globally and a leading cause of cancer-related deaths in women. According to the World Health Organization, in 2022, there were approximately 2.3 million new cases of breast cancer worldwide, resulting in around 670,000 deaths.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">By 2050, Approximately 3.2 Million New Cases and 1.1 Million Deaths Annually</h2>



<p>In 2025, breast cancer remains a significant health problem, with an estimated 2.3 million new cases expected annually. The number of deaths from this disease is also expected to increase significantly. The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) estimates that, if the current trend continues, there will be approximately 3.2 million new cases and 1.1 million deaths annually by 2050.</p>



<p>A lump in the breast is often the most common and initial sign requiring a mammogram and a doctor&#8217;s visit. While many consider a lump the first sign of breast cancer, it is not the only symptom. Many subtle signs, ranging from minor skin changes like rashes or itching to changes in breast size, nipple discharge, or even persistent fatigue and weight loss, can indicate breast cancer.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Can Someone Have Breast Cancer Without a Lump? </h2>



<p>Can you have breast cancer without a lump? The answer is yes. Many believe a lump is the only sign of breast cancer, but research shows this isn&#8217;t always the case. While most are aware that a lump can be a warning sign, fewer than half know that some cancers can develop without one.</p>



<p>Studies show that most breast cancers do not begin as a lump, and when a lump is found, it often indicates a more advanced or rapidly growing tumour. For example, ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), a form of breast cancer commonly detected through routine mammograms, is rarely felt as a lump.</p>



<p>Some types of breast cancer, such as lobular carcinoma and inflammatory breast cancer, often present without a lump. According to one medical study, approximately one in six women are diagnosed with breast cancer when they present with symptoms other than a lump and seek medical advice.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why is Early Detection Crucial?</h2>



<p>Early detection of breast cancer significantly increases the chances of successful treatment before it spreads. Imaging tools such as mammograms are among the most effective methods for early detection of breast cancer, often identifying the cancer long before it is noticeable. According to the American Cancer Society, the survival rate for breast cancer treated at a localised stage is approximately 99%, but this rate decreases significantly with late detection.</p>

<p>Over the past decade, Rajasthan&#8217;s government and private medical colleges have produced 15,000 new doctors. The number of medical colleges in the state has reached 42, with 5,668 MBBS seats. This means that in the next ten years, the state will produce 56,668 new doctors. However, the pace of government recruitment is so slow that annual recruitment targets are still not being met. According to the CAG report 2025, approximately 10,000 doctors were recruited in the eight years from 2016-17 to 2024-25. Meanwhile, more than 15,000 MBBS graduates passed out between 2022-25. In short, new doctors are being trained, but there aren&#8217;t enough positions for them in hospitals. </p>



<p>The situation for specialist doctors is no different. While there has been an increase in PG seats, appointments are primarily limited to medical colleges. Hospitals in rural and tribal areas continue to struggle with a shortage of specialist doctors. Experts suggest that instead of focusing on existing sanctioned posts, a cadre review should be conducted to sanction posts based on the needs of the hospitals.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Doctor Shortage: Up to 35%</h2>



<p>According to the CAG and HDI reports, the shortage of doctors in primary and secondary level institutions is 35.51%, and for specialist doctors, it&#8217;s 38.55%. Tertiary institutions also have 21.45% vacant doctor posts and 24.89% vacant specialist posts. The number of colleges and seats has also increased. As of 31 March 2016, there were eight government medical colleges in seven districts of the state. According to the NEET-UG 2025 seat matrix, Rajasthan now has 42 medical colleges – 30 government and 12 private – with 5,668 approved MBBS seats (3,618 government and 2,050 private). Between 2022 and 2025, a mere three years, 1,231 seats were added, with 841 of these in government colleges. This means hundreds of new doctors are being trained every year.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Annual Recruitment Efforts Ongoing – Minister of Medical and Health</h2>



<p>The Minister of Medical and Health, Gajendra Singh Khimsar, stated that with the increase in the number of medical colleges, the number of new doctors has also increased rapidly. Recently, 1,700 new doctors were appointed. Efforts are underway to increase the number of new recruitment posts and to make recruitment an annual process.</p>

<p><strong>Katni.</strong> A sensational case of human trafficking and rape involving a 15-year-old girl has come to light in the Rangnath Nagar police station area. The girl was sold for ₹120,000 in Haryana by her friend&#8217;s mother, who then forced her into marriage. In this heinous crime, the accused woman posed as the girl&#8217;s mother and another individual as her maternal uncle to facilitate the deal. After the girl failed to return home for 15 days, her family filed a complaint, prompting a police investigation that uncovered this serious case of human trafficking.</p>



<p>Upon receiving information about the disappearance of the 15-year-old girl residing in the Rangnath Nagar police station area, her parents contacted the local police. The family stated that the girl frequently visited her friend&#8217;s house. When she did not return home for 15 days, the family appealed to CSP Neha Pacchisya. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the CSP immediately launched an investigation. On 5 August, a case of the girl&#8217;s abduction was registered at the Rangnath Nagar police station, and a search was initiated.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Unveiling the Secret</h2>



<p>The police questioned the girl&#8217;s friend&#8217;s mother, Sapna Gurjar (35), a resident of Bandhwa Tola, originally from Rajasthan. Initially evasive, Sapna confessed her crime under intense questioning. She revealed that she had conspired with a young man from Haryana to sell the girl for ₹120,000 and force her into marriage.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Girl Found in Haryana; Forced Marriage Revealed</h2>



<p>Acting swiftly, the police raided Hooda district, Palwal in Haryana, where the girl was found in the custody of Robbie Jat (25). During questioning, Robbie admitted to paying Sapna Gurjar and the alleged maternal uncle ₹120,000 to marry the girl. The girl had been trying to escape for the past eight days, but Robbie had prevented her from doing so. The police rescued the girl, arrested Robbie, and brought him to Katni.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Human Trafficking Ring; Search for Two Others</h2>



<p>The police investigation revealed that Sapna Gurjar was running a gang that trafficked girls and forced them into marriage. Two other individuals from Jhansi and Haryana are also involved in this case, and the police are searching for them. A case has been registered against Sapna Gurjar and Robbie Jat under the Human Trafficking Act, Rape Act, Kidnapping Act, POCSO Act, and SC/ST Act. Sapna Gurjar was presented before the court on 12 August and sent to jail. Similarly, Robbie Jat was produced in court on 14 August and also sent to jail. The girl has been safely reunited with her parents.</p>



<p><strong>Statement</strong><br>A woman, along with a young man, sold a girl in Haryana and forced her into marriage. This human trafficking racket was exposed following a complaint from the family.
