
<p><strong>CISF Recruitment 2025:</strong> Good news for young people seeking employment with the CISF (Central Industrial Security Force). Given the country&#8217;s needs, the CISF will recruit 70,000 personnel. These appointments will be finalised over the next five years. This is excellent news for young people, providing them with employment opportunities. The Ministry of Home Affairs has decided to increase the number of CISF personnel. According to media reports, the current strength is 1.62 lakh, and this has been approved to be increased to 2.20 lakh.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">These Recruitments to Take Place Over Five Years</h2>



<p>These 70,000 recruitments will not be conducted simultaneously. Instead, appointments will be made over a five-year period, with a plan to recruit an average of 14,000 personnel annually. A decrease in Naxalism has been observed in states like Chhattisgarh, leading to expectations of new recruitments and the establishment of industrial centres. Furthermore, there is a target to eliminate Maoist activities in Chhattisgarh by 2026, for which the CISF is required.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Last Year&#8217;s CISF Recruitment</h2>



<p>The CISF recruited 13,230 personnel last year. Further recruitments were also carried out. In 2025, the selection process is underway for 24,098 CISF positions. Recruitments are also being conducted through various quotas. The government is now planning to recruit 4,000 personnel annually for five years. This will include the participation of women. These recruits will be deployed in various departments.</p>

<p><strong>Vegetable Price Hike:</strong> Vegetable prices in Jaipur are skyrocketing. These days, the heat of inflation in the kitchen is far greater than the spice of the food. Tomatoes are red with anger, ginger is twisting and turning, making the taste of inflation felt, and the pungency of green chillies is now felt not just on the tongue but also in the pocket.</p>



<p>In fact, from the wholesale markets of the capital, Jaipur, to the street vendors in the colonies, the high vegetable prices during the festive season have disrupted the household budgets of consumers. Due to reduced supply during the rainy season and crop damage, vegetable prices are continuously increasing. This has also affected the supply from other states.</p>

<p>The supply of goods in Muhana, the capital&#8217;s largest wholesale fruit and vegetable market, has been halved. According to Yogesh Tanwar, President of the Jaipur Fruit and Vegetable Wholesalers Association, Muhana Terminal, the wholesale price of tomatoes on Monday was ₹50-55 per kg. This increase is expected to continue, with relief only anticipated by the second week of September. The wholesale price of green chillies was ₹40. Currently, its supply is coming from Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh. Tanwar stated that prices may decrease slightly once supplies begin from Rajkot in Gujarat and Sawai Madhopur.</p>

<p><strong>MP Weather:</strong> The monsoon has returned to Madhya Pradesh with a new system. Due to a strong monsoon system, heavy rainfall is expected in the last days of August. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon trough is passing through the west-south part of MP. Simultaneously, two cyclonic circulations, two troughs, and a low-pressure area are active. This is causing continuous heavy rain in the Indore-Ujjain division. The Meteorological Department predicts that the rain system will strengthen further from 21 August, potentially leading to extremely heavy rainfall. A warning has been issued for heavy rain in nine districts in the next 24 hours.</p>

A yellow alert for thunderstorms and light rain has been issued for the rest of the state.</p>

<p>A tragic incident has unfolded in Ahalyanagar district, Maharashtra. A devastating fire engulfed a furniture shop in the Nevasa area on Monday, leaving the entire locality shaken. The intensity of the fire was such that four members of the Rasane family, who were asleep in the house above the shop, perished.</p>



<p>The victims include the shop owner, Mayur Arun Rasane (45 years), his wife Payal Mayur Rasane (38 years), their 10-year-old son Ansh, and their 7-year-old son Chaitanya. They were all burnt alive. Two other family members, 25-year-old Yash Kiran Rasane and a 70-year-old woman, sustained severe injuries and are currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.</p>



<p>According to Nevasa police, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. The fire was so intense that the fire brigade faced significant challenges in bringing it under control. The incident has cast a pall of gloom over the entire area. An entire family was wiped out overnight. Locals have described the incident as a heart-wrenching tragedy.</p>



<p>Officials stated that Mayur Rasane&#8217;s furniture shop is located under the jurisdiction of the Nevasa police station. The Rasane family resided in rooms built above the shop. A massive fire broke out in the shop in the wee hours of Monday morning. The fire was so fierce that the Rasane family sleeping on the upper floor did not even get a chance to escape, resulting in the tragic death of four individuals. An investigation into the matter is currently underway.</p>


<p>Officials reported that the shop owner lived above his furniture shop with his wife and children. The entire family perished in a devastating fire on Monday.</p>

<p>The Bollywood industry is once again in mourning. Veteran actor Achyut Potdar, known for his role as the professor in the film &#8216;3 Idiots&#8217;, has passed away at the age of 91. He had been unwell for some time and suddenly collapsed last night. He was rushed to the hospital, but his condition continued to deteriorate, and he passed away three days before his birthday.</p>

<p>The news of actor Achyut Potdar&#8217;s death was shared on social media by several Marathi TV channels. Many paid tribute to him by sharing posts. This news has caused a wave of grief in both the Hindi and Marathi film industries. Before entering the film industry, Achyut Potdar worked for 25 years in the army and the Indian Oil Company. <p>Over the past decade, Rajasthan&#8217;s government and private medical colleges have produced 15,000 new doctors. The number of medical colleges in the state has reached 42, with 5,668 MBBS seats. This means that in the next ten years, the state will produce 56,668 new doctors. However, the pace of government recruitment is so slow that annual recruitment targets are still not being met. According to the CAG report 2025, approximately 10,000 doctors were recruited in the eight years from 2016-17 to 2024-25. Meanwhile, more than 15,000 MBBS graduates passed out between 2022-25. In short, new doctors are being trained, but there aren&#8217;t enough positions for them in hospitals. </p>



<p>The situation for specialist doctors is no different. While there has been an increase in PG seats, appointments are primarily limited to medical colleges. Hospitals in rural and tribal areas continue to struggle with a shortage of specialist doctors. Experts suggest that instead of focusing on existing sanctioned posts, a cadre review should be conducted to sanction posts based on the needs of the hospitals.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Doctor Shortage: Up to 35%</h2>



<p>According to the CAG and HDI reports, the shortage of doctors in primary and secondary level institutions is 35.51%, and for specialist doctors, it&#8217;s 38.55%. Tertiary institutions also have 21.45% vacant doctor posts and 24.89% vacant specialist posts. The number of colleges and seats has also increased. As of 31 March 2016, there were eight government medical colleges in seven districts of the state. According to the NEET-UG 2025 seat matrix, Rajasthan now has 42 medical colleges – 30 government and 12 private – with 5,668 approved MBBS seats (3,618 government and 2,050 private). Between 2022 and 2025, a mere three years, 1,231 seats were added, with 841 of these in government colleges. This means hundreds of new doctors are being trained every year.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Annual Recruitment Efforts Ongoing – Minister of Medical and Health</h2>



<p>The Minister of Medical and Health, Gajendra Singh Khimsar, stated that with the increase in the number of medical colleges, the number of new doctors has also increased rapidly. Recently, 1,700 new doctors were appointed. Efforts are underway to increase the number of new recruitment posts and to make recruitment an annual process.</p>

<p><strong>ICAI CA Admit Card:</strong> The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released the admit cards for the Chartered Accountant (CA) Intermediate and Final examinations scheduled for September 2025. Candidates who have applied for the examination can now download their admit cards from the official website, <a href="eservices.icai.org">eservices.icai.org</a>. Candidates will require their registration number and SSP portal password to access their admit cards.
